Selena Meets Yvonne Xuan

1/19/2026

Selena Yale was intimately familiar with Frostbane Sect’s underground secret chamber. It was here that she first witnessed Evan Chu’s terrifying defensive power. Now, seeing Evan transformed into a golden dragon, memories flooded back, and she couldn’t help but feel a surge of emotion.

She remembered the entrance to the secret chamber was hidden near the pool, right beside the artificial rockery and the pavilion. Back then, she and Evan had spent ages searching for the mechanism to open it, but this time, she found it almost instantly.

Once Selena Yale pressed the hidden switch, a stone gate slid open in the rockery. Because Heaven Ape’s real body was far too large to fit inside, he had to transform into human form. Together with Selena and Selena Yale, he helped carry Evan Chu’s elongated golden dragon body into the passage.

Evan’s body was now a golden dragon—so long that carrying him in their arms or on their backs was out of the question. After they entered the secret chamber, Selena Yale turned to Heaven Ape and said, “Let’s head out. Selena can stay and take care of him. We need to guard the entrance and make sure no outsiders disturb Evan’s transformation. I’m counting on you for this crucial task.”

Heaven Ape nodded solemnly. “As long as Master comes through this safely, I’d guard him for a hundred years without regret.”

“Don’t jinx it! If Evan really stays in there for a hundred years, that’d be a disaster. I’m hoping he snaps out of it right now.” Selena Yale shot Heaven Ape a look. She knew his words came from loyalty, and anyone willing to guard Evan for a century had feelings deeper than most could imagine.

After Selena Yale and Heaven Ape left, only Selena and Evan remained in the vast underground secret chamber. Evan lay motionless on the floor, and Selena felt utterly helpless.

After a while, Selena called out to the empty chamber, “Hey! What am I supposed to do next? Am I really just supposed to sit here and wait for him to wake up?”

She waited and waited, but no voice echoed in her mind. Selena felt lost. Turning to Evan’s golden dragon body, she grumbled, “You never let anyone have a moment’s peace. Ever since I met you it’s been one reckless stunt after another, never thinking about the consequences. When will you finally grow up? You’re responsible for several women now, you know!”

“Don’t scold him. He can’t hear a word you’re saying right now. Just wait quietly for him to wake up. This disaster might turn out to be a blessing in disguise—and you should be ready to give him a child!” The mysterious woman’s voice echoed in Selena’s mind once again.

Just as Selena was about to ask, a blinding white light erupted from Evan Chu’s dragon body. In the next instant, a girl dressed in flowing white appeared before her. The girl's figure was hazy and ethereal, so beautiful and unreal it was as if she’d stepped out of a dream.

Selena froze, stunned. This girl’s beauty actually surpassed her own by a margin, and her temperament was so lofty and mysterious that Selena couldn’t help but feel utterly inferior.

“Who are you, really? Why are you inside Evan’s body? Is it because of you that he’s become like this?” Selena stared at the girl, her voice trembling with suspicion and awe. This wasn’t just a peerless beauty—her strength was terrifyingly unfathomable.

The white-clothed girl smiled calmly. “Didn’t I already tell you? I’m his woman—his very first woman. Right now, I’m just a soul-body, but once Evan breaks through to the right realm, he’ll be able to restore my physical form. For now, I live inside him.”

Selena knew exactly what a soul-body was, but the thought that Luna had always been inside Evan’s body left her deeply shaken. That meant Luna had witnessed everything Evan had ever done or said—nothing was hidden from her.

She remembered the wild battle between Evan and Serena on their wedding night—the passionate cries, the gasping breaths, the feverish sounds that made even her own heart race. Luna had witnessed all of it, right at zero distance. That was enough to break anyone’s composure.

In other words, in front of Luna, neither Evan nor any of his women had any secrets at all. The thought sent a chill down Selena’s spine.

Quickly regaining her composure, Selena pressed, “So what do we actually need to do for him now? Don’t tell me we’re just going to stand here and chat!”

The girl was, of course, Luna—the Sword Spirit. She glanced at Selena and smiled. “Just watching is enough for you. Soon, I’ll help Evan complete the fusion between his consciousness and the golden dragon soul inside him. When that succeeds, he’ll gain some of the Dragon Clan’s inherited memories. As his strength grows, more memories will awaken, until he can truly exist as both a man and a golden dragon. It won’t be just a beast illusion—it’ll be real transformation, mutual and complete.”

A person who could truly become a dragon—or a dragon who could truly become a person. Selena had never heard of anything so miraculous, and yet it was happening to the man she loved.

Blushing, Selena asked, “So what did you mean about me having his child?” Only now did she realize Luna’s strength was far beyond anything she’d imagined.

“When Evan wakes, he’ll need a woman’s yin qi, because his Pure Yang Qi will be overflowing. And this time, he’ll also release an exceptionally pure energy seed. If that seed enters a woman’s body, she’ll definitely become pregnant.

In other words, you only need to sleep with him once and you’ll have a child. Didn’t you say you wanted to bear his child? This is your best chance—make sure you seize it.” Luna teased.

Selena’s heart surged with excitement. She vividly remembered the visions the Demonic Realm’s diviners had shown her before she left—Evan Chu becoming master of the Demonic Realm, with her and a child by his side. That child was hers and Evan’s, and now she was certain it would be the result of this union.

Seeing Selena fall silent, Luna walked over to Evan’s dragon form. Her hand, smooth as jade, glimmered with white light as she pressed it to Evan’s dragon head. Instantly, a six-pointed star appeared above his head.

Inside the star, countless runes began to spin, faster and faster, until they all poured into Evan’s mind. Throughout the process, white light streamed steadily from Luna’s hand, never faltering.

At last, Luna turned to Selena and said, “In half an hour, Evan will wake up. What happens then is up to you. My soul power is nearly spent—I need to rest.”

“What’s your name?” Selena asked Luna at once.

“Xuanyuan Yueyan—but you can call me Luna, or ‘Sister Luna.’ That’s what Evan always calls me.” With a flash of white light, Luna vanished from Selena’s sight.

Selena stood in the center of the secret chamber, feeling as if she’d just woken from a dream. But she knew it was real—this woman called Xuanyuan Yueyan was definitely a supreme powerhouse, very likely someone tied to the ancient Frostbane legend. All that was left was to wait for Evan’s slow awakening…
