Spirit Cannon Core

2/27/2026

After his fierce battle with the tenth guardian, Evan Yang was quite exhausted and was now resting. In the Twelve Pegasus Star Systems, ten people were gathered together—these were all the ones Evan had defeated.

“Someone actually made it through ten gates in a row this time. That’s really not easy,” said the dual-attribute cultivator with a smile.

“Yeah, it’s been seven hundred years since we last opened the trials, and now we’ve got someone like this. Interesting,” another person laughed.

“You two don’t need to sigh over it—let’s just see if he can clear the last two gates. If he does, we’ll meet him in person and find out who he is and why he’s challenging the trials.” One person smiled, and the other seven agreed it made sense.

After resting, Evan Yang charged into the eleventh gate. Relying on his Limitless Spear, he cleared the eleventh gate. Then he reached the twelfth, the strongest gate, where he faced a guardian adept at creating multiple clones—making him extremely tough to deal with.

“Getting through eleven gates is impressive, but the twelfth is much harder. I have multiple clones, so you can’t tell which one is really me. You won’t be able to defeat me—just admit defeat and leave,” the guardian said with a laugh.

“You can split into clones, and your strength is indeed impressive, but I know exactly which one is your true body,” Evan Yang replied with a smile.

By sensing souls, Evan Yang could easily tell which clone was the soul’s master, so he knew which was the true body.

“Impossible! How could you possibly distinguish my soul?” the guardian said, refusing to believe it.

“I have my own methods, so these tricks don’t bother me much—they just cause a bit of interference at most,” Evan Yang said.

“Oh? You’re pretty confident—watch this.” With that, the guardian attacked Evan Yang with three clones and his true body. To deal with the real one, Evan first had to block the three clones. Without hesitation, Evan split off several clones of his own. Though his clones weren’t very strong, he knew they could stall for a moment while he focused on the true body.

Sure enough, when the guardian’s three clones were tangled up by Evan’s clones, he was shocked and tried to break free—only to realize his true body had already been locked onto by Evan. Knowing this was the final gate and there was nothing left to hold back, Evan directly drew the Soul-Devouring Divine Sword and launched an attack.

The guardian was forced back again and again by the Soul-Devouring Divine Sword, and finally admitted defeat. “Stop, you win.”

“Thanks for letting me win,” Evan Yang said with a smile, retracting his clones. The guardian looked at Evan curiously. “How do you have clones too?”

“Everyone cultivates different techniques, so of course I do. It’s nothing special,” Evan Yang replied with a smile.

“True, it’s nothing special,” the guardian sighed.

“So, can I meet the twelve real Grand Commanders now?” Evan Yang asked.

“Of course, follow me. We’ve been waiting for you,” the guardian said with a smile. He led Evan Yang out of the trial tunnel, and soon they arrived on a planet, where on a flat plain Evan saw the twelve Grand Commanders’ true bodies.

“Greetings, seniors,” Evan Yang said respectfully to the twelve.

“No need to be so formal—your strength is already so great, it actually makes us feel awkward as ‘seniors’,” one of them said with a smile.

The speaker was the dual-attribute powerhouse. Evan Yang smiled and said, “That’s how it should be.”

“So, tell us—why did you come here?” asked the guardian of the first gate, curious.

Evan Yang said, “I’ve already passed the trials and become a Top Hunter. I’ve met the God-Avatar Souls and found the Plane Lord’s location. But I have a question—what exactly is the creature on the Divine Saint Star?”

“What? You went to the Divine Saint Star?” The first gate guardian exclaimed, and the others were equally shocked.

“That’s right. I come from the Gods’ original world—not from here,” Evan Yang said, shocking all twelve Grand Commanders.

“So that’s it—you’re from our great Gods’ original world. No wonder we always felt something strange about you,” the first gate guardian said, surprised and suspicious.

“I came here to stop the Plane Lord’s rebirth—and if possible, destroy him ahead of time,” Evan Yang said.

“What’s going on, exactly?” the first gate guardian asked, suspicious.

So Evan Yang explained everything—why he came to this plane, why he went to the Divine Saint Star, and what happened afterward. He told all twelve Grand Commanders, and their faces showed shock as they listened.

“Looks like what’s meant to happen will happen after all,” the first gate guardian sighed.

“What do you mean, senior?” Evan Yang asked curiously.

“The twelve of us are strong because we passed the trials. There’s a Divine Temple here—after the trial, you enter it and learn about the gods. After what you said, we understand—the Plane Lord must be awakening early,” the first gate guardian sighed.

“So you all know about the battle between the gods and the Plane Lord?” Evan Yang asked.

“Of course. We know everything that happened back then,” the first gate guardian replied.

“That’s great. Now that you know why I’m here, can you tell me what that creature actually is?” Evan Yang asked, curious.

“We’ve been to the Divine Saint Star before, just like you—to become Top Hunters, out of curiosity. Some of us saw God-Avatars, some didn’t, but none of us saw the creature you mentioned,” the first gate guardian said.

Evan Yang looked at the others, but they all shook their heads. In the end, Evan could only fall silent. “That’s strange—why did I see it?”

“I have no idea,” the first gate guardian replied.

“Since even you seniors don’t know, I’ll just have to go to the Spirit Void Mirror and stop the Plane Lord from awakening early,” Evan Yang said.

“If we didn’t have to guard this place, we’d go with you,” the first gate guardian sighed.

Evan Yang smiled. “Just keep guarding this place. Leave the Plane Lord to me.”

“Be careful. The Plane Lord is far more terrifying than you can imagine,” the first gate guardian warned.

“Got it, thanks. I’m ready to set out,” Evan Yang said.

“Wait. We can’t leave, but we can prepare something for you. Stay here for a moment,” said the first gate guardian.

Evan Yang was curious what they were doing, so he waited. The twelve Grand Commanders gathered and discussed for a while, then formed a circle and raised their hands, chanting something unknown. Soon, light appeared in each of their hands, finally merging into a small glowing circle.

Evan Yang had no idea what they were doing, so he kept waiting. When the twelve finally appeared, he saw they looked exhausted, as if they’d just fought a great battle.

“Here’s a box. When you’re fighting the Plane Lord and need more power, this will help you,” the first gate guardian said, dragging his weakened body.

Evan Yang asked curiously, “What happened to you all?”

“The twelve of us pooled most of our power into the Spirit Cannon Core. It’s incredibly potent and packed with energy. Using it is like unleashing the combined strength of all twelve of us in a single strike,” the first gate guardian explained.
