Yina Saves the Day

1/4/2026

Yina Yin nodded nonchalantly and said, "You haven't seen Mrs. Miller in a while either, so you should stay a couple more days this time. No need to rush back. Sunset Manor can't start construction anyway, and I don't have much going on here. Plus, there are others to help out."

"I know." Cherry Miller smiled and nodded. "Drive safe, okay?"

"Got it." Yina Yin jumped into the car, waved, and sped off.

After Yina Yin left, Cherry Miller went to the property office first and asked them to fix the leaking spot in the garage today. Only then did she drive away.

Yina Yin drove to the company for a quick check-in first.

Ethan Yin and Miles Gu were both absent, so as the eldest daughter, she had to step up and do her rounds at the company.

Of course, even if something came up, she wouldn't actually handle it herself—she'd just tell people to send it to Ethan and the others overseas.

She was just here to supervise, really.

Yina Yin thought everything would go smoothly, but as soon as she arrived, someone stopped her: "Miss Yina, perfect timing. This document needs the president's signature. But the president isn't here right now, so—"

"Let me take a look." Yina Yin saw the group blocking her in the office. Looks like she wouldn't be escaping today, so she said, "Send whatever you can to my brother if possible."

The sharp sound startled all three of them.

The two men were about to curse her out, but when they saw the license plate, they instantly cooled off.

One of them came over and greeted her politely: "Sorry, we didn't mean to block the way. We'll leave right now."

Yina Yin lowered the window, glanced at Mason Ming, whose face was flushed, and asked the man, "Are you Mr. Quinn's people?"

"And you are...?" the man asked, uncertain.

"I'm Yina Yin," she said coolly. "You won't be taking Mason Ming today."

"Miss Yin?" The man finally realized who she was, his face stiffening. "Miss Yin, you're far too important to worry about this. If Mr. Quinn knows you let this slide, he'll definitely remember your kindness!"

"Are you threatening me?" Yina Yin got out of the car. "Using Mr. Quinn to threaten me? As if he's worthy!"

She shoved the man aside and walked toward Mason Ming. "Let him go."

The guy holding Mason Ming tried to say something, but Yina wasn't having it—she swung a punch.

Thud!

The man was sent flying by Yina Yin's punch!

Can't we ever talk things out? Every time, I have to get physical before people listen! So annoying!

The man spat out a mouthful of blood—and a tooth.

Don't be reckless! She's the Yin Family's eldest daughter!" The first man quickly helped his companion up and whispered, "Mr. Quinn wouldn't dare go head-to-head with the Yin Family!

So what now? Just let her take Mason Ming? We've waited so many days for this chance!

There'll be other chances!" The first man made a quick decision and said to Yina Yin, "Miss Yin, please go ahead! We wouldn't dare get in your way!

Glad you know your place. Get lost!" Yina said impatiently.

The two men gave Mason Ming a resentful look and left.

Mason Ming, eyes red, came over and thanked her quietly: "You saved me again today. I'm too weak—I always drag you into my mess."

It's not really your fault. But what about you? Didn't you say you were going to lay low for a few days? Why are you out today?" Yina asked.

A good friend of mine got sick today. If he couldn't perform, he'd have to pay ten times the penalty. He always looked out for me, so I took his place." Mason Ming said, sounding a bit uneasy. "I thought I wouldn't run into Mr. Quinn's people here, but I was wrong...

Yina Yin noticed Mason Ming's clothes weren't any big brand—just cheap street market stuff. Clearly, the boy wasn't well off.

He took the gig to make some money, right?

Thinking about it, Yina softened and asked, "Have you eaten yet?"

"Not hungry..." he started to say, but his stomach growled loudly, and his face instantly turned red.

Actually, he hadn't eaten anything since morning.

Cherry Miller always prepared his food fresh for the day—once it was gone, that was it.

Last night he crashed Yina's hotpot dinner, so today he felt awkward accepting food from the staff. He planned to do a gig and earn some money for food.

He hadn't expected to run into Mr. Quinn's men and need Yina's help again.

I haven't eaten either. If you're free, eat with me." Yina didn't hurt Mason's pride and said, "If you go home now, they'll just keep following you."

Mason Ming thought about it and realized she was right. He nodded, "Sorry for the trouble."

"Let's go." Yina shook her head, speechless. For a guy, he sure didn't have much fight in him.

Sigh, trouble just finds me!

Yina Yin took Mason Ming to a restaurant and ordered a table full of dishes.

But Mason Ming barely ate—he skipped the main course and only picked at some vegetables.

Yina Yin looked at his skinny arms and legs and couldn't help but say, "If you don't eat more, how will you have the strength to fight back against those chasing you?"

I can't," Mason Ming shook his head. "The company won't let me eat much. If I gain weight, they'll make me lose it. My contract says I can't go over 130 pounds—I have to stay between 110 and 120."

Yina Yin looked at Mason Ming—he must be about six feet tall, but so skinny!

How cruel!

It's fine, I eat small portions. I'm full." Mason Ming said quietly.

Actually, Mason Ming really envied Yina Yin.

That punch just now—she sent the guy flying. So cool!

That kind of strength—he dreamed of it, but could never have it.

"Suit yourself," Yina Yin said, not bothering to argue, and started eating.

People who box are always hungry.

Yina Yin was no exception.

She ate at least four times as much as Mason Ming.

But no matter how much she ate, she never got fat—she burned it all off boxing.

Sherry Yuan and Mia Gu were the same way.

No one in the house diets—they all work out, especially Sherry Yuan and Mia Gu, who do tons of physical training.

So, nobody in the family eats like a bird.

After the meal, Yina Yin paid the bill and said to Mason Ming, "I have things to do this afternoon. I'll have someone take you home."

No need..." Mason Ming began to refuse on instinct.

Yina Yin cut him off, "Can you be sure Mr. Quinn's men aren't waiting outside for you?"

Mason Ming didn't reply.

Yina Yin snapped her fingers—Sherry Yuan appeared silently.

Oh, you're back?" Yina Yin hadn't expected Sherry Yuan to be the one secretly following her today.

Yes, Miss," Sherry Yuan replied calmly. "I'm back to work."

Yina Yin nodded and said, "Escort him back to the apartment on Riverdale Avenue."

Yes," Sherry Yuan said, quietly standing to the side.

Sherry," Yina Yin thought for a moment, "Why don't you stay with us?"

Sherry Yuan paused, then replied, "Anything's fine."

Cherry Miller probably won't be back tonight, so you can have the guest room," Yina Yin said. "Once Cherry's back, we'll sort things out."
