Path of the Four Guardians: The Wisher (5)

The wind howled, snow swirled, and I quietly watched as Sylvia Blue approached me.

Everything that just happened was still vivid in my mind. That gun that appeared—Xiyue—gave me an indescribable sense of familiarity.

"Don't tell anyone outside about what happens here. I will protect..."

Sylvia Blue, having come before me, turned her cheek slightly, her expression graceful as she continued speaking.

"I'll be watching over you. I won't let those people interfere."

I nodded in response, about to thank her, but Sylvia Blue suddenly pouted in slight displeasure, so I swallowed my words.

I carefully examined the football-sized orb of blue light, reaching out to touch it gently. The gathered green mist dissipated, untouchable, curling around my paw.

Suddenly, I withdrew my paw. Just now, I felt a surge of warmth as it touched my palm. The blue orb before me burst with a snap, dispersing into thin blue mist that shrouded the snowy mountain.

"For now, let's head back. Maybe this little one isn't ready to communicate with you yet!"

Sylvia Blue smiled softly, her eyes sparkling with life. Her body gradually dissolved into countless silvery particles, vanishing before me.

I gazed up, lost in thought, at the blue mist drifting around me. Now, my instincts were completely under control, and my consciousness began to fade.

"Next time, I'll tell you my story. Maybe you'll be interested!"

With a whoosh, the blue mist suddenly began to swirl, as if it had heard my words.

The moment I opened my eyes, I saw a beautiful face filled with anger—her almond eyes wide. Next to Sylvia Blue, Lan Yin looked eager as he kept talking to her.

"Ethan, you're awake. How are you feeling?"

Only now did I notice the Azure Dragon had arrived as well. He gazed at me with a grave expression.

"I saw a mountaintop in the heavy snow, with a stream of blue energy. I don't know what it was—maybe part of the Azure Luan."

"Did you try to communicate with it?"

Azure Dragon's grave expression relaxed instantly. He stepped forward, visibly excited, but my shake of the head made disappointment flash in his eyes.

"There's no need to worry. As long as this egg still has life, there will always be a way."
