A Glass of Wine

2/14/2026

Victor Wu's lips curled into a smug smile.

He was about to turn and announce Serena's decision to everyone around.

Everyone present was a celebrity.

If Serena backed down today and let Yara have the chance, word would spread quickly.

Of course, it wouldn't be spun as Serena helping a junior and voluntarily giving up her chance.

Instead, they'd say Serena admitted she couldn't match Yara Song, and to make Gavin Yu's film more appealing and artistic, she humbled herself and stepped aside.

That way, it would deal a heavy blow to Serena's reputation and, indirectly, boost Yara Song.

Hey.

Just as Victor Wu turned, he suddenly heard the voice of the young man sitting nearby.

The voice was lazy, with a hint of casual indifference.

Victor Wu turned and saw Evan Lin still sitting on the sofa, watching him.

You calling me?

Victor Wu raised an eyebrow. "What do you want?"

His expression cooled—Serena had already agreed.

Victor Wu didn’t even bother to pay Evan Lin any mind.

His goal was already achieved. In fact, whether Victor Wu told the Li family about Serena Tong’s connection to Angel Epoch and Master Lin from Seacrest didn’t matter much.

The Li family could easily find out themselves.

As for those two photos—they were way too blurry. If the Li family really tried to find someone based on them, it wouldn’t be realistic.

Serena was just worried and confused—otherwise, she’d realize it if she calmed down and thought things through.

Victor Wu naturally thought Serena was a bit foolish for agreeing so easily.

Nothing, just wanted to ask—how many drinks have you had tonight?

Evan Lin spoke calmly.

Drinking?

Hearing Evan speak, Victor Wu was momentarily stunned.

Yara Song and the others all looked at Evan Lin, puzzled.

Their gazes darted between Evan and Victor Wu, confusion written all over their faces.

How could I possibly be drinking?

Victor Wu glared coldly at Evan Lin.

Everyone saw the boy who’d just finished a slice of cake slowly pick up a napkin and wipe his mouth.

Then, with one hand, he grabbed a glass of red wine from the table.

He held the wineglass lightly in his hand.

The boy looked indifferently at Victor Wu standing in front of Serena: "Not drinking, huh? Still lying through your teeth?"

I think you need a drink to clear your head.

As soon as he finished, Evan Lin flicked the wineglass with a single finger.

In an instant—

Everyone watched as the wine shot out of the glass at Evan’s finger-flick.

Wine splashed through the air, crossing the distance in a flash, smacking Victor Wu in the face.

It didn’t look like much wine, but the impact sent Victor Wu flying.

Bang!

A huge crash.

Victor Wu’s scream mixed in.

The others watched as Victor Wu rolled for ages before finally lying flat on the floor.

Utterly miserable.

“What just happened?” someone nearby was stunned.

“No idea. Looks like Victor Wu got blasted by the wine?” another person said, bewildered.

How did he do that?

Everyone was dumbfounded. They glanced at Victor Wu sprawled on the floor, then at the boy sitting there as if nothing had happened.

The only difference was that the boy’s wineglass was now empty.

Impressive, impressive!

Gavin Yu gazed at Evan Lin, eyes shining with excitement. “Could this be legendary inner force?”
