Can You Marry Her

1/4/2026

Jumin Jing suddenly grabbed her arm. "Stop right there!"

"What are you doing? Let go of me!" Luna Lian struggled hard.

Just then, Adrian Drake happened to walk by and saw the scene. He immediately rushed at Jumin Jing. "Jumin Jing! What do you think you're doing? Let her go!"

Jumin Jing released Luna Lian and said, "Adrian, I'm just talking to my cousin. This doesn't concern you, does it?"

"You can talk without grabbing her!" Adrian snapped, yanking Luna Lian behind him. "If you dare bully my people on my turf again, do you want to lose your hand?"

Jumin Jing's face darkened. "What, you want to chop off a High God's hand?"

"Try touching her again and see!" Adrian's killing intent surged, and he unleashed true energy.

Jumin Jing was a classic bully—tough on the weak, cowardly before the strong. Seeing Adrian like this, his tone instantly softened. "Why are you sticking your nose in? I was just talking to my cousin. What's your problem?"

Luna Lian said, "High God Jumin, if I recall, you once told me I wasn't even qualified to call you Cousin!"

Seeing them united against him, Jumin Jing sneered, "Hmph! Luna Lian, everyone says you like Adrian. Is it true?"

"Who I like is none of your business!" Luna Lian's face flushed red.

"Even if you like him, what's the point? Do you really think the noble Young Lord Adrian Drake would marry you?" Jumin Jing sneered. "You should take a look at yourself and see if you're even worthy!"

He pointed at Adrian: "Well, since he's right here, why don't we make it clear? Adrian, if you're willing to marry her, I'll back off right now! So, can you marry her or not?"

Adrian turned, stunned, to look at Luna Lian.

Wait, what did Jumin Jing just say?

Luna Lian likes him?

Smart, skillful, always striving to be better, everything she cooks is delicious, and she's beautiful no matter how you look at her—like a flawless jade in the morning dew. Luna Lian likes him?

Not only did she not deny it, she was blushing!

Oh my god!

Adrian stared at her, dazed, and secretly pinched his own thigh, still feeling like this couldn't be real.

Maybe he's just overthinking things lately, and this is all a dream?

"See? He doesn't want you!" Jumin Jing laughed smugly. "Your status doesn't match, so stop daydreaming! I'm not daydreaming—let's just settle and live together!"

Luna Lian took a deep breath and suddenly looked at Adrian. "Fine, since it's come to this, I'll admit it! Adrian, I've always liked you. Will you accept me?"

Adrian's heart thundered, his mouth went dry—he could hardly speak.

But suddenly, that thing that's been coiled in his heart like a poisonous snake came up again.

He... can't have children.

For a woman, not being able to have children would be a lifelong regret...

His Lian-Lian, the best senior sister in the world—how could she end up with someone so broken like him?

Adrian looked at Luna Lian, but still couldn't say a word.

Luna Lian stared at him, unblinking, as her heart slowly sank.

After a long moment, she nodded and turned to leave.

Jumin Jing called after her smugly, "See? Now you get it, right? With someone like you, having me want you is like your ancestors burning incense for eight generations!"

He turned to Adrian to explain, "I wasn't bullying her, I just wanted to arrange a betrothal! You misunderstood—ah!"

Before he could finish, Adrian punched him in the face. "Jumin Jing! Luna Lian is the best girl in the world! If I ever hear you speak badly of her again, I'll beat you to death!"
