Come On If You Dare, Hit Me

"Him... I hardly ever see him. He's always so busy—so busy, they say he doesn't even visit the harem anymore. Mother has tried to persuade him several times, but he won't listen. If this keeps up, how will we ever get a crown prince?" Princess Olivia Gu said worriedly.

Grace listened quietly without saying a word.

"Oh, did you hear? Consort Vivian's pregnancy has been confirmed," Princess Olivia continued. "It's a girl."

"Oh!" Grace responded.

She already knew it was a girl.

"When I was leaving the palace today, she asked me to pass a message to you," Princess Olivia added.

"What message?"

"She said thank you," Princess Olivia said, not quite understanding.

Grace nodded, saying nothing.

She was probably thanking Grace for the first time they'd met, when Grace reminded her about her pregnancy.

"Why is Consort Vivian thanking you?" Princess Olivia asked curiously.

"Probably... for helping her keep the baby! Last time I was in the palace, didn't she nearly lose the child?" Grace replied.

"So that's it..."

The two of them walked and chatted, when suddenly, Kevin Zhuo's voice rang out ahead: "...Jason Zhuo, you actually went and stole military supplies? If you need money, just say so! I've got plenty—I'll toss you a few coins! Now you've been stripped of your military rank, and you've thrown the Zhu Family's reputation right out the window!"

What a shameless jerk!

Grace was fuming and strode over to them.

Kevin Zhuo was still ranting, "I should go beg the elders to kick you out of the family! Otherwise, I'll be too embarrassed to even leave the house!"

Jason Zhuo said coldly, "Kevin, you and I both know what's really going on here!"

"Oh, I know all right! You're just broke and desperate!" Kevin sneered. "You really take after your mother! She was a thief, and now you steal things too. Like mother, like son—"

Jason's eyes flashed coldly. He grabbed Kevin by the collar: "Don't you dare insult my mother!"

"Oh? What are you doing—trying to hit me?" Kevin Zhuo raised his eyebrows. "Come on! Hit me if you've got the guts! If you don't, you're a coward—a spineless turtle!"

He was certain Jason would never dare hit him.

Otherwise, the old lady and his mother would never let him off!

Bang! A swift kick landed.

Kevin Zhuo was sent flying, landing hard in a patch of Thornbell Flowers.

Covered in thorns, Kevin struggled to his feet, roaring, "Who the hell dared to sneak attack me?"

Grace said calmly, "I kicked you. What? Didn't you say only cowards don't hit? My brother and I aren't cowards."

"Grace!" Kevin rushed out, but didn't dare get too close. He pointed at her, furious, "Just you wait!"

"Sure! I'll wait!" Grace said. "Run along and go cry to your mommy!"

Kevin, in pain and not wanting the princess to see him so embarrassed, glared fiercely at Grace and stormed off.

Ever since Grace hit him last time, he'd been a little afraid of her.

Getting beaten up really sucks.

The worst part is, Grace is now treated like a treasure by the whole Zhu Family. If she hits him, instead of scolding her, everyone rushes over to ask if her foot hurts...

It's enough to drive a guy crazy!

After Kevin stormed off, Princess Olivia looked at Jason Zhuo with concern. "Are you alright, Young Master?"
