"So, the remnants of both dynasties are actually all on this ancient ship."
The Great Sun Star Lord was tall and imposing, like a giant humanoid bird standing at the stern. His three eyes opened wide, looking down at Chi Creek and the First Human Emperor from above. He tilted his bird head, glanced curiously at the building, and laughed: "Capturing you all this time means I can finally track down Carefree Haven and the Suspended World, rounding up every last remnant of both dynasties in one net. Truly, it couldn't be easier! Now, who was it just now that said they wanted my blood?"
"Me!"
Quinn Shepherd opened the window, raised his hand, and said, "Star Lord, it was me—I'm right here!"
The Great Sun Star Lord laughed, "You're already dead."
Quinn quickly patted himself down, finding he was perfectly fine, and smiled, "I'm clearly alive and well—how could I be dead?"
The Great Sun Star Lord replied leisurely, "In my eyes, you little brats are all already dead. Only those two at the stern who dare resist me might still survive, since I need them to find Carefree Haven and the Suspended World."
Ban Gongcuo rushed over and slammed the window shut with a bang.
The window was pushed open again. Quinn stuck his head out and grinned, "We're obviously still alive."
The Great Sun Star Lord's pupils narrowed. He sneered, "You'll be dead soon enough."
Quinn made as if to open the casket, and Ban Gongcuo's face changed drastically; he hurriedly fled.
This blood-qi must be from the casket—why is it clinging to me? If I can't feed the casket, will I be its next victim? Quinn thought nervously.
He couldn't tell what was special about the blood-qi, only that it seemed connected to the casket.
Suddenly, the blood-qi turned to smoke and drilled into the center of his brow, slipping beneath the willow leaf and into his third eye. Soon, all the blood-qi was absorbed by his third eye.
A burping sound came from his third eye.
Quinn tilted his head; the casket burped, and then his own eye burped too. The world's oddities just kept piling up.
Within the world of his eye, a sinister voice sounded from the blood-qi: "Which brat stole my food? That kid was my chosen meal, and you dared steal my blood-fiend essence? I’ll eat you…"
Fenix Greenwood Keane slurped up the blood-qi like noodles, burped, and shook his fist fiercely toward the sky: "Threaten me? Once I escape, I'll smash you to bits and eat you!"
Outside the ship, a battle erupted in the starry sky, and the tower-ship was pushed farther away by the shockwaves of the three gods and demons.
The Great Sun Star Lord faced off against the First Human Emperor and Chi Creek. Chi Creek had a thousand-layer Chiming Heavenlock Tower above his head and wielded six swords. His flesh and divine arts were incredibly strong, and he fought fiercely. Quinn could barely follow Chi Creek's moves with his eyes.
This man had three heads and six arms, six swords—all top-tier divine weapons. His fighting style was wild, specializing in close combat. His speed was unimaginable. Though not as strong as the Great Sun Star Lord or the First Human Emperor, only the Heavenlock Tower's power let him withstand the Star Lord's attacks.
Three heads and six arms made for the strongest body. Normally, even one extra arm would revolutionize fighting styles and allow for more techniques.
With each extra arm, attack options multiplied, and he had three heads and six arms—his body cultivation methods were nearly fully developed!
Quinn stepped out of the building and stood at the stern, watching the battle. He couldn't help but marvel: "The Chiming Era didn’t achieve much in divine arts, but their body cultivation was amazing. Every extra arm or head added a move on top of the basic fourteen-sword forms. Looks like I underestimated Ban Gongcuo’s Seamless War-God Art!"
In the Great Ruins, he had seen many multi-headed, multi-armed statues. The body-cultivation methods of three heads, six arms, or three faces, eight arms were likely all modeled after the Chiming Era.
This showed just how advanced the Chiming Era’s body cultivation was!
However, the Great Sun Star Lord focused most of his power on the First Human Emperor. The moment they first clashed, he realized the First Ancestor’s combat strength was astonishing.
The First Human Emperor’s seal arts could withstand his attacks and made him feel threatened. As for Chi Creek, though troublesome, his combat strength was far below the First Ancestor.
The Great Sun Star Lord’s fighting style also amazed Quinn.
This godman had three legs, all bird legs with talons. In the starry sky, his talons were the sharpest weapons, able to split mountains and shatter stone.
He also had two wings, which rang with a metallic clang. The wings flashed all around him, moving with incredible speed, slicing like divine blades and radiating endless fire.
His wings' vibrations made the Great Sun Star Lord incredibly fast—neither Chi Creek nor the First Human Emperor could keep up.
He also had two arms, and with each divine seal, a great sun leapt from his palm, exploding into flames that filled the sky—like miniature suns.
Even more terrifying was his bird beak, a formidable weapon that could pierce the heads of the First Ancestor and Chi Creek!
Most terrifying of all were his three divine eyes, each containing arrays. When activated, they shot divine light like Quinn’s Solar Jade Eye, but far more powerful!
Chi Creek’s three heads and six arms made his fighting style complex, but the Sun Star Lord was just as fierce—talons flashing, body moving like lightning, wings slicing, divine arts raging, beak striking, even spewing solar fire, and his three eyes shooting divine rays. Soon, both the First Ancestor and Chi Creek were covered in wounds.
At this rate, both the First Ancestor and Chi Creek will die at the Great Sun Star Lord’s hands.
Quinn watched, dazzled, wanting to open the little casket and unleash the Godslayer Blade to help. But the three fought so fast—especially the Sun Star Lord—that he feared the blade would kill the wrong person.
More likely, the blade would miss all three and turn on Quinn himself!
Suddenly, the Great Sun Star Lord swooped over Chi Creek’s head, grabbed the thousand-layer Chiming Heavenlock Tower with three talons, and hurled the tower away.
“Crap!” Quinn thought, alarmed.
Chi Creek was also shocked. He saw the Sun Star Lord’s wings slashing toward him, hurriedly blocked with six swords, and was sent tumbling into the dark sky.
Meanwhile, the First Human Emperor struck the Sun Star Lord’s back with a seal, but layers of feathers blocked the blow—though he still coughed blood.
He twisted his head, turning his neck so his face pointed backward, then spewed solar fire like a waterfall from the sky, along with three razor-sharp beams from his eyes.
The First Human Emperor’s face darkened, his aura growing ever more somber. The Great Sun Star Lord suddenly sensed a deadly threat—his divine feathers exploded outward, like a startled dragon-chicken.
He risked taking a blow from the First Human Emperor just to send Chi Creek flying, all to face the First Ancestor alone. The First Ancestor was the strongest; only by defeating him first could he claim total victory!
Now, with the First Ancestor seizing the initiative, he wasted no time unleashing his final move.
Quinn watched from afar, his face grave. He whispered, "The first move of the Heaven-Tilting Three Forms: Heaven Overturned, Earth Severed..."
The Heaven-Tilting Three Forms of the First Human Emperor were three seal techniques Quinn still hadn’t mastered—not for lack of talent, but because they required the courage to perish with the world itself!
Quinn admitted he couldn’t do it.
From the tower-ship, Quinn saw the starry sky suddenly blaze with light. A resplendent celestial court appeared beneath the First Ancestor’s feet—sun and moon rising, stars shining. Then the heavens collapsed, sun and moon were destroyed, stars fell like rain. The instant the world ended, it was both tragic and beautiful!
Quinn’s face changed. He grabbed the casket and ran, hurtling toward the building. Lynn Ling bravely stepped out to watch the battle, but Quinn swept her onto his shoulder and charged inside.
Boom—
A terrifying shockwave hit, sending them flying into the ceiling. The whole tower-ship spun wildly, twisted by the force. The hull creaked and groaned, then snapped and splintered.
Quinn and Lynn Ling were terrified—the Chiming Era treasure could break apart at any moment from the violent shaking!
