The two stepped out of the villa, the night air sharp and nippy, a playful wind whipping around them as they strolled side by side.
"I heard you had a serious illness recently? Are you feeling better now?" Eric Jiang asked casually.
The Molly Yun described in the files and the one standing before him were complete opposites.
According to the files, Molly Yun had been a handful since she was little. Forget elegance—she was pure chaos, the poster child for rebellion!
As a kid, she was always causing headaches—skipping classes, dating early, forced by her family into a strict military school, and she even got into a fight with an instructor.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Seriously, how did someone like her suddenly transform into a multilingual genius, with encyclopedic knowledge and work skills that rival a robot?
Apparently, the change started after that serious illness she had not long ago.
Molly Yun suddenly came down with a high fever—41 degrees. She almost lost her life.
If the main branch of the Yun Family hadn’t sent a doctor, she probably would’ve met her maker.
But after Molly Yun woke up, her personality completely changed, like she’d become a whole new person.
No, not 'like'—Nora Yun really was a totally different person!
Her arrogance and rebelliousness vanished in an instant.
She became so gentle and sensible that her parents almost thought they were seeing a ghost.
After Molly Yun repeatedly recounted her childhood experiences, her parents finally believed their daughter had come to her senses and decided to turn things around.
In the days that followed, Molly Yun dyed her messy hair back to a normal color, ditched the flashy contact lenses, clipped her nails, tossed out all the weird accessories, and transformed into an elegant, intellectual lady.
Her parents were so happy about the change, they nearly cried tears of joy.
So, no matter what Molly Yun asked for, her parents agreed to everything.
And that’s how we got the Molly Yun standing here now.
In the past, maybe information wasn’t as accessible, so news about Nora Yun could be delayed.
But nowadays, with information overload, that kind of thing just doesn’t happen.
Nothing can escape the intelligence network.
There it was—the big question!
Molly Yun’s expression suddenly turned grim. After a long pause, she finally replied, "Sorry, I can’t answer that."
"Why not?" Eric Jiang pressed.
"It’s not time yet." Molly Yun lowered her eyes, avoiding Eric Jiang’s gaze. "You can keep watching me, but please don’t test me. I need to help Cecilia, and I don’t want to be distracted by other people’s tests. It’s too tiring."

She’s not a big deal—Fortune Manor already produced five blessings, so whether she’s proactive or passive makes no difference.
If it’s the second possibility and she’s not Molly Yun, then who is she?
How did she manage to impersonate Molly Yun?
Okay, let’s say she could get plastic surgery and look just like Molly Yun.
But what about her genes?
For the Jiang, Yin, and Yun families, checking her genetic sequence would be a piece of cake!
Not to mention, the Yun Family Research Center could pull up her DNA in no time!
Since the Yun Family already investigated her and found nothing unusual, that proves she really is Molly Yun!
So, is there any other explanation for all this?
Two souls in one body?
A soul borrowing a corpse?
No matter which theory it is, isn’t it all pretty creepy?
Looks like this secret will have to be explained by her personally!
Hearing Eric Jiang’s question, Molly Yun seemed prepared and nodded, admitting, "Yeah, I almost died. The fever was too high. Luckily, I pulled through. Thanks for asking."
Eric Jiang nodded, "Yeah, surviving a disaster brings blessings."
"By the way, you’re so knowledgeable…" Eric Jiang started, but Molly Yun interrupted with a bitter smile, "Sorry to cut you off. If you have something to ask, just ask directly. I really am Molly Yun, absolutely. I can swear an oath, or prove it with my DNA."
Eric Jiang stopped walking and turned to look at Molly Yun.
"I know what you’re worried about. You think I’m getting close to Cecilia Gu for some ulterior motive, right? It’s not just you—lots of people are worried. After all, so many people want to hurt Cecilia Gu, I get it. But your endless rounds of testing are exhausting for me too," Molly Yun said bluntly. "So just ask me directly."
After Molly Yun said that, Eric Jiang actually felt a little embarrassed.
"Sorry, I didn’t mean to," Eric Jiang apologized with a smile. "It’s just, you really are so different from before."
"I know. But I can’t explain right now," Molly Yun replied directly. "I know all of you have checked my background—Yun Family, Yin Family, Jiang Family. I know you’re all worried about my intentions. If I say my only goal is to see Cecilia Gu safely deliver her child, and to let her live happily, would you believe me? No, right? No matter what I say, you won’t believe it."
"But so what? I don’t care about other people’s doubts and suspicions. As long as Cecilia Gu trusts me, that’s enough," Molly Yun said firmly. "I just stick to my own beliefs—I don’t care about criticism from others!"
"That’s not what I meant," Eric Jiang couldn’t help but argue.
"Whether you mean it or not, I need to be clear with you. You can keep an eye on me, but please stop testing me. It’s really exhausting," Molly Yun said.
"Alright. I apologize," Eric Jiang said, not one to be unreasonable. After apologizing, he added, "I just want to ask one thing—what’s your relationship with Yun Nuo?"

"Alright, I promise I won’t test you anymore, but I’ll still keep watching you," Eric Jiang replied.
"Can I ask you something—why do you care so much about Cecilia Gu?" Molly Yun countered.
"Because she’s… she’s Yun Nuo’s little sister! She may not be here anymore, but I have to look out for her. When Nuo Nuo was alive, the person she worried about most was probably Cecilia," Eric Jiang answered, his voice tinged with sadness.
Molly Yun’s eyes instantly softened, shimmering with tears.
Molly Yun asked in a low voice, "Did you ever blame Nora Yun? After all, she selfishly chose her family over being with you. She didn’t even think about you, just decided your future for you."
"No," Eric Jiang said with a bitter smile, his eyes fixed on Molly Yun. "She had her own troubles, didn’t she? She was a good daughter, a good sister."
"But not a good wife," Molly Yun replied with a bitter smile.
"She would’ve been," Eric Jiang’s voice grew even softer as he looked at Molly Yun. "She was just too responsible, so for the sake of her family and loved ones, she chose to sacrifice herself. If someone like her isn’t worth loving, then who is?"
Molly Yun quickly looked up at Eric Jiang, her eyes trembling violently. She opened her mouth to speak, but in the end, just bit her lip and said nothing.
"If she’s watching from above and knows I didn’t protect the person she cared about most, she’d blame me, wouldn’t she?" Eric Jiang said seriously, looking at Molly Yun.
Molly Yun’s eyes instantly reddened as she quickly turned away.
"I just hope that when I reach the underworld one day, I can honestly tell Nora Yun that I didn’t let her down. Even though she gave up on me and chose Mo Zixin. Even though she gave up her happiness for the Yun Family. I’ve never blamed her. I still love her," Eric Jiang said softly, looking at Molly Yun’s back.
Molly Yun’s back stiffened, and after a moment, she said, "Thank you."
"Come on, let’s keep walking," Eric Jiang said, dropping all his tests.
Someday, he’d get Molly Yun to open up and explain everything herself!
The two of them continued walking side by side.
Neither of them said another word.
The streetlights cast a soft yellow glow over them, smoothing out the sharp edges from earlier.
Sometimes, just speaking frankly makes things better.
At least, they could appreciate each other’s honesty.
They walked a lap around the neighborhood, only heading back when their legs started to ache.
Back at the villa, Eric Jiang saw Molly Yun’s slightly gloomy face and said, "I apologize again for my offense today. I hope it won’t affect your rest tonight."
"It’s fine," Molly Yun replied with a gentle smile. "I’ll rest well. I’ve got work to do tomorrow."
"Alright then, get some sleep. Good night," Eric Jiang said with a light laugh as he opened his door.
"Good night," Molly Yun nodded, only opening her own door after watching Eric Jiang go into his room.
She tossed her clothes onto the carpet, plopped down on the floor, and let out a weary sigh.
He said his love hasn’t changed?
What did he really mean by that?
It’s just so exhausting!
Molly Yun sighed, shook her head, and tried to push those thoughts away.
She really did have a lot to do tomorrow.
Not only did she need to help Rona Muir with the exhibition, but she also had to start preparing for Cecilia Gu’s delivery.
The first birth was so dangerous.
For Cecilia’s health, she’s trying for a natural birth this time.
If the natural birth doesn’t go smoothly, then they’ll consider a C-section.
Cecilia is young, and the three or four years between her pregnancies are just right for a natural birth.
But even then, there are still risks.
So Molly wants to make sure she’s completely prepared when Cecilia goes into labor.
Even though the Yin Family Hospital and the Yun Family Research Center can guarantee both Cecilia and her baby’s safety, Molly still feels she needs to be there herself to be truly at ease.
