Two Ethan Zhangs Versus the Wraithlord III

12/15/2025

"How exactly did you regain consciousness, Wraithlord?"

Past Ethan Justice smiled and asked, while the Wraithlord's face twisted with anger. Sylvia Blue was already clenching her fists, ready to fight. I felt uneasy—the Wraithlord, who had now completely taken over Seven's body, radiated a power I had never sensed before, something deeply evil.

It was a kind of evil that wanted to destroy everything. The primal instinct within my body began to react. At that moment, Past Ethan Justice stepped to my side.

"It's alright, Rachel Lan. You don't need to worry. That girl is far from weak."

Future Ethan Zhang had already returned to the massive rock, sitting cross-legged. He thrust the black greatsword, part human and part ghost, into the ground. As our platform shifted, it began to move slowly, but then suddenly separated. At that moment, a pale blue glow enveloped Sylvia Blue, and I watched nervously.

With a boom, Sylvia Blue struck first. She suddenly appeared in front of the Wraithlord and kicked at him, but the Wraithlord simply raised a hand and easily blocked her attack.

"Aren't you two planning to join in?"

The Wraithlord stared at us with a cold, furious gaze.

"Don't underestimate that girl."

Past Ethan Justice said, but the Wraithlord didn't even glance at Sylvia Blue. Instead, he walked straight toward us, unmoving, as if both Ethans were pondering how the Wraithlord had regained his senses. I was wondering the same, since the Wraithlord's Three Souls and Seven Spirits weren't here—only his body was present.

With a crash, Sylvia Blue was knocked back toward us, stabilizing herself midair and sliding a long distance before stopping. The Wraithlord's hand, which had blocked her attack, was now emitting wisps of black smoke.

"Stop underestimating me."

Sylvia Blue roared in anger, raising her azure revolver and firing two shots at the Wraithlord. I saw a silver and a blue bullet streak toward him, but with two sharp cracks, he easily deflected both with his hand. Instantly, massive explosions erupted on either side of the Wraithlord.

Twin bursts of blue and silver light instantly devoured everything to the Wraithlord's left and right. When the light faded, Sylvia Blue stared at him in disbelief.

"I told you, you'd better attack together—if you really think you have what it takes. It's been ages since I stretched my limbs."

The Wraithlord swung his arm, producing a creaking sound. Furious, Sylvia Blue raised her sword and teleported in front of him, unleashing a flurry of strikes. Yet the Wraithlord blocked every blow with his hand, never once glancing at her, his contempt unmistakable.

With a bang, a fierce silver light shot forward, but the Wraithlord gripped Sylvia Blue's sword as it aimed for his head. The violent surge of air tore at the space around him, shredding the forces swirling nearby, yet the Wraithlord remained completely unharmed.

I gasped as the Wraithlord grabbed Sylvia Blue by the neck. She swung her sword several more times, but her attacks seemed soft and powerless before him—all blocked. With a crash, he slammed Sylvia Blue down.

Sylvia Blue cried out in shock, but suddenly her eyes glowed red. With a swift slash, she severed the Wraithlord's arm that was gripping her neck. She quickly broke free, crouched on the ground, panting, one hand pressed to her throat as she glared at him.

"That hurt, you old bastard."
