Next Target City of the Gods

"What kind of feelings?"

"You're my spirit pet."

Noctis stared at her for a long moment, demonic qi swirling between his brows again. At last, he let out a cold laugh and turned to leave.

"The Elders have already decided. Three months from now, I'll be marrying Liam Leshan," Tanya continued. "You shouldn't obsess over this anymore."

Noctis suddenly froze mid-step, then slowly turned back: "You're really going to marry him?"

Tanya nodded. "Stop helping Leo Li and the Celestial Empress with their crazy schemes. You're smart enough to know they're just using you as a weapon against Sean Shaw."

"Who says I'm helping them?" Noctis sneered. "I'm a demon! If I don't slaughter a few cities, how could I possibly live up to their title of 'demon god'?"

"So you're really going to keep going?" Tanya frowned.

"Of course I'm going to keep going! Next up... the City of the Gods!" Noctis's eyes burned red. "On your wedding day, I'll send you a grand gift!"

The City of the Gods—also called Cangwu Divine City.

It's a Divine City at the foot of Southcourt Palace.

It's the most prosperous place in all Three Divine Realms.

"Are you trying to get yourself killed?!" Tanya snapped.

"You'd better get ready! Every Grand Array, trap, and poison—prepare them all!" Noctis said. "Otherwise, the blood flowing beneath Southcourt Palace will match your big red wedding banners perfectly. It'll look great!"

With that, he vanished.

"Ah! Little Shrimp! Little Shrimp!" Lily Bai jumped around in a panic. "Divine Lord! He took Little Shrimp! What do we do? What do we do?!"

Just then, her Messenger Charm lit up.

It was Little Shrimp.

"Bobby Bai!" Lily Bai's shout startled a flock of birds flying overhead.

"Sis, don't worry! My master is super nice—he'd never hurt me!" Bobby Bai said.

"You... you..." Lily Bai wanted to yell at him—he's already slaughtered several cities! And now he says he'll go after Divine City too, and you think he's 'super nice'?!

But if she shouted, Lord Noctis would hear.

If he got angry, he might just slaughter Bobby Bai too.

So she stammered for ages, swallowed her anger, and finally said softly, "You must listen to Lord Noctis and never make him angry, okay?"

"Okay! I won't."

"And keep in touch with me at all times. Let me know where you are, alright?"

"All the time?"

"Yes, every day."

"You're even more troublesome than Empress Dowager." he grumbled.

"Otherwise, we'd worry about you."
