"My sister-in-law asked me to come and take you to try on dresses. Sorry, I've been busy and only just got free." Ethan Yin smiled at Violet Wei and said, "Do you prefer designer brands or custom-made? Our Yin family usually goes for custom, but if you don't like custom..."
"I like everything. As long as you buy it for me, I’ll love it." Violet Wei stepped forward and grabbed Ethan Yin’s fingers.
For a moment, Ethan Yin’s smile froze on his lips.
He resisted the urge to pull away from Violet Wei, forced a smile, and looked down, saying, "Really? Okay. Let’s go shopping today and see if there’s anything you like. If not, we’ll get something custom-made. My sister-in-law and brother’s wedding is getting closer, and time is running out…"
Ethan Yin’s words were starting to get a little jumbled.
Violet Wei thought Ethan Yin was still troubled by May Yan’s situation, which explained his confusion. She showed her gentlest side: "Alright, let’s just go shopping. With so little time left, custom orders probably aren’t possible. If there’s a suitable designer dress, I don’t mind."
Ethan Yin casually put his arm around Violet Wei’s waist and took the opportunity to pull his fingers free. "Alright, let’s go shopping. Buy whatever you want today. If you like it, I’ll buy it all!"
Violet Wei smiled at Ethan Yin.
Maybe it was a woman’s intuition, but Violet Wei felt something was off about the atmosphere.
She felt Ethan Yin was being... perfunctory today.
But after carefully observing Ethan Yin’s expression several times, she realized he didn’t seem much different.
He was always this polite, always keeping an appropriate distance.
It didn’t seem wrong, either.
But it was exactly this excessive politeness that made people uneasy.
Ethan Yin, as if he hadn’t noticed anything, smiled at Violet Wei and said, "What’s the matter? Lost in thought? Let’s hurry, we can’t delay my brother and sister-in-law’s wedding. Once you attend, you’ll officially be accepted by the Yin family. After that, we’ll be family."
"Ah… okay." Violet Wei quickly collected herself, constantly reassuring herself that she was just overthinking it.
While Ethan Yin and Violet Wei were shopping all over town, Eric Jiang came to visit Cecilia Gu.
When Cecilia Gu saw Eric Jiang arrive, she smiled and said, "It’s been a while since I’ve seen you."
Eric Jiang carefully handed the flowers he was holding to Mrs. Zhang, gave her a few instructions, and then said to Cecilia Gu, "I know you’re busy, and I have other things too. But for something as big as your wedding, I had to come back, didn’t I?"
Cecilia Gu laughed, "You’re my brother—how could you not come to my wedding?"

Cecilia Gu laughed, “You’re my brother—how could you not come to my wedding?”
Eric Jiang and Cecilia Gu sat down together in the living room. Eric looked at Cecilia’s belly and couldn’t help but say with longing, "I still remember what you looked like when you were pregnant last time. I can’t believe you’re about to have your second! Time really flies!"
Cecilia Gu sighed, "Yeah, I really didn’t expect that little rascal Ethan would grow up so fast."
Just as they were speaking, Ethan Yin and Miles Gu burst in from outside like they were riding on the wind and fire wheels, startling Mrs. Zhang, who cried out, "How did you two end up like this, following the young master? What happened?"
The bodyguards complained, "We were running after them the whole way! But the two young masters were just too fast. We couldn’t catch up, and they both jumped right in!"
Hearing the commotion, Cecilia Gu ran over and saw Ethan Yin and Miles Gu looking like a pair of muddy monkeys, grinning brightly.
Cecilia Gu couldn’t help but ask, "What were you two up to?"
The bodyguard explained, "Madam, we just couldn’t stop the two young masters. They insisted on going into the pond to dig up lotus roots for you. Even though the pond has been drained, the mud is still soft. The two boys are small, and when they jumped in, it was waist-deep. That’s how they ended up like this."
Ethan Yin and Miles Gu held up a piece of fresh lotus root and said to Cecilia Gu, "Mommy, our teacher said lotus root has lots of nutrients. We want to help our little sister stay healthy!"
For their little sister… to stay healthy…
She’s not even born yet, and they’re already showing favoritism?
Cecilia Gu deliberately put on a stern face. "Hmm? For your little sister?"
Ethan Yin and Miles Gu blinked and cheerfully replied, "Mommy eats first, then we’ll save some for the little sister in your tummy!"
Everyone burst out laughing.
"Alright, alright, go take a bath! Look at the state you’re in." Cecilia Gu couldn’t help but laugh and said to Mrs. Zhang, "Wash them a few times—the mud’s been there for years!"
"Yes, madam." Mrs. Zhang smiled and took Ethan Yin and Miles Gu to bathe.
Cecilia Gu returned and continued chatting with Eric Jiang.
When she got back to the living room, Eric Jiang was nowhere to be seen. The servants told Cecilia Gu that Mr. Jiang had gone to the greenhouse.
Cecilia Gu chuckled softly.
He still loves tending to flowers.
Cecilia Gu walked over and saw Eric Jiang rolling up his sleeves, personally pruning the flowers. She couldn’t help but say, "You really do everything yourself, huh?"

Eric Jiang casually replied, "Yeah. I met a really interesting person from your Grant family these past few days. Her knowledge of flowers seems even greater than mine."
Cecilia Gu was instantly curious. "Really? I didn’t know that. She’s from our Grant family?"
Eric Jiang nodded with a smile. "Yes. Her name is Molly Yun. I met her by chance, and she told me all sorts of things about orchids. I never thought there was anyone who knew more about orchids than I do. I used to think only Nora was better than me, but I didn’t expect the Grant family to have another hidden talent."
Cecilia Gu grew even more curious. "That’s impossible! Only the direct descendants of the Grant family have access to our archives. Outsiders can’t see them at all. How could she know more about orchids than you? Unless she’s been a florist since childhood and has worked in the field for decades. From the way you’re talking, she doesn’t seem that old."
"Yeah, she’s about your age." Eric Jiang nodded. "The flower I gave you today was grown by her. She asked me to give it to you as a wedding gift."
Cecilia Gu’s expression grew even more puzzled.
Someone from the Grant family?
And she sent me an orchid as a wedding gift?
Why did she send it through Eric Jiang instead of the Grant family?
Cecilia Gu turned to look at the orchid. It really was expertly cultivated.
The orchid was pruned beautifully.
Cecilia Gu could tell that a lot of care had gone into raising this flower.
Cecilia Gu gently brushed her fingers over the orchid’s leaves and said, "She’s really thoughtful. If possible, invite her to my wedding. It would be rude not to after receiving such a precious gift."
After saying this, Cecilia Gu instinctively looked up at Eric Jiang.
"Sure." Eric Jiang smiled at Cecilia Gu. He was still as elegant and charming as ever.
After Eric Jiang left, Cecilia Gu sat in her chair, staring blankly at the orchid.
After thinking it over, Cecilia Gu called her father: "Dad, I want to ask you about someone. Is there a girl named Molly Yun in our family?"
Mr. Yun thought for a moment and replied, "Yes, there is. She’s from a collateral branch of our family, separated since my grandfather’s generation. She’s quite distantly related to you. Why are you asking about her?"
Cecilia Gu said softly, "She’s no ordinary girl. Even as a collateral member, she has an impressive knowledge of flowers. Today, she asked Eric Jiang to deliver an orchid she cultivated herself as a wedding gift for me and Charles. I had it checked by a doctor—there’s nothing wrong with it. But growing such an orchid requires a lot of effort, time, and money. As a collateral branch, her family probably isn’t very wealthy. Why would she send me such an expensive gift?"
Cecilia Gu replied, “Yes, that’s what I’m wondering too.”
“Alright, I’ll look into it. We’ll be flying over in a couple of days, so we won’t miss your wedding.” Mr. Yun quickly hung up.
Clearly, he wanted to investigate Molly Yun’s situation.
After all, this was just too unusual.
The Grant family’s archives require special access permissions.
Collateral branches of the Grant family are a bit more knowledgeable than ordinary people, but they can’t compare to the direct line.
According to Cecilia Gu, Molly Yun’s talent is nearly on par with Nora Yun.
How is that possible?
Did the Grant family overlook a genius?
If that’s the case, there’s no way we can let her slip away!
Mr. Yun took action, while Cecilia Gu continued preparing for the wedding.
Two days before the wedding, Wendy excitedly brought over the guest list. “Madam, the guest list is ready! Would you like to look it over? The guests this time are all top-tier celebrities! Even a British royal wedding wouldn’t be this grand!”
