Zhu Clan’s Yvonne Zhu

"The Southriver Sword Sect—I've heard their sect master is ridiculously strong, and some of the legendary swords in the sect are just insane. If Harvey He actually manages to join the Southriver Sword Sect, when he comes back, he might add another powerhouse to the He family."

When Harvey He is mentioned, you can see these rich second-generation types are clearly a bit helpless.

Harvey He has always flaunted his He family background all over Oceanport, and since he’s got some real skills too, he can easily take on ten or twenty people at once. That’s why he’s the kind of guy people both love and fear.

"I heard this time he went to the Southriver Sword Sect not just to try and get one of their swords, but mainly because Selina Zhu from the Zhu clan went too."

Leo Li seemed to remember something and spoke up at this point.

"Selina Zhu was born with incredible strength—she’s not someone you want to mess with. But Harvey He hasn’t come back, and it seems like Selina Zhu hasn’t returned either."

"Yeah, it’s been days since anyone’s heard from her. Anyway, it’s best for us to steer clear of the Zhu clan."

Whenever these rich kids mention the Zhu clan, you can hear the caution in their voices.

"Whatever. Let’s just take care of what’s in front of us first."

Leo Li shook his head and glanced at Evan Lin, his eyes flickering.

While Leo Li and the others were scheming, another train—from Capitalview to Oceanport—started up at the same time.

On board, Yvonne Zhu sat with a slight frown, worry written all over her face.

She rested her forehead on one hand, glanced at Bryce Gu sitting beside her, and said, "Uncle Gu, those Southriver Sword Sect people are so unreasonable. Is there really nothing we can do?"

"Selina was just going to take their entrance test, and now look—she joined the Southriver Sword Sect and they won't even let her out! This is outrageous!"

Yvonne Zhu’s face showed clear displeasure.

A while ago, the Zhu clan had sent Selina Zhu to take part in the Southriver Sword Sect selection, but nobody expected she’d just vanish after going.

This time, Yvonne Zhu and Bryce Gu went to Capitalview together, hoping to bring Selina Zhu back, but when they finally made it to the Southriver Sword Sect, it was all for nothing.

They spent seven days at Heavenly Sword Mountain under the Southriver Sword Sect, and all that time, the sect only sent someone out to say Selina was still safe and then basically told them to leave. No other answers at all, which left Yvonne Zhu fuming.

"The Southriver Sword Sect is just so arrogant!"

The Zhu clan had even considered matching Yvonne Zhu with Drake Yu, but now Yvonne’s opinion of him had dropped like a rock.

"Maybe you can't really blame them for this," Bryce Gu said thoughtfully from the side. "I heard not long ago that the Southriver Sword Sect actually sent a formal challenge to Master Lin from Seacrest."

"Master Lin from Seacrest?" Yvonne Zhu was taken aback. At the same moment she heard that name, she thought of Lin Yi's calm face.

The first time she met Lin Yi was on the way to the Beast Arena—she thought he was just an ordinary guy, but then he actually took down the Ghost Adept.

Later, inside the arena, she saw that youth leap up from the ground, stomp a corpse with one foot, and crush the pseudo-Vajra Lu Shouhai—so arrogant and wild.

The most recent time was at the Moore family manor, where she saw that youth snap two Misty Rain Swords with two fingers in two days, then in the Moore family, summon thunder from a clear sky, snatch victory from the jaws of the Southriver Sword Sect, and pick up the Dustleave Ancient Sword that no one had ever managed to lift—then defeat the Southriver Sword Sect's once-in-a-century prodigy, Drake Yu, with a single move.

All those scenes flashed vividly through Yvonne Zhu’s mind.

"That's right, it's the same Master Lin from Seacrest we met before," Bryce Gu nodded. "Ever since the Southriver Sword Sect sent that challenge, the sect has been keeping a low profile. I asked around among some freelance hunters near Heavenly Sword Mountain, and they all said that one day, the whole world seemed to turn into swords, and the air itself felt as sharp as blades."

"I think Master Lin from Seacrest has already climbed the mountain."

At this, Bryce Gu was full of emotion—and a bit of regret, too. He regretted not doing everything he could to befriend Lin Yi back at the Beast Arena.

"So what happened in the end?" Yvonne Zhu asked nervously.

"The result? I’m not sure what happened, but a while back there were rumors that Master Lin from Seacrest defeated Master Morgan. If that’s true, then Master Lin must have won outright in his fight at the Southriver Sword Sect." Bryce Gu paused for a moment. "But the rumors say the Master Lin who beat Master Morgan had fiery red hair and looked very different from the Master Lin we met before, so I’m not sure if they’re the same person."

Bryce Gu sighed. "Whether he’s Master Lin from Seacrest or not, he’s about the same age, and if he could beat Master Morgan, he’s got to be some kind of freakish genius."

If we ever get the chance to meet any of them, the Zhu clan should do everything possible to befriend them! No matter which Master Lin it is!

Bryce Gu’s tone was resolute by the end.

Yvonne Zhu nodded, feeling all kinds of emotions inside.

The train headed for Oceanport.

Lin Yi sat with his eyes closed, resting. Across the aisle, Faye Zheng and her group kept glancing his way, afraid he might slip away at any moment.

The closer they got to Oceanport, the more excited Leo Li and his crew became—almost as if they could see the light of victory ahead.

The train gradually pulled into the station, arriving in Oceanport.

The station announcement sounded inside the carriage.

"Hey, when we get off the train, you better stick close," one of the rich kids swaggered over, stopping a few steps away from Evan Lin and grinning. "Oceanport is way bigger than your little backwater, Whitewood County. If you wander off and get lost, it'll really be a headache for us!"

"Yeah, plus once you're in Oceanport, this is our turf. As long as you behave and do what you're told, I guarantee nothing will happen to you. But if you act up like before, don't blame us for getting rough."

Leo Li nodded.

Their voices weren’t quiet, so most of the passengers nearby glanced over at Evan Lin.

"Just stick close after we get off. If you get lost, that's your problem—but if you drag me down, that’s what I can’t stand!" Faye Zheng snorted.

"As long as you don’t make trouble for me, I’ll make sure you’re safe too," Evan Lin replied coolly. "But if you’re looking to start something, you’d better bring someone who’s actually tough."

"If you only send over some small fry, the fight’s just going to be boring."

A few simple words from Evan made Leo Li so angry he actually laughed. "Alright then!"

"I want to see just how ‘boring’ it’s gonna get!"

As they spoke, the train gradually pulled into Oceanport Station.

Oceanport Station. They’d arrived.
