"Why are you showing me this? What does it mean?"
After Serena finished looking at the photos in her hand, an indescribable sense of oppression welled up inside her.
Oppression.
It was just too oppressive.
Even just looking at the photos, Serena seemed to feel the terrifying pressure within that fire scene.
Especially those people crawling in the sea of flames.
Just one glance made her heart race.
"Don't rush."
Victor Wu flipped to the second photo: "Look at this one."
The second photo.
It's the same scene as before.
The difference is, this time, no one's crawling.
Instead, a faint, blurry figure is calmly preparing to leave the fire scene.
The raging fire automatically parts beside him, forming a fiery path.
"This was captured by the surveillance camera."
"In the footage, one of the people crawling out is Leo Li from the Hong Kong Li family."
"And in the second shot, that vaguely visible figure is a red-haired guy."
A red-haired guy.
Hearing that, Serena froze.
"So, now you get it, right?"
Victor Wu looked at Serena: "I suspect—and I have plenty of reason to suspect—that the red-haired guy is actually Master Lin from Seacrest, the one who clashed with Leo Li from the Hong Kong Li family."
He's also the man behind Angel Epoch.
My guess should be right, shouldn't it?
Victor Wu glanced at Serena, looking smug.
"So what?"
Serena looked at him, her gaze a bit cold.
"This is Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Li family is searching everywhere for this guy."
"Serena, you used to be Angel Epoch's spokesperson, so you probably know whether this guy is actually Master Lin from Seacrest. And your relationship with him can't be shallow, right? Otherwise, you wouldn't have taken the endorsement for Angel Epoch."
"The photo's in my hands now. Do you want me to hand it to the Li family, let them send people out, find Master Lin from Seacrest, and just crush him?"
Victor Wu chuckled: "And apparently, it's not just the Hong Kong Li family looking for Master Lin from Seacrest—even Grandmaster Victor Zhou, one of Hong Kong's three great masters, seems interested in taking him down."
"I'll give you these two photos, and I promise not to snitch to the Li family."
In exchange, you willingly play the green leaf to Yara, and take the second female lead role.
Anyway, Serena, you started your career as a second female lead. This time it's just going back to your roots, right? What do you say?
Victor Wu looked at Serena, utterly confident he'd win.
Of course, if you think Master Lin from Seacrest isn't important, then just pretend I never said anything. But Leo Li only lost in Oceanport because of Master Lin, and now you're in Hong Kong, the Li family hates Master Lin, and you're Angel Epoch's spokesperson under him.
Do you think, if I say a few words, the Li family will let you go? Will they let your sister go?
Victor Wu smiled—his argument was solid, at least on the surface.
"One of Hong Kong's three great masters, Grandmaster Victor Zhou?"
Listening to Victor Wu, Serena paused.
She looked at the photos in her hand. Of course she knew about how Evan Lin went to Hong Kong and drove Leo Li from the Li family out.
But that time, Evan Lin came back perfectly fine, so she hadn't worried much.
But now, seeing Victor Wu bring this up, she suddenly felt things might be even messier than she'd imagined.
Serena instinctively glanced toward Evan Lin.
Over there, Evan Lin looked totally relaxed, as if nothing ever bothered him, like nothing was ever a problem.
But deep down, Serena couldn't help but feel uneasy.
She really didn't like Evan Lin risking himself—even if his strength was undeniable.
"Also, I'll just be straight with you—when that guy came to Hong Kong, he already pissed off the Dunn Group."
Seeing Serena worried, staring at Evan Lin, Victor Wu raised the stakes.
"The Dunn Group?"
Serena paused.
