Can I Go on a Date With You

1/11/2026

After nearly forty days away from Riverstone City, Ian Song finally returned.

You know what they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder. As soon as he got back to Riverstone City, Ian headed straight for Shayan Jade Boutique to surprise Hannah Han—he didn’t tell her he was coming, wanting to catch her off guard.

Outside Shayan Jade Boutique.

The ground was covered with vibrant roses, arranged to spell out: I LOVE YOU.

Behind the flowers stood a tall, handsome young man in a high-end white suit, cradling a bouquet. Ten more stylish young men in black suits lined up a step behind him.

Behind them was a row of eleven identical white luxury cars.

Anyone with half a clue would know this was either a proposal or a public confession. Plus, this was a busy part of town, so a crowd had gathered to watch the spectacle. There were even a few cameramen filming the whole thing from every angle.

But to Ian, the whole scene felt oddly familiar.

It reminded him of that time Justin Nangong pulled the same stunt outside Saint Night High, trying to confess to Hannah. When she said no, he tried to drag her off by force.

Wait, is that guy in the white suit here to confess to Hannah too?

Ian’s face darkened. Damn it, I’ve only been gone a month and someone’s already trying to steal my girl.

He shot an unfriendly look at the flashy guy in the white suit.

Suddenly, an idea struck him. Ian snapped a photo of the man in the white suit and sent it to Nathan Nangong, then called to give some instructions.

Upstairs, in the boutique’s office area.

Hannah Han was flipping through the monthly financial report. Not long after Ian left, the boutique had its grand opening—thanks to Susan Su’s stellar promo work and their lineup of premium jade pieces.

On opening day, sales hit an eye-popping eighty million yuan.

Business cooled off a bit after the opening, but daily sales still hovered around ten million. After a month, total turnover had already broken the four hundred million mark.

When word of those numbers got out, the local jewelry scene was rocked.

Competitors were green with envy. As president, Hannah Han quickly became a household name—her fame even outshining Susan Su’s, since she was younger and more beautiful.

And when people found out Hannah had been a single high school teacher at Saint Night High before running the shop, every rich playboy and self-styled heartthrob in town got excited and started chasing her.
