The Curtain Finally Falls

"Allen..."

Mia Liao's hand was still trembling, but before she could pull Allen Ju into her arms, Grace Liu had already stepped in front of her.

"You're no longer Allen's friend, so, Mia, please respect yourself."

Grace Liu spoke with utmost seriousness, stretching out both arms like a mother hen shielding her chicks.

Mia Liao's body trembled as she looked at Allen Ju.

Allen reached out and gently ruffled Grace Liu's hair, indulgently, but didn't say anything to stop her.

"Third Young Master Ju! Please, my sister just wasn't feeling well today, so her words were a bit careless. If she said anything wrong, please don't take it to heart!"

At this moment, Kyle Liu stepped forward, looking anxious: "Besides, you've been friends with my sister since childhood. There's no reason to let such a small matter blow up like this."

As he spoke, Kyle couldn't help but take several steps forward, standing in front of Grace Liu, eager to push her aside.

"What does Third Young Master Ju's decision have to do with you?"

Zheng Qiucai kicked Liu Kunyu to the ground, his gaze full of undisguised disgust.

In the past, he let it go for the sake of Ju Xing'an; even when Liu Kunyu set him up, he didn't say much.

Now that Ju Xing'an intends to sever ties with Liu Mian, Liu Kunyu feels he can't survive here anymore.

Truth be told, last time Liu Kunyu not only lost Zheng Qiucai's twenty million, but also ended up owing a lot more.

He came back this time hoping Ju Xing'an, for Liu Mian's sake, would help him out and get him through the crisis.

"You can't do this! Third Young Master! You can't do this!"

Liu Kunyu, pale-faced and knocked to the ground, kept howling there.

But no one paid him any mind.

Ju Xing'an glanced at Night Cold and Night Edge, both with broken limbs, then looked at the grim-faced Celia Xu.

"They came with you. Since that's the case, please pass the message to whoever can make the call."

"He's my friend. I'm sorry for what happened tonight. If there's anything I can do, just let me know."

"But please don't touch my friends."

Ju Xing'an spoke in a deep voice.

"Can your family handle the consequences?"

Celia Xu looked at Lin Yi, then at Ju Xing'an, her face alternating between green and pale. She clenched her fists. "You should know how much weight Nightstar carries."

The atmosphere grew tense.

Xu Shifeng, as a founding hero, had considerable influence, but Nightstar was always fiercely independent.

Now, with Night Cold and Night Edge crippled in public, if Nightstar's wrath was truly provoked, even the Ju family would be in deep trouble.

"I understand."

Ju Xing'an nodded. "But the fault isn't with my friend."

"Nightstar's two stepped in because you were bullied by the Tiger Special Forces. That was their loyalty."

"Lin Yi stepped in because the Tiger Special Forces and Zi Ang were bullied by Nightstar's duo. They're also my friends, and that's Lin Yi's loyalty to me and my friends."

"It looks like no one's at fault, but the cause was you attacking the Tiger Special Forces first. So the blame's on you."

Ju Xing'an's words, peeling back the layers, made Celia Xu's face change again and again.

But she really had no way to refute him.

It all started when Celia Xu was egged on by Tai Yuan to attack Wu Zhanjun, who was from the Tiger Special Forces.

Things got complicated.

Night Cold and Night Edge's identities were clear, and behind Ju Xing'an stood Bifang Zheng, Zheng Qiucai, and other second-generation heirs.

If these two forces really clashed over someone named Lin Yi, it would be the talk of the town.

For a moment, Celia Xu gritted her teeth in silence, while Ju Xing'an remained quiet.

Everyone's gaze lingered, unconsciously sizing up Evan Lin, who stood quietly there.

Evan Lin was calm inside, not the slightest bit flustered.

"I'll report everything that happened tonight truthfully. You all should be mentally prepared!"

Celia Xu took a deep breath, gave Allen Ju and his group a long look, pausing briefly when she saw Martin Wu, but quickly looked away.

"And you."

She then looked at Evan Lin, her gaze deep. "Tonight, you got lucky—pulled out a massive backing. Otherwise, just based on what you did just now, you probably..."

Celia Xu left the rest unsaid.

"Take care of yourself!"

After leaving those words, she helped Night Cold up, then supported Night Edge, whose leg was broken, and slowly led them out.

Everyone watched Celia Xu and her companions depart.

They arrived in such glory, but left so dejected.

It couldn't help but make people sigh.

Most importantly, after tonight, there may be serious friction between the Ju family and Nightstar.

But how things will ultimately play out, no one can say for sure.

After Celia Xu and her group left, the atmosphere remained tense.

Tyler Tai and Calvin Tai looked grim, Mia Liao was dazed, and Kyle Liu still hadn't gotten up from the floor.

Charles Cheng shrank back, having hoped to use Mia Liao to latch onto Allen Ju's banner and make some money, but now that hope was dashed.

Sylvia Xia looked at Evan Lin, who was still holding hands with Selina Wu, her expression extremely complicated.

Evan Lin acted twice tonight, each time clean and decisive.

The boy they once dismissed—what does he have now?

He has the backing of Allen Ju and the other heirs.

He possesses terrifying, unfathomable strength.

These two points already put him above every peer present.

Evan Lin.

Sylvia Xia mulled over those two words.

It was obvious—even without thinking—that those two words might shake all of Beijing in the future.

Of course, the key is whether Evan Lin and the Ju family can withstand Nightstar's wrath first.

He needs to survive Nightstar's fury.

If things escalate, it could even draw intervention from Moonshade—the organization above Nightstar.

Moonshade...

That would be something even the Ju family couldn't handle.

Everyone present had their own thoughts.

Even with the Ju family's prestige, facing Nightstar—and especially Moonshade—would make anyone feel powerless.

The incident was over.

Before leaving, Allen Ju glanced one last time at Mia Liao, who stood frozen, dazed, and haggard, then turned away without hesitation.

He slung his arm around Evan Lin's shoulders, swaggering out of Yannan Club with Martin Wu and the others.

Once they left, Mia Liao finally couldn't hold back and broke down crying.

But this time, not a single person stepped up to comfort her.

Everyone instinctively kept their distance.

And inside Yannan Club, the name Evan Lin became the hottest topic of conversation.
