Not Really

"Your Majesty, could you please move aside?" Blood-Eye looked at Damian Black.

"Didn't you hear what Baxa said?" Damian Black asked coolly. "She's a guest here, and she's human. She's not suitable for you."

"Your Majesty, I get what you mean! Human girls usually can't have casual flings—they all prefer formal marriage contracts." Blood-Eye looked at him seriously. "I'm serious about Lily Bai. If she's willing, I'll sign a marriage contract with her, and I won't have any other partners ever again."

Damian Black: "I'll say it one more time—get out!"

Blood-Eye stared into Damian Black's eyes, his own blood-red: "Why?"

Damian Black didn't answer.

"If you're fighting me for Lily Bai as a rival male, then I'll admit defeat—because I can't beat you. But, Your Majesty, do you want Lily Bai too? Do you like her?"

Lily Bai stared at Damian Black without blinking.

Damian Black paused for a moment, then replied, "Not really. I won't let you ruin the tacit understanding we have with the Sigil Sect."

"How does that make sense? If I marry Lily Bai, wouldn't that strengthen our relationship?"

Damian Black: If she's willing, I'd be happy to see it happen. But she's not willing.

Not willing, so we have to fight! Women are always like this at first—resist, coax, and then after a real battle, they'll cling to you and never let go! Seriously! Your Majesty, you're a virgin, you don't get it!

Damian Black reached out and slapped Blood-Eye straight out past the Demon Emperor's Palace boundary.

Flying General.

Your Majesty," replied the Marching Wing Guard.

Don't let him in again.

Oh... The Flying General gestured for the Marching Wing Guards to block Blood-Eye.

Damian Black's figure radiated coldness as he turned and left.

Lily Bai watched his retreating back without a word.

He said, Not really.

An ancient ferocious beast—Riftsky," Azure Flame said.

Riftsky... I’ve heard of it before. A century ago, it caused chaos everywhere and was killed by two High Gods. So it wasn’t really dead?

Ancient exotic beasts are hard to cultivate," Azure Flame said. "The Divine Race usually just suppresses them, not kills them."

Oh..." Lily Bai nodded. "Do you know which High God suppressed it here?

Azure Flame's face was expressionless: "I don’t know."

Baxa "Brother," do you know?" Lily Bai asked Baxa.

Baxa: "Don’t know."

Just then, a muffled roar echoed from underground.

The ground shook and rocks tumbled.

Even scarier, the great dam actually split open.

It’s easy to imagine—if the dam bursts, Wildlands City will be swept away by the flood.

Go!" Damian Black and Azure Flame led Lily Bai and Nine Li into the underground array.

There was a Spirit Barrier underground.

Dust filled the barrier, and a huge black shadow could be seen moving fast, slamming into it from all sides.

Each impact made the barrier shudder; it was clearly at its limit, on the verge of collapse.

Baxa 'Brother,' do you know?" Lily Bai asked Baxa.

Baxa: "Don’t know."

Just then, a muffled roar echoed from underground.

The ground shook and rocks tumbled.

Even scarier, the great dam actually split open.
