The Tragedy of First Arrival in the Immortal Realm

2/14/2026

Evan Yang handed over the insect rings to his companions, finally feeling at ease. At least they now had a way to protect themselves. Aside from these four, the others who had once lived in the Sky-Piercing Tower stood nearby. Evan faced them and said, "I'm leaving for the Immortal Realm. From now on, you're all free."

Whether they were once captured by Evan or chose to cultivate inside his tower, the moment of parting still brought a sense of reluctance. But Evan had already passed through the Immortal Gate Hall—there was no way he could stay behind.

Just as Evan wanted to say something more, it was already too late. His body grew lighter, even turning vague and indistinct. Everyone was shocked.

At the same time, changes began to happen around Evan. A tunnel appeared above his head—he only needed to leap up to enter, but everyone else was repelled by the force and unable to approach.

"I'm leaving." Evan felt reluctant, but he had no choice. He had more important things to do—he was heading to the Immortal Realm.

Of the four women, Winter appeared cold on the surface, but inside she was silently crying. She didn’t know what to say and could only stare at Evan with teary eyes.

Looking at the once clueless Winter, Evan felt helpless—he had never fulfilled his duties as a husband. As for Tara Chu, what he felt was mostly guilt, while Xin Jiang was filled with gratitude; if not for her, Evan wouldn’t be who he was today.

As for Ye Chen, he had once fought for her against the Fenn Family. Glancing at the four women, Evan helplessly began to ascend, leaving them behind as the tunnel disappeared.

At this moment, darkness surrounded Evan. All he knew was that there was a tunnel overhead, and all he could do was swim upward.

"Is that lightning outside the tunnel, or a spatial crack?" He saw that the tunnel’s exterior resembled a spatial fissure, accompanied by flashes of lightning.

"Oh? Another clueless fool. If he ends up in a dangerous area, he'll die without even knowing how!" the leader said.

"So what should we do? Should we check?" someone asked.

"He's already gone, how could we possibly check?" the leader replied with disdain.

"Uh..." the subordinate responded awkwardly.

"Just leave him be. He doesn't know anything—must be a rookie Earth-Immortal," the leader said.

"Yeah, true," the subordinate nodded. The others, seeing nothing was wrong, dispersed and sat down to rest.

If Evan had overheard their conversation, he'd definitely regret rushing up—teleported into a dangerous area, he'd be in real trouble. After all, this wasn't the Human World but the Immortal Realm, where only true immortals could enter. Right now, he was at the very bottom of the hierarchy.

At that moment, Evan just wanted to find someone to ask for directions. It was his first time here, and he was completely unfamiliar with everything.

Just as he was about to get up, bubbles suddenly rose from the water. Evan was startled, held his breath, and hid nearby to see what would happen.

The bubbles grew larger and larger, until finally a woman's figure appeared before Evan. Hiding behind a tree on the shore, Evan was shocked and blurted, "Crap, I really didn't mean to do this."

Every delicate line on her body was clearly visible to Evan. Suddenly, the woman's expression changed; with a wave, clothes appeared to cover her important parts. Sensing a voyeur, she swept her hand toward the direction of the gaze, and an enormous wall of lakewater surged ashore, drenching Evan's hiding spot.

As for Evan, after three days, he couldn’t help but release his aura and started rushing upward.

All the leaves fell from the trees, leaving Evan standing there soaked to the bone, staring at the terrifying woman before him.

"Even scarier than that senior from before," Evan muttered, feeling the overwhelming aura from her.

The woman spotted Evan behind her and realized he was peeping on her bath. Furious, she shouted, "You reckless pervert! How dare you trespass in my forbidden territory!"

"Senior, I honestly don't know how I ended up here, but I swear I wasn't peeping on your bath," Evan hurriedly explained. He really didn't want to be killed right after arriving in the Immortal Realm.

"Still trying to argue? Shameless! Today I'll kill you, so no one dares appear in my Violet Immortal Lord's forbidden river again!" the woman roared.

"Immortal Lord Violet?" Evan wondered, having no clue about her title, but he knew she was definitely formidable.

The water suddenly surged, and with a single will, she controlled the entire lake. The sheer force stunned Evan; he knew he couldn't afford to provoke her any further and needed to dodge.

Without another word, Evan activated Flash Step and moved at incredible speed.

But he could still hear the woman's cold sneer behind him: "A low-level Earth-Immortal disciple dares come here—he's courting death!"

Evan had no idea what an Earth-Immortal was; he only wanted to get out of her sight as quickly as possible. But it was obviously impossible—he felt like he was running in place, always seeing her standing in the water, unable to move at all.

"Trying to leave? Dream on!" Immortal Lord Violet sneered.

She pointed her finger, and a pillar of water shot straight at Evan. The impact was like countless blades slamming into him, sending him flying hundreds of meters away. He swallowed blood, endured the heavy injury, and protested, "You—!"

"Hmph! Doesn't matter who you are—if you dare come here, you better be ready to die!" Immortal Lord Violet said angrily.

"I told you, I didn't come here on purpose!" Evan protested angrily.

"Enough excuses! Go die!" Immortal Lord Violet snapped.

Another pillar of water appeared. If this kept up, Evan would die for sure. Helpless, he grumbled, "Unreasonable!"

With that, Evan vanished from sight. Immortal Lord Violet was stunned—he had disappeared into thin air, and the water froze in midair.

"How is that possible?" Immortal Lord Violet exclaimed, spreading her divine sense everywhere. She couldn't find any trace of Evan, which left her both shocked and angry. She returned to the water but refused to submerge, staying alert atop the lake.

"Why won't she just leave?" Evan cursed internally. Thanks to the Luminous Armor, he could stay hidden for half an hour—if he hadn't been using Immortal Essence, he would have been exposed in just a few breaths.

At least now he could maintain stealth for about half an hour, which was enough. As long as the woman disappeared during that time, he could slip away unnoticed.

Time crawled by. Evan grew increasingly anxious as she showed no sign of leaving, making him even more nervous.

Finally, as his time limit neared, the woman reluctantly sank back into the water and vanished. After waiting a while to be sure, Evan emerged from hiding and immediately bolted away at top speed.

He ran faster than he ever had in his life, his injuries slowly healing. "Damn it, Immortal Lord Violet—just what kind of person is she? One day, I'll come back for payback," Evan vowed inwardly.

He'd only stumbled in by mistake, and almost got wiped out. If not for the Luminous Armor's temporary invisibility, he wouldn't have made it out alive.

So Evan sprinted for a day and night, finally escaping the forest. Outside, he saw warning plaques everywhere: 'Forbidden Area. Trespassers will have their souls scattered.' The signature was none other than Immortal Lord Violet.

"Damn it, I should be out of her territory now," Evan cursed inwardly.

He quickly found a secluded spot, entered the Sky-Piercing Tower, and hid it in a concealed place. Then he began healing inside the tower.

Without another word, Evan activated Flash Step and moved at incredible speed.
