The girl had neat ear-length short hair, a clean, pretty egg-shaped face, and eyes as bright as stars—right now, they were filled with surprise.
She called out, then pushed open the car door and ran straight toward Ian Song.
Ian didn’t stop walking. He didn’t know this girl at all—she was probably someone Landon Lu used to know.
"Hey, Landon Lu, don’t run off! Wait for me!"
A burst of fragrance swept past. Suddenly the girl appeared right in front of Ian, blocking his way. One hand on her hip, one finger pointed at him, she scolded angrily, "Well, Landon Lu, why do you run away every time you see me?"
"Sorry, you’ve got the wrong guy. I’m not Landon Lu." Ian glanced at her and replied coolly.
The girl froze for a moment. Her eyes landed on the spot above Ian’s left eyebrow, and a sly glint flashed in her gaze. "If you’re not Landon Lu, then who are you?"
"Sorry, I’ve got things to do. I’ll be going now!" Ian stepped around her again and strode off.
This time, the girl didn’t chase after him. Watching his back, a sly smile crept onto her lips. "Hmph, still pretending you’re not Landon Lu, still acting like you don’t know me. Let’s see how you escape me this time!"
She didn’t realize her mutterings were picked up loud and clear by Ian’s sharp senses. His brows tightened instantly.
Back at the apartment, Ian summoned Landon Lu from the Divine Temple and immediately asked, "Who was that girl?"
Hearing Ian’s description, Landon’s face showed clear fear. "Master, that girl must be Donna Dong."
Landon then told the whole story of his history with Donna Dong, sparing no detail.
Turns out Donna Dong was Landon's high school classmate, and she was famous far and wide as the Little Demoness.
The Little Demoness was a monster at Body Arts—already a fourth-level Warrior in first year, hit fifth-level in second year, and reached peak fifth-level by senior year.
Her favorite hobby? Finding people to 'spar' with—which really meant using them as punching bags.
So even though she was gorgeous, all the boys kept their distance. The unlucky part? Landon was her deskmate, so he got dragged into practice fights all the time.
At first, Landon tried to fight back and trained Body Arts like crazy, hoping to finally teach the Little Demoness a lesson.
But after a while, he just gave up hope and went numb.
It wasn’t until after the college entrance exam that Landon finally escaped his sea of suffering. To make sure he wouldn’t end up at the same university as the Little Demoness, he deliberately tanked the exam and only got into Plumridge Business College, while she aced it and went off to the Federal Military Academy.
Even though it’s been almost four years, just mentioning the Little Demoness still makes Landon look terrified.
Ian found the story pretty amusing.
Still, Donna Dong’s Body Arts talent really was freakish. By now she’s supposed to be peak ninth-level Warrior, about to break through to War General.
Logically, Donna Dong should still be at university. So why is she in a second-tier city like Plumridge?
"Maybe it’s because the military is recruiting new graduates next month?"
That makes sense. With her Body Arts talent, Donna Dong probably got a special transfer to the military. That would explain why she’s here in Plumridge.
Plumridge City, Armed Police Battalion.
A red sports car rolled straight in. Donna Dong hopped out and headed for the battalion commander’s office.
"Xiaowan, you’re back already?"
Victor Chen, the commander behind the desk, smiled as he asked.
"Uncle Chen, I want you to help me look someone up," Donna Dong said.
"It’s not...?" Victor Chen hesitated, looking uncertain.
"Don’t worry, it’s just an ordinary person, nothing classified." Donna Dong caught Victor’s worry and quickly added.
"That’s fine then." Victor Chen agreed.
At Victor Chen’s order, a young armed police officer arrived.
He led Donna Dong to the information room and, at her request, typed in Landon Lu’s name.
Soon, thousands of Landon Lus popped up on the screen.
"Limit age to twenty," Donna Dong said.
The young officer quickly set the filter, and the list shrank to just over a dozen results.
Donna Dong scanned the list, pointed to one, and all of Landon Lu’s info popped up—including a fresh note that he’d hit sixth-level Warrior.
"Didn’t expect this guy to hit sixth-level Warrior already. Wonder how many moves he can take from me now!" Seeing that, Donna Dong’s lips curled into a playful smile.
Soon enough, Donna Dong drove out of the Armed Police Battalion and headed straight for Landon Lu’s apartment.
Inside the apartment, Ian Song had already switched back to his true appearance.
He was eating with the real Landon Lu and Lynn Ning.
Knock knock!
There was a knock at the door.
Landon Lu is a loner with no friends, so Ian Song activated Clairvoyant Vision to see who was outside. His brows immediately furrowed—he hadn’t expected Donna Dong to show up, and she looked smug and sly.
"You two, get back to the Divine Temple!"
Ian Song sent Landon Lu and Lynn Ning back to the Divine Temple, cleaned up their bowls and chopsticks, then got up to open the door.
The moment he opened the door, a fist shot straight at his chest.
But Ian was ready for her—he dodged with a quick sidestep.
Donna’s punch missed, and she paused, surprised. She hadn’t used much force, but her speed was fast enough that any normal sixth-level Warrior would’ve been hit. The fact that Landon (as she thought) dodged her sneak attack meant his reflexes were way above average.
Wanting to see how much he’d improved, Donna barged right into the apartment and started swinging at Ian.
But Ian suddenly stepped forward to his left; her attack missed again, and his knee shot toward her lower abdomen.
Thump!
With a muffled grunt, Donna Dong staggered back two steps from the hit.
"Wow! You actually landed a hit. You’ve really leveled up these past few years!"
Donna raised her eyebrows, ready to charge again, but Ian quickly raised a hand and shouted, "Stop!"
"What, you want to quit after scoring a hit? No way it’s that easy!" Donna huffed, clearly annoyed.
"Donna Dong, quit messing around. If you try anything else, I’m calling the cops!" Ian said coldly.
Hearing Ian call her by name, Donna Dong grinned, "Didn’t you say you didn’t know me? How’d you know my name? Take this!"
Before the words were even out, Donna Dong lunged at him again.
Helpless, Ian could only retreat further into the apartment.
The living room had a sofa, coffee table, and dining table, so Ian used the furniture as obstacles to dodge Donna’s attacks. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t even touch his sleeve.
After chasing Ian around for ages, Donna finally gave up, stopped, and announced, "Alright, stop running. This young lady will let you off this time."
A while later.
Ian and Donna Dong sat together at the dining table.
But Donna only took one bite before her eyes went wide. "Wow, this food is amazing! Who cooked it?"
