Greeting the Boss

2/14/2026

The Cloud-Rider Coaster glided slowly along the track, gradually entering the main stretch.

Evan Lin's expression remained calm. The people around him, tense with nerves, were already holding their breath, ready to scream at any moment.

Beside him, Lily Zhong gripped Evan's hand tightly, her mood inexplicably relaxing.

As the entire Cloud-Rider Coaster climbed higher, a nearly ninety-degree drop loomed ahead, and the speed suddenly shot up.

The cold wind rushed straight at them, whipping Lily Zhong's long black hair into disarray. Shouts and screams, full of terror, echoed in her ears.

In that brief moment, Lily Zhong snuck a glance at Evan beside her. Aside from his bangs flying in the wind, Evan looked exactly like a meditating Buddha—completely unfazed by everything happening around him.

Down below the Cloud-Rider Coaster, Manager Yang looked up at the rising ride, wiped sweat from his forehead, and wore an anxious expression.

Soon after, he answered a phone call.

"Ah, yes—yes, Brother Big Tank?" The moment Manager Yang picked up, his demeanor changed to one of extreme humility, forcing a smile. "Yes, yes, I'm right here at the amusement park."

"Huh? You want to inspect the place? Of course, of course—if Brother Big Tank wants to check out the park, that's a huge honor for me!"

A group of street punks strode toward the amusement park. When they reached the entrance, they saw the staff lined up in two respectful rows at the gate.

Whoa, looks like Boss Pang’s got real pull! They’re actually welcoming us in to beat someone up?" The lead punk grinned, clearly feeling important.

They swaggered right inside.

Manager Yang, standing at the entrance, had been smiling and scanning the group, hoping to spot Big Tank and go greet him.

But after a quick look, he didn’t see Big Tank. Frowning, he turned away.

Manager Yang had seen plenty of street punks like these before.

Normally, he’d have someone throw them out, but with Big Tank coming soon, he figured it was better not to cause trouble and just ignored them.

The staff stood at the entrance as the punks swaggered in, looking rather pleased with themselves.

Tsk tsk, Boss Pang really does have some status! These people just let us walk right in without tickets, didn’t even stop us. Haha, we’ll have plenty of fun here soon.

Seeing the staff respectfully lined up at the entrance, the punks marched right through the center of the gate.

They entered the amusement park and quickly headed toward the Cloud-Rider Coaster.

Just a few minutes after they entered, ten black Mercedes rolled up in a row, drawing stares from passersby.

The black cars reflected cold, harsh rays in the sunlight.

Sharp-eyed onlookers noticed that all ten Mercedes had consecutive license plates—these numbers used to belong to the Lewis family!

Manager Yang’s eyes lit up when he saw the ten Mercedes, and he hurried forward.

When the lead Mercedes stopped, Manager Yang approached with a smile and opened the door.

"Brother Big Tank, wow, what a surprise! You’re personally inspecting the place in this heat?"

Seeing those cars, Manager Yang immediately understood—this suddenly-rising Big Tank must have swallowed up the Lewis family too.

"If I don’t come personally, how would I know who really owns this place, right?"

Big Tank stepped out from the back seat, wearing dark sunglasses, freshly styled hair, a thick gold chain around his neck, and a sharp suit.

Getting out of the car, Big Tank had never felt so triumphant—like he’d reached the peak of his life.

Luxury cars, loyal underlings—he had it all.

As soon as Big Tank got out, the doors of the other cars opened too.

The guys who got out were all in suits, sunglasses, and dress shoes, exuding an imposing aura—worlds apart from the street punks.

"Brother Big Tank, as you say—please, after you."

Manager Yang smiled and led the way, with Big Tank following behind, soaking up the envy and fear in the eyes of everyone around him. It felt amazing.

After all those years of grinding, he’d finally made it to the top.

After Evan Lin left, Big Tank couldn’t wait to start inspecting his new territory, strutting everywhere he went. Shi Wen and Dongzi went off for a sauna.

"This place looks pretty good—just opened recently. Business isn’t great yet, but Xiao Yang, you’d better work hard. Do a good job and I’ll reward you, got it?"

Big Tank glanced at Manager Yang and grunted.

Back then, Big Tank never even had the chance to meet Manager Yang—they were on different levels. But now, the tables had turned!

"Greetings, Boss Big Tank!"

As Big Tank led his men into the park, the staff on both sides shouted loudly, their voices full of energy.

Big Tank was beaming, scanning everything around him, grinning as he toured the park surrounded by his entourage.

Big Tank basked in the respect, striding through the park as the center of attention.

He felt every eye on him—envy from some, fear from others. It was the kind of moment he’d dreamed about for years.

The staff’s shouts echoed, making Big Tank feel like a true king of the city.

He nodded, satisfied, as Manager Yang kept pace beside him, eager to please.

Big Tank’s men followed close, keeping formation and looking every bit the part of a real underworld crew.

Compared to the street punks earlier, these guys were on a whole different level.

Even the amusement park staff couldn’t help but stare, awed by the spectacle.

Big Tank moved through the crowd with the confidence of someone who’d finally made it.

He was the boss now, and everyone knew it.

This was his turf. And today, nobody dared stand in his way.
