Charged Straight In

2/14/2026

"He actually charged in!"

Someone in the crowd gasped, startled by Evan Lin's daring action.

To everyone watching, the boy who'd just stepped forward seemed to transform into a shadow.

They could only see his flickering silhouette darting straight at the ten men, weaving through them like a fish through water.

Many people squinted hard, trying to catch a glimpse of the boy's face, but it was all in vain.

A few breaths later—

Evan Lin stood still again, hands clasped behind his back like a true master, already behind the ten men, his expression unchanged.

The ten outer-strength-peak fighters were all frozen in place, not moving a muscle.

"What's wrong with you guys? Move! Come on, move!"

Gary Liu stood off to the side, his eyes flashing with menace as he glared at the ten men, face twisted in anger.

The ten men were stuck in bizarre poses—some with fists raised, some with palms extended, others caught mid-step, unable to take another move.

Right now, they looked more like human statues tossed around by the wind.

"I... I can't move!"

Finally, one of them managed to speak, voice thick with effort.

"How can you not move? Kill him! Take him out! I'll give you pills!" Gary Liu shouted, nearly losing it.

But the ten men still didn't budge an inch.

Sweat the size of beans rolled down their foreheads—they couldn't control their bodies at all!

"What did he do to them?" Byron Liu swallowed hard, unconsciously letting go of Brian Liu's wrist.

Brian Liu looked just as confused and lost.

"That kid was way too fast just now! How can anyone move like that?"

"Couldn't see a thing—way too fast!"

Most people were still stunned by Evan Lin's speed, but when they looked at the ten outer-strength-peak fighters, their eyes were full of confusion and disbelief.

"Holy crap, what is this, did we see a ghost or something?!"

"Even an inner-strength master couldn't possibly freeze ten outer-strength-peak fighters like this!"

The sky was getting dark, the sun half-set on the horizon. All around were woods and brush, and nearby you could even see wild graves scattered about.

A chilly wind blew, and with those ten men frozen in such weird poses, more than a few people felt a cold shiver run down their spines.

"They've lost. Now, come on—if you can crawl under my crotch, consider it a blessing from your last life."

Evan Lin glanced at Gary Liu and yawned.

Silence.

The moment Evan spoke, not a single person dared to make a sound.

Everyone turned to look at Gary Liu, who stood not far away.

Of the eleven outer-strength-peak fighters, one had been knocked out cold by the boy's shoulder right at the start and was still lying unconscious on the ground, while the other ten were inexplicably immobilized, unable to fight at all.

This round—Gary Liu, the Miracle Hand Sect's Little Doctor, had lost.

And he'd lost completely.

Everyone had heard the bet between Gary Liu and Evan Lin—now the boy wanted Gary to pay up...

Was the Miracle Hand Sect's second-grade Little Doctor really going to crawl under this boy's crotch?

Gary Liu's expression kept shifting—he always tried to stand with his hands behind his back, playing the master.

But now, hearing Evan Lin's words, anger welled up in his heart.

"What are you thinking?! You say you won and that's that? Those ten men—aren't they still standing?!" Leo Liu, face pale, stepped out and shouted.

"They can lie down." Evan Lin glanced at him and snapped his fingers.

Snap.

A soft sound echoed.

All ten men instantly collapsed to the ground.

Strangely, even as they fell, their bodies stayed locked in their original poses—every muscle stiff and unmoving.

"Now they're down." Evan Lin looked at Leo Liu, voice flat.

Leo Liu swallowed hard, nerves rattled, and glanced at Gary Liu.

Beside him, Ivy Liang's face was cold, brows furrowed as she looked at Evan Lin. "You've had your moment in the spotlight—can we end this already?"

"Otherwise, let’s just leave it at that!"

As soon as Ivy Liang finished, she tried to pull Leo Liu and Gary Liu away.

"I’ll let you off this once for my brother’s girlfriend’s sake. But remember this!" Gary Liu spat out a heavy breath, shot Evan Lin a vicious glare, and turned to leave.

"Did I say you could leave? Get back here!"

Evan Lin barked out a command. To the others, his voice was loud and grating, but to Gary Liu, it was as if someone had rung a giant bell inside his skull.

A thunderous boom resounded.

Everyone watched as the usually arrogant Gary Liu suddenly spat out blood, flying backward toward Evan Lin and landing pitifully at his feet.

The crowd was frozen, no one dared to speak, but seeing this scene made them fear Evan Lin even more.

Richard Si and Cindy Chen unconsciously shrank back into the crowd, terrified Evan Lin might turn and settle the score with them next.

Byron Liu shook his head in disbelief at what he was seeing, while Brian Liu looked excited, his eyes full of awe and admiration for Evan Lin.

"You! Do you even realize this is Miracle Hand Sect territory? Are you really not afraid to die?" Gary Liu, clutching his chest, gritted his teeth and glared up at Evan Lin.

But Evan Lin's expression didn't change. He simply spread his legs, leaving a gap wide enough for a person to crawl through.

"Crawl."

Evan Lin looked down on him from above, his voice cold and indifferent.

Leo Liu and Ivy Liang were both speechless, unable to utter a single word.

Ivy Liang hadn’t expected Evan Lin to ignore her repeated attempts to de-escalate.

"You really aren't afraid..."

Gary Liu, furious, tried to speak, but Evan Lin stomped his face into the dirt, leaving him eating mud like a dog.

He tried to get up and fight back, but for some reason, his body’s inner energy was in chaos, completely beyond his control.

"I'll give you five seconds to decide: either crawl through, honor your promise, or I’ll beat both you and your brother until you shit yourselves—and then make your brother feed you every mouthful of it."

Evan Lin sneered, his voice icy.

The crowd erupted in shock.

Leo Liu clearly hadn’t expected Evan Lin to say something so extreme—he clenched up in fear.

Many of the girls frowned, disgusted by Evan Lin’s threat.

Evan Lin could easily have killed Gary Liu on the spot, but instead chose to stomp on his dignity again and again.

"Annoying flies probably love eating that kind of filth. You really do remind me of one."

"If you want to talk fists, mine are bigger. And now you want to act tough in front of me?"

Evan Lin stared at the pale-faced Gary Liu. "Let’s start the countdown."

"Five!"
