Chance Encounter with an Unnamed Expert
Evan Yang had already activated the ultimate move of the Demon-Ward Eight Arts. As soon as the demonic qi attacks struck him, they instantly rebounded. The Left Protector was shocked, "What is this? Demon-Ward Eight Arts!"
"Surprised you recognize it?" Evan Yang said with a smile.
"Impossible! The Demon-Ward Eight Arts is Demon Lord Damien Hollow's signature move. How could you have it?" The Left Protector couldn't believe it. Most experts in Magus Heaven Realm knew only Demon Lord Damien Hollow could use it, but he'd disappeared for years—and the man before him couldn't possibly be Damien Hollow.
"You even know that?" Evan Yang smiled.
"Of course. Who in Magus Heaven Realm doesn't know? So, what's your relationship with Demon Lord Damien Hollow?" the Left Protector asked.
"If I tell you we're connected, will you let me go?" Evan Yang smiled again.
The Left Protector said, "Demon Lord Damien Hollow has been gone for years. Everyone knows his tomb is in Magus Heaven Realm—I visited it myself. Only his skeleton remains. How could you know him?"
"That's none of your business. It's just karmic fate between us," Evan Yang said with a smile.
"Damn it. If you won't talk, I'll destroy you right now," said the Left Protector.
"Your Bloodmoon Formation is useless against me now. Do you have any other tricks?" Evan Yang smiled, then broke the blood-red formation in one move.
Seeing Evan Yang break free and leave, the Left Protector was shocked. "Damn it." He kept chasing, but Evan Yang laughed, "Why are you chasing me? You can't catch me anyway."
Unable to subdue Evan Yang, the Left Protector could only rely on the Bloodmoon Sword to track his whereabouts.
Eventually, the Left Protector gave up pursuit. He knew he couldn't capture Evan Yang alone, so he left.
After confirming no one was around, Evan Yang muttered, "He just left? Looks like he can't catch me—he must be frustrated."
With no choice, Evan Yang left the area. Once he was far from Hellsummit Palace, he released Mira Ming and the others.
Sect Master Victor Ming looked at Evan Yang gratefully. "Thank you."
"No need to thank me. It's what I should do," Evan Yang replied with a smile. Liam Yang chimed in, "That's right, it's only right."
Mira Ming also spoke up, "Thank you, senior. At least we're safe now."
"Yeah. The Tian Clan destroyed the Demon Mask Sect. I’ve let it go—there’s no way to restore things to how they were. But Mira, what are your plans for the future?" Sect Master Victor Ming knew about Liam Yang and Mira Ming’s feelings and wanted to know the situation.
Mira Ming looked at Liam Yang and said, "Dad, I've made up my mind. I'll follow them."
Liam Yang hadn’t expected Mira Ming to say that—he froze for a moment. Evan Yang just laughed, "Of course I have no objections."
Sect Master Victor Ming smiled, "Then I'll entrust my daughter to you from now on."
"What about you, Dad?" Mira Ming asked. Sect Master Victor Ming smiled, "I still have things to take care of—so I’ll leave first."
"But you—" Mira Ming frowned, seeing her father’s injuries. Evan Yang said, "Let me take a look."
Evan Yang examined Sect Master Victor Ming’s body, and after checking, treated him.
After a short while, Sect Master Victor Ming’s condition improved. At least he could move freely—though he couldn’t use his full strength yet, and would have to wait.
Surprised at how quickly he recovered, Sect Master Victor Ming said, "Thank you."
"You're welcome," Evan Yang replied with a smile.
Mira Ming and the others looked at Evan Yang and Victor Ming in shock—they hadn’t expected Evan Yang’s medical skills to be so advanced.
"Alright, it’s settled. I’ll be on my way. Mira, I’m entrusting you to them." Sect Master Victor Ming said goodbye to Mira Ming. Though reluctant, he knew she’d be safer under Evan Yang’s protection than being hunted by the Tian Clan alongside him.
"Dad, what about us?" Liam Yang asked.
Evan Yang nodded, "It's fine—let's just leave. What do you two think?"
Liam Yang had been out for a long time and naturally wanted to return. Mira Ming had never left this place, but after thinking it over, she decided to leave with Evan Yang and the others.
Once everything was settled, Evan Yang took the two to the Demon Pool exit—only to find it sealed.
"It's sealed?" Evan Yang muttered.
"Looks like it's Hellsummit Palace's doing. Only they have the authority and power to seal this place," Mira Ming said.
After hearing Mira Ming, Evan Yang muttered, "Hmm, looks like I need to figure out another way to leave. You two, go into my treasure first."
Liam Yang and Mira Ming naturally had no objections. Evan Yang flashed toward the nearest city—only in a city could he find the best information.
Dragonhaven City was the closest city to the Demon Pool. It wasn't under anyone's control, but it was also the most chaotic. As soon as Evan Yang entered, he was swept by all kinds of spiritual probes.
"Who are these people anyway?" Evan Yang wondered suspiciously.
Now that he was in this new place, Evan Yang needed to find a crowded spot where he could gather information.
"Weird, why aren’t there any inns or anything here?" Evan Yang muttered. He noticed the whole street had only houses and street stalls—nothing else.
"Looks like I’ll have to try something different." Evan Yang thought for a moment, then picked a stall run by a little girl—maybe ten-something years old. Out of everyone, he chose her, partly out of curiosity and partly because he figured a little girl wouldn’t try to scam him.
"Hey, little girl, are you from around here?" Evan Yang asked.
"Of course. I’ve lived here my whole life. Why?" the little girl asked curiously.
"Nothing, I just wanted to ask if you know about the Demon Pool?" Evan Yang said. The little girl stared at him for a while, then replied, "I don’t know, but my grandpa does."
"Your grandpa? Can you take me to meet him?" Evan Yang asked.
The little girl glanced at her stall and frowned, "No, I have to sell some of this stuff first—otherwise I won’t have money to bring back."
Hearing this, Evan Yang thought for a moment and asked, "What do you use for money here?"
The little girl looked at Evan Yang suspiciously. "You don’t know?"
"Yeah, I really don’t know much," Evan Yang said awkwardly.

Seeing Evan Yang didn’t understand, the little girl took out some small, colorful stones and said, "This is it—multicolored shards."
"Multicolored shards?" Evan Yang looked at them, muttering to himself.
"Yeah," the little girl replied.
"I don’t have those, but I have other things—maybe I can give you something, as long as you take me to your grandpa," Evan Yang said.
The little girl looked at Evan Yang, half skeptical. "Alright, but if it’s not good stuff, I won’t take it."
Evan Yang thought for a moment, then took out a few items from his treasure and gave them to the girl. Seeing the variety, she said, "Alright, come with me."
She packed up her stall and led Evan Yang away, holding the shiny immortal stones he gave her, grinning happily. They arrived at a small house on a nearby mountain.
The girl went inside, where an old man was cooking. When he saw her return, he asked, "Why are you back so early today?"
"Grandpa, look," the little girl said, showing him the immortal stones. The old man frowned, "Where did you get these?"
"I gave them to her," Evan Yang said, stepping inside.
"You?" The old man looked at Evan Yang suspiciously.
Evan Yang smiled, "Senior, you don’t need to hide. You already probed me before I came in."
"You’re pretty sharp. Go ahead, what do you want? But you'd better not mess with my granddaughter—she doesn’t know anything yet." The old man hid the girl behind him, worried Evan Yang might harm her.
Evan Yang smiled, "Don’t worry, she brought me here, but I have no intention of hurting her."
"Good. Go on," the old man said.
Evan Yang said, "I want to know—what’s the deal with the Demon Pool? How can we leave?"
"Demon Pool? You’re asking the right person. The Demon Pool was sealed by Hellsummit Palace—they seem to be searching for someone. If they don’t find that person, they won’t open it. Right now, you can’t get in or out—that’s pretty rare," the old man said with a laugh.
"I see. Then I won’t bother you any further," Evan Yang said, thinking aloud.
Just as Evan Yang turned to leave, the old man laughed, "Sit down and have a meal—it’s ready."
Evan Yang was curious—he’d never met this old man before, and now he was being invited to eat. "Senior, why?" he asked.
"What, afraid I’ll poison you?" the old man laughed. The little girl had already dragged Evan Yang to the table and said, "Grandpa’s cooking is really good."
Evan Yang had no choice but to sit. He looked at the variety of dishes and smiled, "That’s quite a spread." He took a bite, but immediately sensed something was off.
"Don’t spit it out—otherwise she’ll be upset," the old man said via a voice transmission.
Evan Yang froze, and as he ate, the old man explained, "Do you know how old my granddaughter is?"
"She should be about ten-something years old," Evan Yang said.
"Ten-something? She’s actually tens of thousands of years old, young man," the old man laughed.
Evan Yang was stunned at this revelation while eating.
"She was born with a strange illness that’s never been cured. I’ve heard that outside the Demon Realm, in the Chaos Realm, there are all sorts of wonders. So I want to ask you for help—if you’re willing, I’ll tell you how to leave the Demon Realm," the old man said.
Evan Yang glanced at the innocent, adorable girl—he hadn’t expected that helping her would lead to such a story, and to someone so powerful.
"I understand. Alright, no problem," Evan Yang replied.
"To leave the Demon Realm, aside from the Demon Pool, there’s another place—the Sky Rift. It’s not controlled by anyone, but it’s dangerous. I believe you can make it through—once you do, you’ll be able to leave this world," the old man said to Evan Yang.
