But when Jason Chen tried to forcibly drag Ian Song away, he discovered that Ian seemed rooted to the ground—no matter how much strength he used, he couldn't budge him an inch.
"Someone help!"
Left with no choice, Jason Chen could only ask the others for help.
Immediately, another young man in a black suit came over and, together with Jason, grabbed one of Ian Song's arms each.
But to their frustration, even with both of them working together, they still couldn't move Ian Song at all.
"Hey, what are you two doing? Let go of me! If you mess up my date with my goddess, I won't forgive you!" Ian joked to Jason and the other guy.
"Date your damn self!"
With a curse, Jason Chen swung a slap at Ian Song.
But Ian dodged with a quick twist, broke free from their arms, and jumped aside, pointing at Jason: "I'm warning you, I've really trained in martial arts! If you try anything, I'll fight back!"
"Dongzi, let's go together—beat this brat!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Jason Chen called for the two of them to rush at Ian Song.
"Ah! They're hitting me! Help!"
Am I the one causing trouble? Come on, you guys are the ones stirring things up! Whatever, I'm done messing around with you. I'm off to ask my girl out!
Hannah Han, watching all this, was left speechless.
Felix Feng, on the other hand, looked increasingly gloomy.
Jason and Dongzi exchanged a glance and once again lunged at Ian Song from both sides, but just as they reached him, Ian dodged to the side yet again.
"You little punk, if you've got guts, stop running!" Jason shouted angrily.
Suddenly, Ian Song looked indignant. "Hmph! You can't put a price on love. Besides, Hannah's a billionaire—once I win her over, I'll have more money than I could ever spend. What's forty thousand to me?"
"So this guy wants to be a kept man? And he says it so shamelessly, so confidently!" Jason Chen felt his teeth ache, while the crowd looked on with open disdain.
At once, the eight black-suited youths spread out, working with Jason and Dongzi to form a circle and surround Ian Song.
Seeing Ian Song trapped inside their encirclement, Jason Chen couldn't help but grin smugly. "Kid, let's see you try to run now!"
"Just try and you'll see!" Ian replied playfully, his gaze sweeping over Felix Feng, who was also inside the circle.
Feeling Ian Song's gaze, Felix Feng had a vague sense of foreboding.
"Grab him!"
At the shout, all ten rushed forward, completely blocking off Ian Song's escape routes.
But unexpectedly, just as they were about to grab Ian, his figure suddenly ducked low and vanished from the circle.
A series of loud "bang bang" sounds followed—it was the ten men crashing into each other.
"Useless!"
Seeing that ten people still couldn't catch one guy, Felix Feng was clearly dissatisfied.
"Ha! I'm over here, come catch me!" Ian Song mocked, waving at Jason Chen and the others.
"Damn it, I'll beat you to death today, just watch!"
Jason Chen finally lost all reason, swinging his fists as he charged at Ian Song, aiming a punch at his cheek.
Bang!
He landed the hit, and Jason felt a surge of satisfaction.
But in the next instant, he was dumbfounded—he realized he'd hit Felix Feng, not Ian Song.
"Fe... Felix, how... why is it you!"
Felix Feng, clutching his cheek, glared fiercely at Jason Chen. "You idiot! Can you at least look before you hit someone?"
"Sorry, Felix, I'll be careful next time!" Jason apologized quickly, then glared viciously at Ian Song standing nearby.
At the same time, the other nine formed a circle again, surrounding Ian Song once more.
This time, they'd gotten smarter and didn't all rush in at once. Instead, they slowly tightened the circle.
"Grab him!"
Finally, the circle closed to less than a meter. All ten men suddenly sped up and charged at once.
"Ha! You little punk, I finally caught you!" Jason Chen grabbed an arm and laughed smugly.
"Did you really catch me? Take a closer look before you celebrate!"
A mocking voice came from not far away. Jason looked closely and realized they'd grabbed Felix Feng instead.
"What... what the heck is going on?"
Jason was stunned again. They were supposed to be surrounding Ian Song—how did it end up being Felix Feng?
Felix was dazed too—he'd already taken a hit earlier, so he'd deliberately tried to avoid trouble, but in a blink he found himself back in the middle of the circle.
"Felix, that kid's a bit weird. What should we do?" Jason Chen whispered, realizing something was off.
"Forget it! Just pay him to leave!" Felix Feng instinctively touched his bruised cheek and said, secretly deciding to settle the score with Ian Song later.
"Alright then!"
Jason Chen nodded, then took out a wad of cash and said to Ian Song, "As long as you stop causing trouble, this money is yours."
"Am I causing trouble? Clearly you guys are the ones making a scene!" Ian Song rolled his eyes. "Alright, I'm done playing with you. I'm going to date my goddess now!"
With that, Ian Song picked up his plastic bouquet and walked toward Hannah Han.
"Wait!" Jason Chen called out, quickly pulling out two more wads of cash. "Kid, don't be stupid. Take this thirty thousand and get lost!"
Seeing the thirty thousand, Ian Song looked thoughtful.
Thinking he was making progress, Jason Chen pulled out another wad of cash to make it forty thousand. "Don't think about it anymore—forty thousand, that's more than a year's salary!"
Suddenly, Ian Song's expression turned angry. "Hmph! My love can't be measured by money. Besides, Hannah is a billionaire—if I win her heart, I'll have endless cash. What does your forty thousand mean to me?"
"So this kid wants to be a kept man? And he says it so bluntly, so boldly!" Jason Chen felt a headache coming on, while the onlookers all showed looks of disdain.
At that moment, Felix Feng stepped up to Hannah Han, knelt on one knee, and solemnly declared, "Hannah, I am willing to protect you for my entire life. Please give me a chance!"
While Jason was still in a daze, Ian darted right up to Hannah, knelt on one knee with the plastic flowers, and declared just as loudly, "Hannah, will you support me for a lifetime? If you will, please accept this bouquet that's overflowing with my feelings."
"Those are plastic flowers, okay? You think we're blind or something?"
Someone in the crowd couldn't help but call out.
Hannah glanced at Felix, then at Ian, her face showing a hint of hesitation.
But in the next moment, to everyone's utter shock, she took the plastic bouquet from Ian, smiled, and said, "Alright, I promise you—I’ll support you for life!"
"What?"
"No way!"
The whole crowd was stunned. No one could believe Hannah Han actually picked a pretty boy who lived off a woman—this was just too wild!
"Haha, Hannah, I knew you'd say yes! Let's go, I want a fancy dinner—will you treat me?" Ian laughed triumphantly.
"Sure! Where do you want to eat?"
"I want to eat at the most expensive place. Oh, and I want to buy a car—can you get me one?"
"Of course!"
Watching Ian and Hannah walk away hand in hand, laughing and chatting, Felix finally couldn't take it anymore and smashed his bouquet to the ground in frustration.
