"Someone else is trapped in this space? Is he trying to break through it?" That was Evan Chu's first instinct when he saw the mysterious figure.
He didn’t approach. Judging by the aura pouring off that man, he had to be at least God-Venerable Realm—maybe even late-stage God-Venerable. With things still unclear, Evan Chu wasn’t about to rush in recklessly.
The mysterious white-haired elder stopped his assault, turned, and locked eyes with Evan Chu. "Kid, who are you? Why did you show up inside this spatial black hole?"
"Then who are you? Why are you attacking this spatial black hole?" Evan retorted, noticing the elder hadn’t made a move against him yet.
"Who I am isn’t something a brat like you gets to ask. Late-stage God-Emperor, and you actually managed to enter a spatial black hole and survive? That’s honestly impressive!" The mysterious elder laughed, his tone dripping with arrogance.
"I don’t care who you are, but you’re stuck here just like me. Sure, I’m only late-stage God-Emperor, but that’s got nothing to do with you. If you’re so powerful, why haven’t you broken out of this black hole space yet?" Evan shot back, his tone indignant.
"Hahaha! Kid, you’ve got guts to talk to me like that. Did you eat a leopard’s gall or something? Do you even know what this spatial black hole is? This is a Chaotic Black Hole—the rarest and deadliest in the entire God Realm. If it were any other kind, I’d have broken out long ago. Now that you’re here, you can basically forget about ever leaving for the rest of your life!"
Or maybe you’ll just get swallowed by the raging turbulence in here soon enough. Better brace yourself, or you’ll die without even knowing where you ended up." The elder’s words were cold and ominous.
"Chaotic Black Hole? There are types of spatial black holes? So you’re saying there’s no way out?" Evan asked, his voice full of shock.
"You really don’t know what’s good for you. I’ve been trapped here for countless tens of millions of years. If I could break out of this Chaotic Black Hole, I’d have done it ages ago. You’d best give up hope. Back in the day, I might’ve killed you on the spot, but since you’re just another pitiful soul, I won’t make things harder for you. Whether you live a few days longer is up to fate. Don’t expect me to save anyone in this turbulent space." The elder’s tone was both despairing and cold.
Evan Chu glanced at the spot the elder had just attacked and asked, "Why were you striking the space in front of you? Is that the weakest point in the black hole? You’ve spent countless tens of millions of years in this Chaotic Black Hole—you must have mapped out every inch of it by now!"
"Kid, you’re not completely clueless. That really is the weakest spot in this space. But there’s no divine energy here, and my godstones were used up ages ago. Some of these flying stones have energy crystals, but the power inside is far too thin—no way I can restore myself with that."
If you’ve got godstones, you could lend me some. Maybe, if I recover, I’ll be able to break through and take you out with me. But if you’re stingy, you’ll just have to wait here for death. If I wanted to rob you, it’d be easy—but since you’re another unlucky soul, I won’t bother." The elder’s words were both threatening and dismissive.
Evan said nothing, but inwardly he was smirking. If you tried to rob my godstones, you’d be the one courting death. With no energy to replenish yourself, you’re probably at sixty or seventy percent of your former power—at best, mid-stage God-Venerable. Taking you down would be a breeze.
Still, Evan kept this to himself. From the elder’s words, it was clear he’d once been a genuinely upright man. Why he’d ended up trapped in this black hole was anyone’s guess.
Immediately, Evan took out several dozen top-grade godstones and a few god crystals from his storage ring. "I hope these godstones help you recover. Can you tell me why you ended up in this black hole? Who are you, really?"
Seeing the godstones in Evan’s hand, the elder’s face flashed with shock and delight. With a casual wave, the godstones flew straight into his grasp.
"It’s better you don’t know who I am. I won’t harm you, that much I promise. As for why I’m here, I’d rather not talk about it—just brings up more hatred. I’ve survived this long for one reason: someday, I’ll escape and kill the villain who betrayed me." The elder’s voice was cold and heavy with resentment.
After that, he ignored Evan and focused on absorbing the energy from the godstones. Evan, meanwhile, floated over to inspect the spot the elder had attacked, but couldn’t see anything unusual. Maybe his cultivation just wasn’t high enough to see the deeper structure.
Chaotic turbulence constantly surged through the black hole space. Evan even saw flows of fire element and metal element, but they couldn’t harm him at all. He didn’t want to reveal his true strength in front of the elder, so every time a wave hit, he’d dodge away with exaggerated caution.
After about seven days, the elder finally stopped absorbing energy—the godstones were completely spent, leaving only a single god crystal. He let out a long, turbid breath, then suddenly threw his head back and unleashed a sky-shaking roar. The sheer force of it nearly swept Evan into the turbulence.
That roar was no ordinary shout—it was a dragon’s cry! The mysterious elder was actually a member of the Dragon Clan. Evan was stunned, his heart pounding with excitement.
"Kid, thanks for the godstones. Now do you know who I am? That’s right, I’m a Silver Dragon of the Dragon Clan—a former general under the Primordial Dragon King. During the War of the Gods, I was betrayed by my own kind and cast into this spatial black hole."
The Dragon Clan has always been close allies with humanity. I have no intention of harming you. Whether we get out of here or not is up to heaven’s will." the elder said solemnly.
"You’re a Silver Dragon? You know the Primordial Dragon? Then do you know Jade?" Evan blurted out, urgent. He knew Jade had once been a key general under the Primordial Dragon and was also of the Silver Dragon line—maybe they were related.
"Jade? You know her? Where did you see her—tell me, quick!" The elder’s emotions surged wildly at Evan’s words.
Evan could tell he’d struck a nerve—Jade was probably the elder’s most important person, maybe even family. So he explained, "Jade has already reincarnated and should have ascended to the God Realm by now. I’m her friend. Who are you, really? What’s your relationship to Jade?"
"Reincarnated? Hahaha! Heaven truly has eyes—she’s still alive! I have to get out and see her! Kid, stand back, I’m breaking this black hole space right now!" the elder cried, his voice electric with excitement.
