Alex Teaches a Lesson

1/4/2026

Aileen Huang's secret was exposed in an instant. She immediately replied, flustered, "What nonsense are you talking about?"

"What? You won't admit it? Fine, if you won't admit it, I'll introduce someone else to Aaron Meng," Wendy Parker said. "I remember there's a girl in our class who got into a teachers' college and is planning to come back to be a teacher. Should I set her up with him?"

Aileen Huang knew exactly which girl Wendy was talking about—she had also chased after Aaron Meng before. Hearing Wendy say she'd match them up, Aileen panicked and blurted out, "Wendy Parker, don't you dare!"

"Hehehe, what wouldn't I dare?" Wendy said sarcastically. "You guys probably have no idea what I do for work, do you? Well, it's your unlucky day. The company I work for just happens to control your lifeline!"

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

The hotel manager entered politely, accompanied by a portly middle-aged man. When the man saw Wendy and Alex, his delight was obvious. He immediately bowed ninety degrees. "Chief Special Assistant Alex, Chief Special Assistant Wendy, when did you two arrive?"

The rest of the people in the room were so shocked they couldn't even sit still.

That middle-aged man was none other than Mr. Gong, the richest man in the county, head of the local real estate company and owner of the best hotel in town—not to mention the big boss of several people present.

Usually, everyone had to be respectful and nervous around him, barely able to speak. But now, he was bowing ninety degrees to Wendy Parker and the man she brought with her!

What on earth was happening?

Wasn't Wendy Parker just an assistant?

How could she have so much influence that even the richest boss in town treated her with such respect and courtesy?

And the man Wendy brought—who was he? Why did the big boss act like a mouse seeing a cat, practically worshipping him?

"So it's Mr. Gong. Long time no see!" Alex smiled and nodded, not even bothering to stand up and greet him.

"Yes, yes, last time you came, I didn't let you and President Yin have enough fun. That was my fault. This time, please don't refuse—I've prepared a villa for President Yin. Please, you must accept it." Mr. Gong nodded and bowed, clearly very practiced at this.

Obviously, he did this kind of thing all the time.

Aaron Meng and Aileen Huang were completely stunned, at a loss for words.

"As for the villa, talk to B. He's handling things for the CEO now. As for me—" Alex said with a half-smile, "I'm here as Chief Special Assistant to Mrs. Yin, accompanying Wendy Parker for her family visit, and just dropping by to meet her high school classmates."

The room fell silent.

Mr. Gong scanned the room. With his years of experience, he could already tell that this reunion wasn't going to be a pleasant one.

No, "unpleasant" doesn't even begin to cover it.

Looks like these people were all trying to embarrass Chief Special Assistant Alex and Chief Special Assistant Wendy.

Hehehe, these pawns sure have guts!

They even dared to bully people close to Mr. Yin and Mrs. Yin!

Mr. Gong glanced over the people at the table, recognizing a few faces. He decided to investigate later, and if any of them worked for his company, they'd be fired immediately!

He absolutely couldn't let these troublemakers ruin his reputation with Mr. Yin!

At that moment, Aileen Huang still refused to give up. She couldn't help but say, "Wow, you're really good at acting! Hehehe, don't you guys think so?"

Unfortunately, this time no one dared to agree with Aileen Huang.

Aileen looked around and saw a few male classmates turning pale, barely able to stand. She asked, confused, "What's wrong with you guys? We all know who Wendy Parker is! Look at her—wearing knockoffs from head to toe. How could she possibly know any rich people—"

Mr. Gong chuckled lightly at her words. "May I ask where you work, Miss? I'm certainly not a rich man. Compared to Mr. Yin, I'm just a firefly next to the moon. So tell me, which powerful family are you from, that you dare question Chief Special Assistant Wendy?"

"I—" Aileen Huang couldn't say a word.

How could she possibly be from a powerful family?

The outfit she was wearing was the most expensive thing in her closet. It cost her a month's salary, and she was still heartbroken about it!

If it weren't for this reunion, she wouldn't have bought it at all!

"Looks like lunch is off the table today." Alex stood up and said, "Mr. Gong, is there anywhere good to eat nearby?"

"Yes, yes, of course! Please, Chief Special Assistant Wendy, please, let me treat you both to lunch. You must do me the honor—don't be shy, just tell me what you want and I'll make it happen." Mr. Gong stepped back with a big smile and personally opened the door for Wendy and Alex.

Outside the door, a row of bodyguards in custom Armani suits stood in two lines. When they saw Alex and Wendy, they straightened up and greeted, "Chief Special Assistant Alex, Chief Special Assistant Wendy!"

Wendy was startled. When did she get promoted to Chief Special Assistant?

Still, it felt amazing to have that kind of borrowed authority!

She never expected Alex to actually bring bodyguards!

This was real status!

Alex nodded. "Thanks for your hard work, everyone. Oh, by the way, Miss Huang here questioned whether Chief Special Assistant Wendy's clothes and bags were knockoffs. Could you explain it to her?"

One of the bodyguards immediately stepped forward, flipping open a folder full of receipts and certificates. "Every item Chief Special Assistant Wendy wears is provided by the company, free for personal use. It's a benefit for employees of the Yin Group."

After that, the bodyguard quickly rejoined the group. Led respectfully by Mr. Gong, they went downstairs and got into a Rolls-Royce Silver Angel, leaving the scene surrounded by a crowd.

Everyone in the hotel room was stunned.

Nobody had any idea what to do next.

Aileen Huang still tried to salvage her pride, forcing herself to say, "Hehehe, such a good act! That car must be rented, right?"

A male classmate gave Aileen a look like she was crazy and said, "Do you even know how much a Rolls-Royce Silver Angel costs? No, it's not even about money—it's impossible to buy one even if you have the cash. Only the richest of the rich collect these cars, and they're never for rent. This is a true priceless collectible. Wait, what company did they say they worked for again?"

Everyone in the room looked at each other, not knowing what to say.

At that moment, the hotel manager sighed and clicked his tongue. "I don't even know what to say to you all! You had two VIPs right here and instead of currying favor, you drove them away! Tsk tsk tsk, do you even know who those two are?"

"Who are they?" everyone in the room asked in unison.

"Looks like you really have no idea!" The manager shook his head in amazement. "They're the chief assistants of the Yin Group. That A, Chief Special Assistant Alex, is the right-hand man of Charles Yin, the CEO. In other words, he's the most trusted person by Mr. Yin. Even top officials have to greet him with respect, never mind Mr. Gong. The lady is Chief Special Assistant to Mrs. Charles Yin, the future matron of the Yin Family, and the second daughter of the Grant Family, Miss Cecilia Grant. To put it simply, Charles runs the Yin Group, but the Yin Family itself is run by its lady. Tsk tsk, you guys are really blind!"

After the manager finished, everyone in the room gasped.

What!

Wendy Parker was actually the Chief Special Assistant to Mrs. Yin!

Chief Special Assistant!

Yin Group!

That's a position with an eight-figure salary!

And they actually made fun of her for "serving" people!
