"What exactly is going on?"
I stared in confusion at the two remaining Blood Jades in my hand—a Violet Blood Jade and an Obsidian Blood Jade. Both flickered with a faint glow. Earlier, the Amber Blood Jade had been sealed at the bottom of Mother Goddess Nuwa's Illusory Realm, the Azure Blood Jade within the ice-fire chasm in the Blueflame Warden's Illusory Realm, and the Crimson Blood Jade at the center of the Hunter's Mirage, inside the furnace formed by the power of the Nine Suns.
At this moment, the Violet Blood Jade stung in my palm, its needle-like purple radiance pricking my skin, while the Obsidian Blood Jade in my right hand responded in kind. The two Blood Jades seemed to be connected by some unknown force, and the Wraith Fragments sealed within them were slowly leaking away.
"It seems these things are connected in a very specific way."
Hayden Orion spoke beside me as I sat down, quietly sensing the state of the two Blood Jades. Nearly a third of the Wraith Fragments inside had already vanished, and I had no idea where they had gone.
This had happened all of a sudden while I was sparring with Hayden Orion, who was teaching me techniques for harnessing power. Training could no longer continue. I grimaced at the Violet Blood Jade in my left hand, the light already burning my skin.
When I let go, the Violet Blood Jade floated in midair, its glow growing more intense. I decided to try suppressing both Blood Jades with my own power.
But I quickly realized my power had no effect on them—instead, both Blood Jades were absorbing my strength.
"Let me try."
Hayden Orion spoke, stepping forward and raising a hand toward the Violet Blood Jade. By then, its glow had become like flowing water—so intense that my eyes stung. The sudden change caught me completely off guard.
