Lord Shadowdrake

"No rush. I don't actually know where Jade is right now—just that she's ascended to the God Realm. But you still haven't told me what your relationship with her is." Evan Chu immediately cut him off.

"My relationship with her is none of your business. Don't think I'll be grateful just because you tossed me a few godstones. I simply don't want to rack up more slaughter, that's all. If you'd met the old me, you'd already be dead by my hand." The elder snapped, growing impatient.

"Old man, you're getting way too bold. Do you even know who I am? You dare talk to me like that?" Evan Chu retorted, clearly annoyed. Even if the elder regained his strength, Evan didn't care—his bloodline naturally suppressed the other.

If this elder could unleash his full power against others, he could only muster around eighty percent against Evan Chu—about the peak of mid-stage God-Venerable. Evan really didn't take that level of strength seriously.

But when the elder heard Evan Chu say this, his composure cracked. The Dragon Clan was always a noble race, honored among all divine beasts and the kings of their kind. Yet at this moment, Evan Chu was looking down on him, and a surge of killing intent welled up in the elder.

"Thinking of killing me right now, aren't you? Even Jade would have to respectfully call me 'Young Lord' if she saw me. She was a general at the Primordial Dragon's side back then, and so were you. Your status should be equal—so how dare you show me disrespect? Do you not understand rank at all?" Evan Chu shot back, furious.

The elder was deeply puzzled by Evan Chu's words. Very few in the God Realm knew about Jade, let alone that she was a general beside the Primordial Dragon. Without an extremely special connection, it would be impossible to know this. He couldn't help but study Evan Chu more closely, trying to figure out why.

After a few breaths, the elder asked, "Just who are you? Why does Jade call you Young Lord? What's your relationship with her?"

"That's not really your place to ask. Answer my question first, and then I'll tell you why. I promise you'll be shocked," Evan Chu said, withdrawing his aura and giving a faint smile.

The elder was at a loss. Anyone who could make Jade call them Young Lord was basically unheard of, but this kid said it so convincingly that it was hard not to doubt his identity.

Finally, he said, "Jade is the princess of my Silver Dragon Clan, and I'm her younger brother! We're the most gifted dragons of our clan, which is why we served at the Primordial Dragon King's side for years. But during the War of the Gods, I was ambushed by a villain and cast into this spatial black hole. I lost all news of them after that."

Evan Chu smiled, "So you're Jade's younger brother. That means we're not outsiders. From now on, you can call me Young Lord!"

The elder froze. If he didn't know Evan Chu was aware of Jade's past, he'd honestly think Evan was an idiot—actually daring to make a late-stage God-Venerable call him Young Lord. It was utterly absurd.

"Who exactly are you? How do you know my sister? And why does she call you Young Lord?" the elder asked, full of questions.

Evan Chu knew the elder would ask this, so he flashed forward and let out a mighty dragon roar. A nine-clawed golden Divine Dragon appeared before the elder, unleashing such overwhelming draconic might that it made people want to kneel and submit.

The elder was utterly shaken when he saw Evan Chu transform into a nine-clawed golden dragon. He'd expected Evan to be noble, but not this noble—a nine-clawed golden dragon was the Primordial Dragon himself.

He understood instantly. His body involuntarily bent, preparing to kneel before Evan Chu—even though it was impossible to truly kneel in the void. "Silver Dragon greets the King!" the elder said respectfully to Evan Chu.

Evan Chu reverted to human form and smiled, "I know you have a lot of questions. Why am I the Primordial Dragon? It's not that hard to figure out—I'm his reincarnation, carrying his bloodline. I just haven't fully awakened my bloodline power yet."

I met Jade in the Immortal Realm, so I know a bit about her situation. But she hasn't fully awakened her memories yet, so there are many things she's still unclear about.

The elder's expression changed rapidly. He'd started off looking down on Evan Chu, but now he was completely respectful—the shift was almost unbelievable.

"Young Lord, I was blind and failed to recognize your true identity. Please don't hold it against me! I swear I'll break open this spatial black hole!" the Silver Dragon elder said.

"You can't break this space alone—but I can help you do it. Before we try, though, I want to know what really happened during the War of the Gods. Why did you say you were betrayed? Who was it that set you up?" Evan Chu asked.

A faint anger flashed across the Silver Dragon elder's face—not directed at Evan Chu, but at the one who betrayed him back then.

"Young Lord, since you're the Primordial Dragon's reincarnation and haven't awakened all your memories, there are many Dragon Clan secrets you don't know. There are three major factions in the clan: the Primordial Dragon's own, which is strongest, then Lord Shadowdrake's, and finally my Silver Dragon Clan.

But both my Silver Dragon Clan and Lord Shadowdrake's faction were loyal to you. During the War of the Gods, I was betrayed by Lord Shadowdrake, the chief of his clan. He was your closest confidant, and you always treated him as a brother—but he secretly coveted the position of Dragon Clan sovereign and wanted to unify the dragons under himself.

I only discovered his plot at the last moment, but it was already too late. Lord Shadowdrake—also known as the Shadow Dragon—was one of the earliest dragons, carrying a primordial, prehistoric aura and terrifying strength. His most fearsome trait is that he's nearly impossible to kill: he's a living shadow who can possess any dragon body.

Unless his host dies or he himself dies, he won't truly perish—and who would willingly die together with him? He looks down on weak dragons, refusing to possess them. If I'm right, the Shadow Dragon has already seized control of the entire Dragon Clan. Now that you're the reincarnation, it's likely you fell in the War of the Gods.

The Shadow Dragon has another terrifying ability: he can turn invisible, making him impossible to guard against. In the future, Young Lord, the Dragon Clan's blood debt will be yours to avenge!" said the Silver Dragon elder.

"Lord Shadowdrake? Got it. Don't worry—I swear I'll get justice for the Dragon Clan, and for you!" Evan Chu replied solemnly.
