Chapter 1073: Shadow Staff

The radiance condensed into a half-meter-wide orb of light, which slowly descended in front of Rafael. As the glow faded, a book seemingly forged from metal floated before him.

The book was at least forty centimeters long and nearly twenty centimeters thick, its cover inscribed with an ancient title in Nesserian Script.

"It's actually an alchemical magic book! The title reads 'Multiple Alchemical Array Construction Formula,' authored by Bill George."

Rafael, somewhat puzzled, picked up the magic book and flipped to the first page. There wasn't a single word inside—only countless runes and alchemical array structures. The runes and alchemical patterns kept shifting shape, appearing endlessly complex.

But after just one glance, Rafael's expression turned to shock. Without a second thought, he stashed the magic book away.

Standing nearby, Leon's pupils contracted sharply at the mention of Bill George.

How could Bill George's magic book be here? And it was the very 'Multiple Alchemical Array Construction Formula'—a formula that shouldn't exist for another three thousand years.

In fact, the future magitek warships that would conquer countless planes in Northend World were built upon the core technology developed from this very formula.

When this magic book finally surfaced three thousand years later, it sparked wars among more than a dozen factions—engulfing nearly every nation on the continent of Northend.

In the end, a deadly battle nearly broke out among top-tier Sky Rank powerhouses. Nineteen planes were destroyed as a result.

If not for the final peace talks, which led to the contents of the magic book being shared among all factions, those furious mages might have destroyed Northend World ahead of schedule...

The value of this magic book rivals that of a true Mythic Artifact. For an alchemical faction, it's worth even more than a Mythic Artifact.

However, this magic book seems incomplete. Even at Northend's peak, the full version of the Multiple Alchemical Array Construction Formula would be a magic book over a meter long and half a meter thick.

Though incomplete—and possibly containing technology beyond even Skyhold Fortress—it's still extremely difficult to comprehend. Yet for Rafael, its value far exceeds that of a top-tier Essence Relic.

With Rafael's example, everyone else quickly understood.

"Is this the reward?"

Someone asked uncertainly. Morgan was the first to rush forward, pressing his hand onto his Exclusive Magical Sigil without hesitation.

Instantly, the dormant golden liquid within the translucent pillar surged upward, rising to nearly three meters. As the liquid calmed, the massive wall radiated light again, and beams of light gathered into an orb that floated before Morgan.

As the orb's glow faded, a palm-sized scale appeared. At first glance, it looked like a dragon scale, but its diamond shape was covered in intricate patterns—naturally forming alchemical circuits that merged into a complete loop on both sides of the scale.

Seeing it was just a scale, Morgan looked a bit disappointed. He casually took the scale in hand, inspecting it from all sides but couldn't figure out what was so precious about it.

"That's a Void Behemoth Scale. An adult Void Behemoth is at least peak Sky Rank, and the strongest among them can even surpass Sky Rank—comparable to a demon overlord.

Their scales are natural Essence Relics—while lacking a relic spirit, their defensive power outstrips many lower-tier defensive artifacts. The material is unimaginably tough, impervious even to voidstorms. Have an alchemist forge it, and it's basically a second life.

Judging by the material, the owner of this scale was an exceptionally powerful Void Behemoth."

Lin Yun glanced at the scale, surprise flickering in his eyes. He'd thought such things couldn't exist in Northend World—yet here one was.

During Northend's era of grand colonization, countless magitek warships roamed the Endless Void, with Void Behemoths as the greatest threat—far deadlier than the harsh environment itself.

In the Sanctuary Tower at the end of the world, some of the main support structures were made from the bones of a Void Behemoth that surpassed Sky Rank.

Lin Yun casually explained the origin of the scale to Morgan. Not that Morgan couldn't figure it out himself—just channel some mana into it and the scale would automatically form a protective barrier, a natural magical relic.

Morgan beamed as he put the scale away. For someone so afraid of dying, a powerful defensive relic was exactly his kind of treasure.

Once Morgan was done, the others stepped up one by one, each finding their own Exclusive Magical Sigil. Whenever someone pressed their sigil, the golden liquid in the translucent pillar would surge upward.
