They originally thought they would arrive soon, but after Evan Yang saw that distant spot, it actually took nearly five more days just to reach the outskirts of the planet.
"Whew, we finally made it. This planet is pretty small," Evan Yang remarked, noticing its size.
"Yeah, it's really small. I've only been here once before," Ye Chen replied.
"What's your relationship with that person? He's not your master, is he?" Evan Yang asked curiously.
"You could say he's half my master. He met me by chance and brought me here. I was worried about my family, so after training here for a few years I left. I don't know how he's doing now," Ye Chen answered.
Evan Yang understood. Under Ye Chen's control, the ship approached the planet. As they entered its atmospheric layer, the ship suddenly plunged downward at a terrifying speed.
"What's going on?" Evan Yang exclaimed in shock, watching the ship's hull turn red as if it was about to melt.
"It's the gravity here. Be careful, I'll explain more in a bit," Ye Chen said, struggling to control the ship and slow its descent.
Even so, when they landed, there was a loud boom, as if something massive had crashed into the ground.
Evan Yang and Ye Chen crawled out of the ship, both feeling frustrated. The moment Evan Yang stepped outside, he felt the planet's gravity—similar to what he'd experienced in the Sea God's Temple, but much more intense. Right now, he felt as if his whole body was being pinned to the ground.
Right now, he could only prop himself up with his hands, sweating as he asked Ye Chen, "How come you're fine?"
"I have this," Ye Chen said, taking out a bead.
The bead protected Ye Chen.
"What is that?" Evan Yang asked, frustrated, still supporting himself on the ground.
"It's the Voidless Bead. Anything inside its light becomes weightless," Ye Chen explained with a smile. As she spoke, the bead radiated light.
Once the light covered him, Evan Yang regained his freedom. His face was drenched in sweat, and he exclaimed, "This Voidless Bead really is amazing."
"Yeah, it was given to me by that person. When I first came here, I was just like you—could barely walk," Ye Chen laughed.
Evan Yang grumbled, wondering how anyone could live on a planet like this. Looking at the ship, he saw it had smashed a pit about ten feet deep; the two of them had to fly up from below.
After reaching the surface, Evan Yang was stunned by what he saw.
All around were animals—sheep, cows, donkeys, even monkeys. Ordinary creatures from the mortal world, scattered everywhere.
"How come they're all fine?" Evan Yang asked, frustrated and unwilling to accept it.
"They were born here, so they're used to it. Even the weakest animal here could beat you," Ye Chen said, not mocking, just stating the facts.
Evan Yang protested, "No way, there's no chance I'd lose to these animals."
"Don't believe me? Then try it for yourself," Ye Chen laughed, and withdrew the bead's light from Evan Yang.
Almost instantly, Evan Yang collapsed, his hands sprawled on the ground. He grumbled, "You're not seriously asking me to fight them like this, are you?"
"That's right. Under equal conditions, let's see how you do against them," Ye Chen chuckled.
Evan Yang was frustrated. He could barely walk, let alone fight these animals. At least now he understood what Ye Chen meant.
Just then, a hearty laugh rang out from nearby. "Little Ye, you're here?"
"Senior!" Ye Chen cried out excitedly, rushing toward the voice. Meanwhile, Evan Yang struggled to stand, sweat pouring down his body and his muscles audibly twitching.
A white-bearded old man appeared, completely bald and looking rather strange. As soon as he saw Ye Chen, he burst out laughing. "I've finally been waiting for you to come back!"
"Senior, the way you say it, it's like I wouldn't have come back," Ye Chen said with a smile.
"Of course. You've been gone for fifty years," the White-Bearded Elder replied, laughing.
At that moment, Evan Yang complained, "You two can stop chatting. I'm about to collapse here."
"Hey, his body's pretty good—he can actually stand up," the White-Bearded Elder said, surprised to see Evan Yang still upright.
Only then did Ye Chen realize she'd gotten too excited and left Yang Han behind. She hurried over and released the bead's light.
The instant the light shone on him, Evan Yang felt much lighter, as if his body was floating. He sighed in relief, "Ah, that's better."
The White-Bearded Elder flashed over to Yang Han's side as well.
"Little Ye, is this your friend?" the White-Bearded Elder asked, smiling.
"Yes, he's my lifesaving benefactor—Evan Yang," Ye Chen introduced.
"Good, good, not bad at all," the White-Bearded Elder said, looking at Evan Yang and muttering as he circled the two.
Evan Yang got goosebumps, and sent a frustrated message, "Is this the senior you mentioned? Why is he so weird?"
"Don't underestimate him. See? He's walking here without any artifact, and he can even fly through the air. I can't do that, and neither can you," Ye Chen quickly explained, seeing Evan Yang's doubts.
Hearing there were no artifacts involved, Evan Yang was stunned. He remembered how fast the Elder had flown over—much faster than his own top speed. That would take immense power.
"Senior," Evan Yang greeted respectfully.
"Hmm, not bad, not bad. I wonder how strong you are?" the White-Bearded Elder asked curiously.
"Out-of-Body Realm, great completion," Evan Yang said awkwardly, feeling small in front of the Elder.
"Out-of-Body great completion? That's a bit low, but your potential is impressive," the White-Bearded Elder replied.
"You're too kind, Senior," Evan Yang said, awkwardly smiling. He hadn't shown any fighting skills, so how could the Elder know his potential? But he didn't say that aloud.
The White-Bearded Elder nodded, then turned to Ye Chen. "So what made you bring a friend this time?"
Ye Chen thought for a moment, then explained everything that had happened recently. After listening, the White-Bearded Elder said, "So that's what happened. But your clan was doing fine—why leave?"
Evan Yang also admired the White-Bearded Elder. To have a few friends who could make a major clan listen to them—he clearly wasn't an ordinary figure.
Ye Chen nodded, and Evan Yang saw the man disappear.
"Where did he go?" Evan Yang wondered, feeling as if the man had vanished right in front of his eyes.
