"Ah! I finally did it—" Shawn Young was overjoyed. He knew that his risky move, forcing his way into the Divine Core, had merged his Primordial Spirit and consciousness into one. At this moment, he was one with the universe, able to sense the spirits of all things under the sky. His mind could even reach the vast divine realm, and now he finally had a chance to unleash the legendary Taoist secret arts!

After finishing the incantation, Shawn pressed his left hand to his heart, raised his right hand flat before his chest, and gave his tongue a sharp bite—"Pfft—" spraying a mist of blood. The blood scattered in the air like a dazzling red rain, instantly enveloping Shawn's body.
"Bang—" With a deafening crash, the ground within a kilometer suddenly shook violently. The sky's inky darkness was ripped apart, and from the western horizon burst a blinding golden light, tearing through the heavens and descending from above—"Whoosh!" It carried an unstoppable thunderous force, striking the earth and plunging straight into the hellfire-filled magma below!
"Boom—Rumble—" As the golden light hit the magma, the massive impact was like a super-sized boulder, sending the fiery lava splashing everywhere. The wild, domineering aura scattered in all directions, dyeing the sky and ground a vivid red. The scorching heat shot straight up to the clouds, making it feel as if hell itself had been smashed open. This terrifying power was simply beyond anything human!
"Huh? What the hell is going on?!" The rampaging Infernal Overlord was stunned by the sudden, overwhelming golden light from the heavens. He halted his attack, spread his black wings, and swooped down, determined to find out what this mysterious golden light was all about.
But the Infernal Overlord didn't expect that as soon as he got close to the golden light—"Whoosh!"—it suddenly split open, and a huge, furry paw shot out, grabbing straight for him!
"Uh—" The Infernal Overlord was totally caught off guard. He twisted his body, trying to dodge, but that furry paw was as fast as lightning. Before he could escape, it grabbed his long tail and yanked him toward the ground!
"Whoosh—Bang—" With a muffled thud, the Infernal Overlord was slammed hard into the ground, smashing a huge crater and sending dust flying everywhere. He was left dazed, battered, and covered in dirt!
"Yahaha—You filthy beast, turns out you’re just a giant freaky bird! Hilarious! Back in the day, your Grandpa Sun loved nothing more than smacking birds around!" A weird, mischievous laugh echoed from the golden light. As the glow faded, the celestial figure finally revealed his true form!
The celestial was over twenty feet tall, with a bizarre, intimidating look—pointed snout, monkey face, thunder-god features, a flashy purple-gold crown, a tight golden battle suit, and a dazzling golden chainmail cloak. In his hand was a gleaming staff that shone with spectacular golden light. His eyes flashed like lightning, radiating an awe-inspiring, murderous aura. Despite his fearsome appearance, his boldness shot straight to the heavens. This was none other than the legendary hero of China, beloved by all, the embodiment of justice and power, courage and resolve—the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong!
"Uh—Who the hell are you, you wild monkey? How dare you barge in here and mess around on my turf?!" The Infernal Overlord, still groggy from being slammed by Sun Wukong, climbed to his feet and shook his dazed head, then snarled viciously at him.
Turns out the Infernal Overlord was born during the era when the Yellow Emperor and Chiyou battled for supremacy. Back then, Sun Wukong hadn’t even been born yet—he was still gestating inside the celestial stone of the Eastern Continent, absorbing the essence of heaven and earth. So the Infernal Overlord came into being much earlier. When he was sealed by Master Furnace, Sun Wukong hadn’t appeared yet, only bursting out of the stone during the Sui-Tang transition to start his legendary saga! Of course, the sealed Infernal Overlord had no idea about any of this, which is why he didn’t recognize the famous, awe-inspiring Sun Wukong.
"Yahaha—You really are one dumb bird! You don’t even know your Grandpa Sun?! Must’ve been locked up for ages, huh? Hahaha—So, how’s it feel being suppressed all those years? Bet you had to deal with your own filth and stink the whole time! Just thinking about it pisses you off, doesn’t it? Wahahaha—" Sun Wukong grinned gleefully at the Infernal Overlord, taunting and cackling.
"I like it here, none of your damn business, you mangy wild monkey! Keep mouthing off and I’ll rip your monkey jaws off!" The Infernal Overlord, provoked by Sun Wukong’s relentless teasing, roared furiously, his anger boiling over.
"Yahaha—Locked up too long, any monster gets cranky! Big bird, you really are pitiful! Your Grandpa Sun had it way better—I got suppressed under Five Elements Mountain by Buddha himself for five hundred years! Lucky for me, my master Tang Monk helped me join the Buddhist order. But you, big bird, had no such luck! And bad news for you, the Supreme Purity Order’s Master Furnace summoned me here to help his disciple, so today, Grandpa Sun’s gonna beat you down. Get ready! Hahaha!" Sun Wukong kept mocking and provoking the Infernal Overlord without mercy.
