"Saintess, it's truly a relief to see you! The people in Earth City think our Elysium Sect is finished. They've been harassing us nonstop, trying to drive us out completely. We've barely managed to hold on—if you hadn't come, I'm afraid this branch hall would be lost!" Uncle Long cried out, clearly having suffered greatly; he looked utterly worn out, inside and out.
"There's actually something like this going on?" Lynn Long was instantly furious. Even though Earth City isn't Elysium Sect's territory, Elysium's power in the Immortal World is no joke—with so many Immortal Kings backing them and even Heaven-Earth Eternal experts. Earth City has its own top forces, but bullying us like this is way out of line.
"It's absolutely true! Those people are total maniacs—arrogant beyond belief, acting like we're nothing. It's almost like they know our sect suffered some huge disaster!" Uncle Long said anxiously, a puzzled look on his face as he glanced at Lynn Long.
Lynn Long smiled slightly, then looked over at Ryan Ling. This development was unexpected even for her, but Ryan—being sharp as ever—instantly realized that the main Elysium Sect must've been taken over by outsiders. Otherwise, this Earth City branch wouldn't be attacked so easily!
"Looks like the enemy's claws have already reached over—and all without making a sound!" Ryan Ling felt a chill. They must already know about the upheaval in Elysium Sect. Just thinking about it made Ryan feel like a bunch of eyes were watching him, and it was seriously annoying!
But then Ryan Ling thought it through: maybe they've noticed something, but definitely not the details. Otherwise, they'd have spotted him entering Earth City for sure. Clearly, everyone's attention is still on the big war in the Immortal World, so nobody's really worrying about Elysium's troubles. If they were, things wouldn't look like this!
"Don't worry, now that we're here, nothing will happen to you!" Lynn Long quickly reassured him, her gaze full of determination and not a hint of hesitation. For one, her own power had skyrocketed—unprecedented, really. With Ryan Ling's help, she'd hit peak Immortal King standards. Even in Earth City, she was no pushover. But more than that, she had total confidence because Ryan was at her side. His strength now was off the charts; forget regular experts, even late-stage Heaven-Earth Eternal bigshots wouldn't necessarily beat him!
So, with the two of them showing up at this Elysium branch, anyone in Earth City who tries to mess with them is basically asking to die!
"Good, good!" Uncle Long nodded eagerly. Lynn Long's words instantly gave him backbone; his nerves eased up and his face looked much better.
Because of all the chaos, most of the people who used to be here had already run away—clearly scared of Earth City's revenge. Right now, only Uncle Long and his grandson, Tiger, were left holding down the fort. If Ryan Ling and Lynn Long hadn't come today, they definitely wouldn't last three more days!
“Wait, there’s actually a rule like that?” Ryan blinked, totally speechless. But seeing Lynn wasn’t joking, he scratched his head, figured he was just as tired anyway, and that his own powers needed venting. So he pulled Lynn right into his arms!
All night long, thunder and rain—passion erupted again in Earth City!
After that wild night, Ryan felt his power shoot up again. His Immortal King great-perfection realm grew even more solid, and the Heaven-Earth Eternal aura already seeded inside him got a huge boost. In just a blink, Ryan felt he’d taken another giant step toward the Heaven-Earth Eternal realm!
Lynn wasn’t left out either—her own peak Immortal King realm stabilized, and her Saintess aura grew even stronger. Right now, she looked like a celestial goddess descended from the heavens, so gorgeous you couldn’t help but stare. Even Ryan had to swallow when he saw her; clearly, Lynn was getting more and more stunning!
“Saintess, you—you’re so beautiful!” As Lynn finished freshening up and stepped outside, little Tiger Long couldn’t help blurting out in awe.
“You little rascal!” Lynn shot back, but then burst out laughing. “Not bad, kid—you sure know how to talk!”
Ryan just smiled. After last night, Lynn’s whole vibe had leveled up big time. The fusion of Saint King and Saintess aura was no joke—the effect was massive, and nobody could deny it.
Ryan took a deep breath, feeling a flash of insight after their intense night. It was precious—some kind of Earth City essence—and he needed to sort it out. Right now, breaking through to the Heaven-Earth Eternal realm was his top priority; everything else came second.
But just as he sat down to meditate, the hall’s front doors were smashed open with a deafening crash. The force wasn’t anything special—just Saint Immortal-level—but the doors were flimsy after all this time. Under their brute strength, the whole thing shattered instantly!
A bunch of arrogant thugs swaggered right in, heads held high, full-on gang vibes. Their eyes were so cocky they barely looked at anyone—clearly, these were the jerks who’d been bullying the Elysium branch all along.
As the thugs burst in, little Tiger Long immediately dove for cover, clutching his grandpa Uncle Long in terror. He was totally freaked out.
“Little brat, still haven’t run off? Want me to castrate you right now?” One of the thugs sneered, baring his teeth at Tiger.
But the moment he spat those words, his eyes landed on Lynn. And just like that, every thug’s jaw dropped. To them, Lynn was unreal—so gorgeous it was hard to believe.
“Damn, she’s a literal goddess! Who knew a dump like this would have someone that fine? Unbelievable!”
“We hit the jackpot this time, boys. Alright, let me have some fun first!”
“Back off, it’s not your turn! I get first dibs—let me have her!”
...
Seeing Lynn, the intruders started shouting like maniacs, acting like she was already their prize—ready to grab her and do whatever they wanted.
Lynn’s fury hit the roof. Her face twisted with rage, and Ryan could tell she wasn’t scared of these idiots at all. To her, they were just ants—she could squash them without breaking a sweat.
Just as Ryan had that thought, Lynn finally made her move—and she didn’t hold back. With a series of deafening booms, three Saint Immortal thugs near her were instantly blasted to bits, bodies pulverized to dust. It was so shocking, nobody could believe their eyes!
“Big sis, you’re awesome!” Tiger cheered, totally blown away by Lynn’s power. Even Uncle Long shouted with joy—he’d been bullied by these thugs long enough, and now with Lynn backing him, he was thrilled.
The instant those three bullies were slaughtered, several voices rang out from outside.
“What the hell’s going on? Since when did the Elysium branch have such a monster? Get in there—kill them all, no survivors!” a rough voice bellowed. Four or five more burly men stormed in, all top-tier Saint Immortals, and outside, an Immortal King stood guard, confident he could crush any resistance.
To Lynn, these guys were just weaklings—not even worth the effort. Wiping them out would be a piece of cake.
“Kill! Kill! Kill!” the leader roared, shaking the whole hall. The burly men charged at Lynn, eyes full of murder—not a trace of mercy, just bloodlust.
Outside, the Immortal King was still excited, sure Lynn was just a Saint Immortal and no threat. In his eyes, she was nothing special—maybe a peak Saint Immortal at best. But he was dead wrong. Lynn’s power was off the charts.
In a flash, Lynn unleashed a crushing wave of power—sky and earth shook, light vanished, and everything was smothered by her aura. Her Immortal King qi erupted, instantly wiping out every Saint Immortal in front of her and yanking the outside Immortal King into the room like he weighed nothing. He was totally stunned, never expecting such a reversal. In a blink, he was nothing but an ant next to Lynn—utterly powerless.
“No way—who the hell are you?” the Immortal King screamed, unable to believe that the tiny Elysium branch hid a top-tier powerhouse. The shock hit him like a freight train.
“Who am I? I’m your auntie.” Lynn didn’t hesitate; with a single squeeze, a sickening crunch echoed out and the Immortal King’s head exploded. Brutal didn’t even begin to describe it.
“Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful!” Uncle Long shouted, thrilled beyond words. After all the humiliation he and Tiger had suffered, finally seeing Lynn avenge them was pure catharsis.
“Crap, she’s killed so many of us…” But one thug managed to slip away, trying to run for help. Lynn moved to stop him, but she was a split-second too late. Suddenly, a massive invisible hand burst out, grabbed the fleeing man, and crushed him to pulp—he didn’t even have time to scream.
“An absolute expert—no question!” Uncle Long gasped. Lynn was strong, but compared to whoever just moved, she was still a step behind. The one who’d acted was none other than Ryan Ling. Even more shocking, Ryan hadn’t even left his seat—nobody could figure out how he’d done it. His power was off the charts.
“Ryan, how’d you get so strong? I can’t even wrap my head around it!” Even Lynn couldn’t help exclaiming. She’d thought she was tough, but compared to Ryan, she was in a whole different league.
“It’s all thanks to you!” Ryan shot her a flirty grin, making Lynn blush with embarrassment.
“Sir, forgive me for not recognizing greatness! I never imagined your strength, or that you’d have the Saint King’s aura. Please accept my humble respect!” Without hesitation, Uncle Long knelt before Ryan, completely awed by his power.
“No need for that, old man. We’re on the same team now. Don’t worry—anyone who tries to mess with you, I’ll wipe them out, no survivors!” Ryan knew that even though they’d crushed these thugs, the real gang was still out there. He was certain they were just the tip of the iceberg—a local Earth City crew, probably backed by even bigger fish. Otherwise, they wouldn’t dare attack Elysium’s branch so crazily.
He didn’t know who was backing them yet, but since they’d already made a move, he’d just wipe them out completely—better to end the trouble now than let it drag on.
Only by erasing them for good could he truly show his strength. Sure, his main goal was leveling up his power, but with the big Immortal World tournament coming, he had to represent Elysium. Even though they’d just arrived in Earth City, a little slaughter to build reputation was essential. They weren’t just fighting for themselves—they carried the whole sect’s face. Elysium had been treated like a joke; now that they were here, it was time to get respect back!
“Ryan, what’s next? Should we chase them down tonight and finish the job?” Lynn called out, fired up. Since blood had already been spilled, why not go all the way? If they didn’t, the gang would just come back for more. Might as well strike first!
“Yeah, no need to hesitate—let’s follow the trail and wipe them out!” Ryan agreed, just as fired up. He wasn’t satisfied yet; part of him couldn’t wait to finish the job.
“Let’s go!” Lynn didn’t waste a second, striding out the door, and Ryan shot after her like lightning. Uncle Long could barely blink before they were gone.
Tracking the fleeing aura, they quickly arrived at a grand compound. Three bold characters hung over the gate—Twin Dragons Gang.
Inside, the gangsters were drinking and bragging, totally convinced the Elysium branch was toast and easy rewards were coming.
“Hell yeah, that was easy! All that’s left is to collect our reward—the Elysium branch is history!”
“Right, this is free meat—if we don’t eat it, it’s a waste! Drink up, brothers!”
...
Just as they were celebrating, a sudden, gut-wrenching scream tore through the room. One guy exploded on the spot, leaving only a human skin behind. The horror was unreal—he vanished in an instant.
“Who’s there? Is it a person or a ghost?” The survivors yelled, terrified. Some of them were tough, but nobody expected an invader who could kill like this. The fear in the room was palpable—whatever was coming was way beyond their league.
