Trash

As soon as the train stopped, Faye Zheng walked right up to Evan Lin's side and glanced at him sideways. "Let's go. There are a lot of people—don't get lost!"

Evan Lin stood up, and Leo Li's crew eyed him like hungry wolves, watching his every move.

They kept their distance from Evan, not daring to get too close, but also unwilling to stray too far, afraid he might slip away once they left the station.

The group got off the train and walked out of the station exit, where a plaza awaited outside.

On the plaza, more than ten luxury cars were already parked in a row—everything from Mercedes to BMW, you name it.

The cars lined up across the plaza, and on each hood, young men lounged or posed.

Most of them looked to be around twenty, dressed in black down jackets, standing in neat formation. At a glance, their presence was overwhelming, and everyone passing by couldn't help but stare.

"Eric, what's up with Leo Li and his crew? Weren't they supposed to be escorting Faye Zheng on vacation?" asked a blond-haired guy, looking curiously at the tall, skinny guy sitting on the front car.

"How should I know? Apparently they ran into someone they couldn't handle and got humiliated on someone else's turf, so now they want us to bail them out," Eric Yang shook his head. "Besides, they're out of town. Running into trouble is normal."

"The more out in the sticks you are, the less you can reason with those country bumpkins. Leo Li may be tough, but if someone really goes all out against him, he's done for."

As Eric Yang spoke, he and his friends kept glancing toward the station exit, watching the stream of people pour out, curiosity flickering in his eyes.

"But what I can't figure out is how Leo Li managed to bring that clueless kid all the way to Oceanport. Is that guy really not afraid of dying?"

Eric Yang frowned slightly as he finished speaking.

"Who knows? Maybe he thinks he's tough as nails, and that the whole world is just like his tiny hometown—he can swagger around anywhere he likes."

Someone else snorted at that, clearly unimpressed.

There were eleven cars and over twenty people gathered, each with some kind of background. Maybe they couldn't run wild in Oceanport, but as long as they didn't go overboard, usually nobody would bother them.

Earlier, Leo Li and his crew had called ahead, asking everyone to wait here to rough up some kid from the countryside. A lot of them thought it was overkill, but out of respect for Leo Li and Faye Zheng, they showed up and waited anyway.

Soon, Eric Yang's gaze swept over to the station exit and spotted a few familiar faces. He immediately hopped off the car hood. "They're here."

At his words, everyone else turned to look that way.

When they saw Leo Li and Faye Zheng's group surrounding a skinny teenage boy, their eyes lingered, sizing him up.

"Come on, since you're here to have fun in Oceanport, let me introduce you to a few friends as your host!"

"We'll have plenty of chances to hang out together from now on!"

Leo Li strutted out of the station, spotting the lineup of luxury cars, and grinned.

"Yeah, we'll get to play soon. Who knows, you might even have a blast!" A few of the spoiled rich kids, already itching for trouble, laughed loudly.

The way they looked at Evan Lin was like he was a lamb waiting for slaughter.

"Back in the sticks, you swung around a bench leg like a boss, but now you don't even have that. Let's see you act tough now!"

Evan Lin's expression stayed calm as he looked at the row of luxury cars, not the least bit impressed.

"Eric!"

Leo Li spotted Eric Yang and his crew and called out first.

"Leo Li, Faye Zheng, you're back." Eric Yang stepped forward with his people, smiling, then looked Evan Lin up and down. "Who's this kid? He doesn't look legit."

As soon as he finished, Leo Li and Faye Zheng's group, who had been crowding around Evan Lin, all casually stepped back a few paces.

After all, a fight was bound to happen. In Eric Yang's eyes, Evan Lin wasn't worth any polite small talk. He walked straight up and reached out, trying to pinch Evan's face.

"Heard you were a country bumpkin who bullied our Eric and Faye Zheng back in your hometown, huh?"

Eric Yang's face darkened, full of contempt. "Now that you're in Oceanport, on our turf, why don't you try acting cocky again?"

Eric Yang's crew formed a tight circle around Evan Lin and Eric, blocking the view from outside.

As they spoke, the crowd wore mocking grins. Faye Zheng gazed up at the sky in silence, while Leo Li grinned, feeling smug inside.

Just as Eric Yang's hand was about to reach Evan Lin's face, Evan, who hadn't moved at all, suddenly lifted a foot and kicked him in the stomach.

With a single kick, Eric Yang shot backward, crashing into the guy standing behind him and sending them both sprawling to the ground.

"Damn!"

Eric Yang grimaced in pain, feeling like his insides had been torn apart, sweat pouring down his face.

That kick left him speechless, unable to utter a single word.

"You actually dare to fight back!"

Leo Li's eyes widened in shock.

"You hit Eric Yang? You must have a death wish!"

The rest of the twenty-plus guys cursed and rushed forward, trying to swarm Evan Lin and beat him down with sheer numbers.

"I told you to bring someone with real skills, and you show up with this bunch of losers?"

Evan Lin glanced at Leo Li. As soon as he finished speaking, he reached out and grabbed Leo by the neck before Leo could react, lifting him off the ground with one hand.

"What are you doing?!"

Faye Zheng hadn't expected things to turn out like this, and her face changed instantly.

By now, the crowd was almost on top of Evan Lin. He grabbed Leo Li by the neck and swung him like a club.

Leo Li's legs and body smashed into the people around him. His face turned purple, hair standing on end with fear, his head spinning in midair, and his stomach churning.

Faye Zheng watched as the whole crowd of twenty-something guys went down before they even got close, sprawled all over the ground.

It took barely thirty seconds.

A moment ago, those spoiled rich kids had been strutting around. Now they were all lying on the ground, groaning.

Leo Li, who'd been used as a club by Evan Lin, was left trembling all over, unable to even stand.

"I told you, fighting a bunch of small fry is boring."

Evan Lin looked at Leo Li, patting his pale face, his tone indifferent: "Are you deaf, or just stupid?"

"How about I give you a choice?"

Evan Lin stared coolly at Leo Li, making Leo's face go pale and his lips tremble with fear.
