Reasons for Hating Her

1/4/2026

This kind of thing happened all the time—whether it was her business or not, she loved showing off her sense of presence.

She was always saying things like, "Don’t think you can get away with anything just because Goddess Vivian is kind. If you mess with me, you’ll see what happens!"

Newly arrived Divine Attendants actually thought she was the real mistress of Peach Blossom Haven.

And then there were all those wild rumors—like the one about the Lu sisters sharing a husband...

But just for that, Lucy wouldn’t go so far as to hate her.

The real reason Lucy disliked Tanya was something else entirely.

One time, Tanya suddenly showed up at the Spirit Alliance.

That night, Lucy saw her dressed even more provocatively than usual, carrying a bowl of Fairy Fruit porridge, sneaking into Divine Father Quentin’s room.

Lucy secretly crept closer to watch, and Tanya’s whole act—flirting, soft voice, brushing his hand while handing over the porridge, even offering to massage his shoulders—was shameless.

She was obviously trying to seduce Divine Father!

But Divine Father Quentin was so absorbed in his ancient text that he didn’t even look up once, and Tanya left, sulking.

Ever since then, Lucy couldn’t stand her and kept her guard up whenever Tanya was around.

...

After scolding the Divine Attendant, Tanya turned to Vivian and said, "Sister, you’re way too soft on these servants! If someone messes up, you should just kick them out. Otherwise, Peach Blossom Haven will be a total mess before long!"

Goddess Vivian replied, "Mistakes happen, but there’s a difference between doing it on purpose and by accident. If she didn’t mean it, there’s no need to be so harsh."

"You never really know what’s in someone’s heart. Sometimes these little hussies are downright sneaky!" Tanya retorted.

"Aunt Tanya’s got a point," Lucy chimed in. "We shouldn’t have ill intentions, but we do need to stay alert. Mother Goddess always thinks if she’s sincere, people will be sincere back. But some people don’t know how to be grateful—they’re just greedy!"

Vivian laughed and shook her head. "So you two are teaming up to lecture me today? Maybe I should just stop managing things and let you handle it all!"

Tanya was about to speak, but Lucy jumped in: "Mother Goddess, I know you hate dealing with all this boring stuff, so why not just hurry up and get me a sister-in-law? She’d be the perfect one to take over!

Don’t give it to me—I don’t want to run things either!

Aunt Tanya loves to meddle, but you can’t seriously expect her to do all the work, right?

People who know us understand—it’s just sisters being close, no boundaries.

But outsiders might think we’re bullying her, treating Aunt Tanya like some glorified head housekeeper!

Ethan Lu was always the serious type.

But right now, he actually smiled.

Tanya’s face turned green, then white. She took a deep breath and said, "Lucy, I heard you have a whole crowd of admirers at Drake Abyss? People are always dropping by, bringing you gifts and love letters! Is it true?"

"Is that for real?" Goddess Vivian asked.

Lucy didn’t say a word.

"That’s not good at all," Tanya raised her eyebrows. "First, it distracts you from your studies. Second, the Palace Guard Barracks is no place for romance! People will gossip about our Lu family, calling you a shameless flirt—how embarrassing would that be!"

"It can’t be that bad," Quentin protested.

"Why not?" Tanya shot back. "You think I’m making this up? I heard it all the way from the Southern Realm!"

"Southern Realm?" Ryan Lu slammed the table. "It’s gotta be Jenna Summers, that wretched woman! Just wait till I get back—I’ll tear her mouth apart!"
