Fitness Set, Tenfold Drilling

2/14/2026

Faced with Evan Yang's convulsions, Ye Chen didn't know what to do. All she could do was pray for the White-Bearded Elder to return soon.

Evan Yang endured the pain of his whole body convulsing, sweating profusely.

"Hold on a bit longer," Ye Chen said worriedly.

Just then, the White-Bearded Elder returned. Seeing Evan's condition, he asked curiously, "What's going on?"

Ye Chen quickly explained, "After you left, he kept training outside again and again. Suddenly, for some reason, he started convulsing."

"He's really reckless. Who trains like this all at once?" the White-Bearded Elder exclaimed in shock after hearing this.

He quickly helped Evan up and took out a pill, stuffing it into Evan's mouth.

To Evan's frustration, he was stunned by the pill. As soon as he swallowed it, all its essence was absorbed by the Heaven-Cold Seed, and it had no effect at all.

Seeing that the pill had no effect, the White-Bearded Elder was startled and muttered, "Strange, why isn't it working?"

"Senior, what's really going on?" Ye Chen asked worriedly, looking at Evan's face. Evan himself was even more frustrated, forced to endure the intense convulsions.

"Kid, I'll teach you a fitness set. You must learn it well, or it'll be hard to resolve your current condition," said the White-Bearded Elder, seeing the pill didn't work.

Hearing there was another way, Evan nodded. Once Evan agreed, the White-Bearded Elder stood in the light and began practicing steps, synchronizing his hand movements. It looked simple, but every move had a specific order and speed, and each speed was different.

Any deviation could affect the results, so when teaching Evan, the White-Bearded Elder told him that every segment had to be performed at the designated speed.

Seeing how strange it was, and that he couldn't exceed the speed for certain moves or slow down, Evan realized it would be difficult.

For example, to link one move to the next, you had to instantly change speed as you transitioned.

The whole process took a quarter of an hour. After finishing all three hundred and sixty moves, the White-Bearded Elder asked Evan, "Did you remember it?"

"Yeah, I remember," Evan said, enduring the intense pain.

"Then you can start. Practice a few times, and the pain will gradually lessen," the White-Bearded Elder told Evan.

Evan nodded, then struggled to get up inside the light. When he stood, his legs trembled from convulsions, and his hands shook too, so his first attempt was full of mistakes. Still, Evan persevered through sheer willpower, even as the convulsions continued throughout the process.

From once to twice, twice to three times, three times to four times—meanwhile, Ye Chen and the White-Bearded Elder started chatting nearby.

"Senior, what did the Feng Family say?" Ye Chen asked anxiously.

"Well, the Feng Family agreed not to trouble your Ye Clan, but they'll keep hunting you until they catch you," replied the White-Bearded Elder.

"Why are they so stubborn? It's infuriating!" Ye Chen was first relieved that her clan would be spared, but grew angry when she heard they'd still pursue her.

"This is already their final compromise, so be content. If it really doesn't work out, just stay here with me. When you're strong enough, you can leave—by then, they won't be able to catch you," said the White-Bearded Elder.

"To be honest, Senior, my cultivation was suppressed to mid Out-of-Body Realm by some unknown method from the Feng Family. Now, even if I cultivate, I can't break through," Ye Chen said helplessly.

The White-Bearded Elder quickly checked Ye Chen's body and then exclaimed, "This is the long-lost Tyrant Seal Art!"

"What's the Tyrant Seal Art?" Ye Chen asked skeptically.

"It's a technique that suppresses cultivation to a fixed realm. The caster must be extremely powerful, and if anyone tries to break it forcefully, it could be life-threatening. Even I can't simply undo it," explained the White-Bearded Elder.

Ye Chen was shocked. "How do they have such a terrifying technique?"

"No idea. Looks like I'll have to ask some of the old guys about it," the White-Bearded Elder shook his head.

Seeing that even the White-Bearded Elder had no solution, Ye Chen could only sit there helplessly and wait for Evan.

Inside the Voidless Bead's light, Evan felt no gravity. Even so, he made many mistakes practicing the fitness set, but after a day, he could fully control the sequence, and his convulsions gradually faded.

Each time he performed the set, the sensation in his body lessened, which felt miraculous. When the convulsions finally disappeared, Evan stopped and looked at the elder and the young woman sitting nearby.

"Thank you, Senior," Evan said to the White-Bearded Elder after finishing.

The White-Bearded Elder sighed as he looked at Evan. "Genius. Others need at least ten days to master this, but you only took one."

"Oh? Is it really that hard?" Evan asked in surprise.

"Of course. Three hundred and sixty moves, each with a different speed, and all must flow together. Unless you're very skilled, it's hard to do," the White-Bearded Elder replied.

"That's true. But once you get used to it, it's fine," Evan said, recalling how hard it was to control the sequence at first, even though he knew the choreography. He often messed up or failed to change speed in time.

The White-Bearded Elder nodded in satisfaction and then laughed, "Don't be so reckless next time. You just arrived and started training like crazy—if I hadn't returned in time, you'd have crippled yourself."

"Senior, why don't you suffer from this, while I ended up like this just from training?" Evan asked curiously.

"I was just like you in the beginning. Later, I invented this fitness set, then slowly trained from areas with lighter gravity to those with the heaviest gravity. Naturally, nothing happened to me. But you didn't progress step by step—you jumped straight into intense gravity, so of course your body was overwhelmed," explained the White-Bearded Elder.

"So that's how it is. Then what about the cattle and sheep?" Evan asked, feeling frustrated that he wasn't even as strong as the livestock.

"They've slowly adapted over generations. Now, they're born with some immunity to this environment, and after further adaptation, they live here like it's nothing," the White-Bearded Elder replied, seeing Evan's expression and laughing.

Evan understood that his own over-aggressiveness caused the convulsions earlier, but he still humbly asked, "Senior, you said to train from lighter gravity to heavier—where can I find such places?"

"Right here on this planet. Different regions have different gravity levels," the White-Bearded Elder said, smiling at Evan's question.

Evan was overjoyed. "Can you tell me the divisions of this planet so I can train properly?"

"You're really planning to stay and train?" the White-Bearded Elder asked curiously.

"Yes." Evan had finally found such a good place to train—there was no way he'd leave halfway.

Seeing Evan's determination, the White-Bearded Elder told him the planet's divisions: there are seven zones—A, B, C, D, E, F, and S—each with a different gravity coefficient.

The Elder explained the gravity zones: Zone A is onefold, Zone B is tenfold, Zone C is fiftyfold, Zone D is one hundredfold, Zone E is two hundredfold, Zone F is five hundredfold, and Zone S is a thousandfold.

Evan thought for a moment. Back in the Temple of the Sea God, the gravity was at least tenfold, so he planned to start from Zone C. He then asked which zone they were currently in, and was told it was Zone D.

This gave Evan a clear goal: he would start from Zone C.

"You should start from Zone B. Follow the set I taught you, and only move to the next zone when you can perform it flawlessly in each one," the White-Bearded Elder rejected Evan's plan to start in Zone C and directed him to the tenfold gravity of Zone B.

Evan took the Elder's advice and decided to try it out, so he went to the tenfold gravity of Zone B as instructed.

Watching Evan leave, Ye Chen muttered, "This guy really goes all out."

"Of course. He's much tougher than you," the White-Bearded Elder laughed.

"Senior, are you mocking me?" Ye Chen asked, feeling a bit frustrated.

"Alright, I'll stop teasing you. I'll take you somewhere—maybe it'll help you, and if you're lucky, it might even break your suppression," the White-Bearded Elder said with a smile.

Hearing there was such a place, Ye Chen eagerly asked the White-Bearded Elder to take her there at once.

The White-Bearded Elder took Ye Chen to a mountain on the planet. At the foot of the mountain was a cave, and the two entered it.

Inside the cave was a pool, with white mist rising from its surface.

"Go in and soak while you cultivate. It might be good for you," said the White-Bearded Elder, pointing at the misty pool. Even his spiritual sense couldn't see if there was water below.

Ye Chen eagerly entered the water, her whole body enveloped in mist. She couldn't see outside at all, only hearing the White-Bearded Elder say, "You stay here and cultivate. I'm leaving."

"Okay, Senior, go ahead," Ye Chen replied happily. The surroundings grew quiet, leaving her alone. She lay in the water feeling comfortable, but her clothes clung uncomfortably, so seeing there was no one around, she undid them.

Soaking in the water, she sighed, "Ah, this feels so good." The water was slightly warm, making it feel like a bath. But as she cultivated, it felt even smoother than usual.

Evan had no idea Ye Chen was bathing and cultivating. He was in Zone B, practicing the fitness set. Frustratingly, his first attempt in the tenfold gravity zone was full of mistakes—some speeds were nearly impossible to raise or lower here.

This forced Evan to start a frantic round of practice in Zone B's tenfold gravity, losing track of time as he drilled the fitness set over and over.
