Evan’s Embarrassing Predicament

1/19/2026

Evan Chu looked at Gavin Wei in confusion. Was this kid just messing with him on purpose? He honestly hadn’t thought of such a method before.

"Is there really no other way?" Evan asked. He couldn’t let a girl’s innocence be ruined by his own hands.

"Boss Evan, this is the only way right now. Lynn’s injuries are serious—if you keep hesitating, I’m afraid she really might die. If that happens, the master of Valorcrest Auctions definitely won’t let us off." Gavin said.

Evan hesitated, glanced at Gavin, and said, "How about this—you feed her instead. She’s unconscious anyway, she won’t know, and don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone."

Gavin immediately protested, "Boss Evan, I’m a married man—I’m devoted to my wife! Don’t even think about dragging me into this. If you really want me to do it, you might as well just kill me now."

Evan laughed, "So you’re a lovesick fool, huh? I never would’ve guessed. Your wife isn’t as pretty as Lynn, right? Besides, I’m not asking you to marry her—maybe even if you wanted to, she wouldn’t agree."

"No means no! No matter what you say, I’m not doing it. Just give up already!" Gavin refused flatly, his attitude firm as a rock.

Evan suddenly couldn’t laugh anymore. This glorious yet awkward task had landed squarely on his own shoulders. He wasn’t sure if he was lucky or just plain unlucky, and could only look helplessly up at the sky.

"Boss Evan, time’s running out. Look at Lynn—she’s getting weaker by the minute. If you don’t hurry, she really might not make it." Gavin urged.

"Quit rushing me! I’m trying to figure something out here." Evan was thoroughly frustrated—he hadn’t even sorted out his own situation, and now this. After taking a deep breath, he said, "Bring her over and put her on my lap. If you dare leak even a word of this, I swear I’ll skin you alive."

Evan took the Spirit Cloud Herb Gavin handed him and slowly chewed it up. Gavin gently laid Lynn across Evan’s lap, facing him.

Evan glanced at Lynn—her face was as pale as paper, and her breathing was so weak she really might die any minute. Hardening his heart, he gently pried her lips open with his hand and pressed his own mouth to hers.

He transferred the chewed herb and his own saliva into her mouth. It sounded simple, but in reality it was incredibly hard—especially since he was so weak he could barely move.

By the time he’d finished transferring all the medicine into Lynn’s mouth, he realized his clothes were soaked with sweat.

Just as he was about to pull away, he saw Lynn’s tightly closed eyes suddenly open, filled with shock and unease.

The sight nearly scared Evan out of his wits. His supporting arm dropped unconsciously—and, in the most comedic twist, landed right on something soft yet firm. All he could think was: wow, she’s even bigger than any girl I’ve ever been close with.

But he quickly realized this was a forbidden zone for any guy and snatched his hand back, his face burning hot with embarrassment.

Lynn seemed to notice the strange taste in her mouth and instinctively swallowed it. Then, in a weak voice, she said, "Big brother, thank you!"

Right now, Evan honestly wanted to crawl into a hole and disappear. This was just too humiliating.

"N-no need," Evan stammered, not knowing how to respond—especially with Lynn still lying across his lap. When he glanced down, the spot his hand had just touched stood out vividly, like a rolling wave.

Evan gently helped Lynn sit up and asked, "What happened to your injuries? Why are they so serious?"

Gavin looked at Lynn in confusion too. "She shouldn’t have woken up so soon… What’s going on? Is it because of that herb? There’s no way it’s that miraculous, right?"

Lynn slowly moved off Evan’s lap and said, "My injuries are serious, but not life-threatening. I just burned through too much demonic qi and couldn’t stabilize my wounds, so I passed out."

"But just now, I suddenly felt a strange medicinal power appear in my dantian, condensing into threads of fresh demonic qi, so I woke up—and saw you, big brother, taking advantage of me."

Her words instantly left Evan utterly speechless. He wanted to defend himself, but had no idea where to start. His face was a mess of complicated emotions.

Seeing Evan so flustered, Lynn added, "Don’t mind it, big brother—I’m just messing with you. Even if you really wanted me, I’d accept willingly, no regrets. All for Selena’s sake. You understand, right?"

Each line was more shocking than the last. Evan felt like he could barely breathe—if she kept going, he might just die of embarrassment.

"Gavin, take Lynn somewhere hidden so she can recover. We can’t keep traveling like this. When we get back, clean up the bodies—and don’t waste whatever’s in those storage belts." Evan immediately changed the subject, determined to keep his distance. Any more talk and he might really die of shame. Demon girls really do handle things differently.

Gavin led Lynn to a secluded spot in the nearby woods, while Evan quietly checked his own condition.

He found that about half his Chaos Qi was still circulating in his Earth Star Pellet, but he couldn’t mobilize it at all. It was strange, especially since his meridians felt perfectly clear.

"Luna, what’s happening to me? Why am I like this?" Evan asked anxiously. Right now he felt like a total cripple.

"There’s only one reason for this: you used the Timewheel Bracelet. Its power temporarily sealed your body’s functions and shaved ten years off your lifespan," Luna said.

Evan didn’t quite understand, but before he could ask, Luna continued, "This is the price for using the Timewheel Bracelet. It’s way too heaven-defying, so you have to pay something—your life.

I remember the bracelet isn’t truly unlimited. First use costs ten years, second use fifty, third use about a hundred—and as for the fourth, even I’m not sure.

No one’s ever used it a fourth time. By now, your real age is probably twenty-eight, but because of your special physique, you don’t look it.

The more Evan listened, the more alarmed he got. If he used it again, he’d be a seventy-year-old man! No way was he touching that thing recklessly again.

"How long will I be like this? I can’t stay crippled forever, right?" Evan asked, worried.

"You’ll probably recover in a day or two. Don’t stress about it. Next time, don’t be so impulsive. When you’re back to normal, remember to recharge the Timewheel Bracelet with Stellar Power. Now stop bothering me, you troublemaker," Luna said.

Evan wanted to argue but didn’t know how. Just then, Gavin walked over and said, "Boss Evan, I’ve cleaned up the last guy. Here are their storage belts."

"You hold onto them for now. Help me up—I’m still too weak to move," Evan said.

As Gavin helped Evan up, a sudden cry from Lynn echoed from the woods, startling them both. "Quick, go see what’s happened…"
