At the very instant that voice rang out, the Old Ancestor was struck by an utterly unprecedented force—his entire being lost control, inside and out, as if he’d been completely locked down!
In that moment, he collapsed entirely—a single twitch was impossible, his whole body on the verge of shattering.
"No, no!" The Old Ancestor screamed, pure terror in his voice. He was totally panicking—this was a guy whose realm was literally 'sharing lifespan with Heaven and Earth,' a level that’s supposed to be absolutely untouchable, basically the top dog in Immortal City. No one should be able to shake him, ever. But now that endless pressure was crashing down, and he was freaking out hard!
Right then, that light-shadow boomed out: "Today is your death date. You don’t get a choice!"
As those words dropped, wave after wave of raw power blasted out. It looked plain, not flashy at all, but the force was off the charts—no one could withstand it. Under that barrage, the Heaven-Earth Eternal Old Ancestor started falling apart piece by piece, inside and out. Even Ryan Ling was gaping, totally stunned by how insane this power was. There wasn’t much of it, but it was already at a never-before-seen Immortal Lord level, maybe even a bit beyond!
Even Ryan was blown away, scalp tingling like he’d been hit by lightning—he felt so hyped he could explode!
Now the Old Ancestor was begging for mercy. Getting to this realm took him centuries—who knows how many life-or-death disasters he’d survived? But under that light-shadow’s brutal assault, he was about to drop dead. Even the biggest heart would snap here; he was losing it, totally falling apart!
And now, the whole world’s qi was being whipped up by that light-shadow—everything was swirling around Ryan.
"Die!" Ryan roared, voice dripping with savage intent. In a split second, the Old Ancestor’s body finally started to crack—turns out, even if you share lifespan with Heaven and Earth, your time can run out!
"No, no, I don’t want to die, I really don’t want to die!" the Old Ancestor screamed, voice nearly gone. But at this point, that light-shadow wasn’t giving him even a shred of mercy.
Suddenly there was a deafening boom—the Old Ancestor exploded, inside and out. That once-mighty body lost all its defenses and blew apart, every last bit of vitality snuffed out. The stench of death and decay wrapped him up completely!
That top-tier Heaven-Earth Eternal expert was totally toast!
His huge body was being stripped away bit by bit, reeking like crazy, rotting inside and out—everything was hitting the end!
At that moment, the light-shadow glanced at Ryan. No words, but Ryan instantly got the message—he wanted Ryan to absorb all the Old Ancestor’s qi and essence. Suck it dry, max out the gains!
No way Ryan would hesitate. He took a deep breath and started devouring like mad—the Old Ancestor was totally losing it, all his qi flooding straight into Ryan. The guy was basically out of life and energy, everything was being claimed by Ryan!
"I—I really don’t want to die!" the Old Ancestor cried again, but now it wasn’t his voice—it was his soul screaming. He was begging for his life with everything he had!
But as he howled, the light-shadow unleashed its strongest strike ever—nothing like it before or after! The world shattered, sun and moon went dark, everything just blew up!
That insanely powerful Old Ancestor finally cracked for good—body and soul exploded, totally wiped out. And all of it went straight into Ryan!
Ryan didn’t even pause—he started brewing all that power, which surged into him like endless roots. His whole body felt insanely good, inside and out, and his strength shot up hard. He’d already hit peak Immortal King, but with the Heaven-Earth Eternal boost, his power leveled up like crazy—bam, straight to Immortal King great-perfection!
Ryan felt absolutely amazing—he’d never reached this level before! Now he had the strongest Immortal King power, his Saint King strength was maxed out, and he was so hyped it was unreal. It felt like he was wrapping up the whole world!
Ryan knew exactly what this feeling meant—it was the Heaven-Earth Eternal realm. Only after touching that level do you get the sensation of being wrapped up by the world. The Old Ancestor had that aura, so Ryan got a hint of it now. But he was clear: just because he devoured the Old Ancestor’s realm, there was no way he’d instantly reach full Heaven-Earth Eternal. That road is way too long!

So Ryan wasn’t in a rush. Just hitting this level today was enough to get him seriously hyped!
"Nice, you’re even stronger than I thought! You actually managed to refine the Old Ancestor’s power this fast—impressive! I bet this life you’ll surpass me!" The light-shadow called out, voice full of warmth but still insanely powerful.
Ryan was buzzing when he heard that. He knew better than anyone—after getting all that power, he felt like a whole new person, maxed-out and loving it. Even if the Old Ancestor showed up for real, Ryan could face him head-on. Plus, he sensed that although the Old Ancestor had reached Heaven-Earth Eternal, he wasn’t actually that strong—probably just broke through!
As soon as the light-shadow finished, he sighed and vanished into the air. It was like he finally trusted Ryan to handle what he’d left unfinished last time around!
Ryan felt totally clear-headed now—fresher than ever!
He was more confident than ever. The instant the Old Ancestor was wiped out and the light-shadow vanished, Ryan became the number one powerhouse in Immortal City—no one could touch him!
"Ryan, this is amazing—you’ve finally made it to the top!" Lynn Long came over, her eyes shining with excitement.
"Lynn, you’re now the undisputed Elysium Saintess—no one can challenge you anymore!" Ryan nodded. Immortal City’s affairs were all settled; nothing could change that now.
Lynn Long nodded, totally clear on the situation. Elysium was about to change—inside and out, things would finally settle down.
With Elysium’s chaos finally over, Ryan knew he had two big goals. First: do whatever it takes to break into the Heaven-Earth Eternal realm—only then will he truly hold all the cards. Second: head for even bigger cities, like Earth City and Heaven City, where the strongest rivals are waiting. And there’s his old nemesis, Heaven-Earth Sect—oddly missing from this whole Elysium mess. Who knows if that’s good or bad!
Plus, there’s one more thing: those shadowy enemies from his last life, the ones who went all out to take him down. They might not know he’s reincarnated yet, or that he’s reclaimed some past-life power—but as he keeps rising, they’ll figure it out fast. And Ryan knows: those guys are the real big shots!
Ryan had been through a lot. Even after hitting Heaven-Earth Eternal and becoming a powerhouse, he knew that in front of the true elites, he was still small-time. Above Heaven-Earth Eternal is Immortal Lord, and above that, Immortal Emperor—the real top of the top. But he was getting closer every day. He’d already devoured his past-life arm, leg, and torso, and other pieces were on the way. Once he’s whole again, his power will skyrocket!
But it’s best to keep all this under wraps!
After the Old Ancestor was fully absorbed, Immortal City went totally quiet. About seven days later, a golden talisman dropped from the sky, announcing a joint peak tournament by Earth City and Heaven City—365 cities battling for the top!
The strongest contestants will be chosen to enter the Heavenly Palace above Heaven City—becoming true immortal leaders!
Just hearing 'Heavenly Palace' got Lynn Long fired up. She blurted, "The Heavenly Palace is the absolute top spot in all Heaven City—totally out of reach for most people. Even if you make it to Heaven City, you’re not truly supreme. Only those who reach the Heavenly Palace are the real deal. If you get there, your cultivation will rocket up—no question!"
Lynn Long was clearly obsessed with the Heavenly Palace—she totally longed for it. And honestly, who wouldn’t?
With the 365 Cities Tournament about to start, Elysium was needed in Immortal City. Even though Elysium had been rocked by huge changes, the outside world didn’t seem to know. Earth City and Heaven City were running the tournament, and all eyes were on the competition—no one noticed Ryan’s big moves at all!
This kind of transformation was absolutely a good thing for Ryan. Honestly, he’d been a little worried—the sheer scale of that last battle was just nuts. He’d slaughtered a bunch of Immortal Kings, and now he’d straight-up wiped out a Heaven-Earth Eternal powerhouse. That’s the kind of thing you can barely even imagine!

And somehow, nobody had noticed any of it. That made things way easier going forward. Ryan could now enter the tournament as the Elysium Sect’s Saint King, with Lynn Long at his side—nobody would suspect a thing!
"That’s settled, then. In three days, once everything in Immortal City’s wrapped up, we’ll head out for the tournament!" Ryan knew better than anyone—the city was stable, nothing left to tie him down. Being the Elysium Sect’s Saint King was just a passing title to him, nothing worth clinging to. Real strength was all he cared about. More importantly, he still needed to recover the rest of his body’s key pieces. If he could fuse them all, his power would skyrocket—like, game-breaking levels of strong. But only by heading to Earth City or Heaven City would he get that kind of breakthrough; nowhere else would cut it.
Lynn Long, hearing Ryan’s plan, instantly relaxed. She knew just as well—staying in Immortal City wasn’t going to help her break through. Only by sticking with Ryan could she reach new heights. And besides Lynn, there was Ryan’s handmaid Lily. She hadn’t done much in Immortal City, but knowing her was a crucial clue for tracking down the rest of his body. Only by bringing her along could Ryan hope for bigger breakthroughs!
The group immediately started prepping. In Ryan’s eyes, the other two cities were definitely even tougher than Immortal City. The top dog here was a Heaven-Earth Eternal Old Ancestor, but the other cities were bound to have Immortal Lords, maybe even Immortal Emperors—monsters way scarier than anything here. Only by clashing with those kinds of heavyweights, fighting and grinding, could Ryan level up like crazy. There was no other choice!
Three days flew by. Immortal City was back to its old self—no sign of battle anywhere. The Elysium Sect had lost plenty of experts, but Ryan’s strength now touched the heavens. He’d already hit Immortal King great-perfection, and with that kind of power, he could boost anyone’s realm to Immortal King in a heartbeat. Of course, he wasn’t handing out upgrades for free—only his closest allies got the power-up. Take Marcus Wu from War City, for example: loyal to a fault, and now that War City was fully stabilized, Ryan could summon him back to Immortal City to run the Elysium Sect’s operations. Ryan even bumped Marcus up to Immortal King, and a few other trusted folks got pushed to Immortal King or Saint Immortal too!
Once everything was sorted, Ryan could finally relax. The big Immortal World tournament was just around the corner—a once-in-a-millennium showdown between cities. Sure, Ryan was insanely strong now, but he knew there was always a bigger fish. Some cities might lag behind Immortal City, but they were packed with experts—tons of Immortal Kings, and even Heaven-Earth Eternal monsters. Ryan could handle most Heaven-Earth Eternal types, but if he ran into a late-stage Eternal, even he’d be outmatched. He knew exactly where he stood!
"Let’s head out! No need to make a scene—just blend in as regular folks, hit up Earth City first, and scope out how big this tournament really is!" Lynn chimed in, sticking close. She’d just hit peak Immortal King herself, and standing next to Ryan, they looked like a perfect pair. But they made sure to hide their real power, showing only Saint Immortal-level cultivation.
"Let’s go!" Ryan didn’t hesitate. Given the situation, he was dead-set on heading straight for that area. He had a hunch there were all kinds of mysterious treasures there. His past life wasn’t just about his body—there were all sorts of legendary gear scattered around. If he could recover it all, his power would shoot up even more!
The two of them traveled at insane speed. Honestly, the distance between Immortal City and Earth City wasn’t that far. In just half a day they arrived, but given their current power and velocity, they’d crossed a distance normal folks couldn’t even begin to calculate!
Earth City was already packed with crowds, most of them top-tier experts. Ryan could instantly sense the Immortal King aura all around—some were seriously powerful, total tournament favorites. Of course, behind these elites lurked even scarier factions, like Heaven-Earth Eternal heavyweights, and the city itself housed Immortal Lord-level monsters. Even Ryan wouldn’t mess with those guys lightly, so keeping a low profile here was 100% the right move.
"Let’s head inside and play it by ear!" Ryan glanced at Lynn, who nodded without saying much. The two slipped into the city without a hitch—the tournament arena was already set up in the center, guarded by a ton of experts.
"Up ahead should be our Elysium Sect branch. Let’s crash there first." Lynn pointed to a sign as they reached the eastern part of the city. The sign said Elysium Sect, but it didn’t look nearly as imposing as expected—it actually gave off a kinda wimpy vibe. Elysium might be a big deal, but here in Earth City, it clearly didn’t have the same clout as back in Immortal City.
"Who are you guys?" As Lynn knocked, a timid teenager poked his head out, eyes darting around like he was scared someone might start trouble. He spoke so softly it was almost a whisper—definitely not the bold type.
"Who am I? Can’t you tell?" Lynn dropped all pretense—this was her turf, so she went full Saintess mode. The moment the kid saw her, he was totally shocked and immediately started shouting.
"Saintess! I can’t believe it—this is amazing! I thought you were..." The kid was over the moon, and just as he finished, an old man came out, voice trembling with excitement as he looked at Lynn.
"Unbelievable, this is just the best! We actually get to see you again—our Elysium Sect is finally saved!"
As soon as the old man finished, Lynn grabbed his hand. "Uncle Long, did something happen to our branch here?"
From Lynn’s tone, it was clear she knew this elder well.
