Cherry Miller forced a bitter smile. "Alright, I get it."
"I'm going back to practice driving. Bye! I'll eat when I get home!" Nora Yin cheerfully hung up the phone.
Cherry Miller shook her head speechlessly and put away her phone, only to realize that Shawn Shi was staring at her, his eyes shining as brightly as lightbulbs.
"Ah, we've finished eating. Let's pay and go." Cherry Miller smiled at Shawn Shi. "I should head back now."
"Please wait a moment!" Shawn Shi quickly stopped Cherry Miller. "May I ask you a question?"
"Go ahead," Cherry Miller replied with a smile. "What's your question?"
"Can we date?" Shawn Shi gathered his courage and asked.
Cherry Miller was stunned.
She hadn't expected Shawn Shi to actually have the guts to say that.
Cherry Miller smiled without answering Shawn Shi. Instead, she waved over the waiter, handed over her credit card and the bill, and said, "The password is on the back of the card."
The waiter respectfully turned and left.
Cherry Miller's actions made her refusal clear.
She paid for the meal.
"I'm serious!" Shawn Shi said, feeling a bit relieved when he saw Cherry Miller pay the bill.
Spending that much money really hurt!
He hadn't expected Cherry Miller to be so wealthy—paying a bill of over ten thousand like it was nothing!
If she wasn't a rich family's heiress, he'd never believe it!
"Sorry, I have to decline," Cherry Miller replied with a smile. "I'm not looking for a relationship right now."
Cherry Miller stood up, grabbed her things, and turned to leave.
Shawn Shi immediately stood up and blocked Cherry Miller's path. "I won't give up."
So, Nora (Yina Yin) was completely focused on the qualifying rounds for each event.
Cherry Miller waited on the sidelines, smiling as she watched Nora (Yina Yin) sweat it out on the equipment.
