You Will Be Buried With Him

"Don't die."

Jill Jing's eyes were red as she reached out to wipe the blood from Gavin Duan's mouth and nose.

But the more she wiped, the more blood appeared.

She couldn't stop it at all.

Gavin Duan coughed, his gaze unfocused.

His eyes lingered on Jill Jing's face, seeing her reddened eyes.

He wanted to reach out and wipe the tears from the corners of her eyes.

But he was just too tired.

Blood was leaving his body.

Even with the boost from Gu worms, the force of Blake Lin's two hands had already surpassed Gavin Duan's body's limits.

Now, he was pierced by rebar.

His body grew weaker and weaker.

Yet deep down, he still felt a bit unwilling.

Clearly...

Clearly he promised to protect her.

Gavin Duan smiled bitterly. "Little Jill, run."

"Go find him..."

"Maybe he can protect you..."

Gavin Duan's voice was weak and choked with emotion.

"Don't die..."

Jill Jing shook her head, lips pressed tight, quietly praying.

She didn't leave his side.

Her small hand held his large one.

Letting the blood stain her hands red.

Still refusing to let go.

"It's useless."

Blake Lin was already very close: "He was doomed to die today."

"Originally, my first strike only spared his life and seriously injured him, but he actually charged at me again, fearless of death."

"My second strike used thirty percent of my strength—enough to erase him."

Blake Lin shook his head slightly.

Several members of the Upper-Grade Lin Clan followed beside Blake Lin.

They all watched this scene, seeing Jill Jing clutch Gavin Duan's hand, refusing to let go.

Some were very short.

Some were very tall.

The background was a collapsed, damaged road, littered with rubble.

All around, the street was pure white; everywhere you looked, it was covered in snow.

But no one stepped forward to help.

So the little Jill Jing squatting beside Gavin Duan looked even more pitiful.

"Don't die..."

Jill Jing was still mumbling there.

She seemed to remember something.

She hurriedly took out the big bottle of cola she was hugging in her arms.

With her small hands stained with blood, she struggled to twist open the cap.

Then she placed the bottle to Gavin Duan's lips.

She brought the cola close to Gavin Duan's mouth, her eyes full of tears.

Her voice was childish, and trembling.

"Let you drink..."

Jill Jing's voice trembled; her body was shaking too as she spoke.

The cola she treated as a treasure.

It was the cola she had loved her whole life.

But the cola had frozen solid; no matter how long Jill Jing tried to pour, only a little bit came out and landed on Gavin Duan's lips.

Cola and blood mixed together.

Gavin Duan tried to smile.

He wanted to look satisfied, but it was just too hard.

"Don't die."

Jill Jing kept shaking the cola bottle: "All for you!"

But it was completely useless.

The cola was frozen solid.

Just like Gavin Duan's eyes, which had finally lost their light.
