The overall lines of the car were very smooth. Ian turned to the sales consultant and asked, "Can I sit inside and get a feel for it?"
Ian.
Suddenly, an awkward voice rang out.
Without turning around, Ian immediately knew who it was—the distinctive voice belonged to Andy Jin, the East Korean heir.
"So it's Mr. Jin. Pleased to meet you!" Ian turned and greeted him with a smile, but Andy Jin's gaze was far from friendly. With him was a young master and two black-clad bodyguards.
Andy Jin strode forward, pointed at Ian's nose, and shouted, "So it really is you, you damned swindler!"
Ian's face darkened. "Mr. Jin, please watch your language!"
Andy Jin snapped, "Did I say anything wrong? You little punk, you cheated me out of fifty thousand yuan."
Ian's expression turned cold. "Mr. Jin, let me repeat: watch your language. Did I ask you for that fifty thousand? You stuffed it into my hands yourself. Besides, I've already donated it to charity in your name."
Andy Jin was stunned, then cursed even louder, "I don't believe it! Someone as greedy as you would never donate money once it's in your hands!"
At that moment, the young master walked over with his two bodyguards and asked, "Enjun, what's going on?"
"This little punk cheated me out of fifty thousand yuan!" Andy Jin said coldly, then added, "I don't care about the money, but I'd rather give it to beggars than let this punk have it."
The young master frowned and said, "Don't worry, Enjun, I'll help you get your money back!"
As soon as he finished, the young master's gaze fell on Ian, full of disdain. "Are you going to hand over the fifty thousand and apologize to Enjun yourself, or do you want to get beaten up and handed over to the police?"
"Mr. Wang, I want him to kneel and kowtow to apologize!" Andy Jin interrupted. Jason Wang was the son of Riverstone City's Party Secretary; with him helping, this punk was doomed.
Jason Wang nodded and continued to Ian, "Did you hear that? Kneel down and kowtow to Enjun to apologize!"
Ian couldn't help but laugh angrily. He looked at the two and said, "Were you two sent here by the monkey troupe to make people laugh? Now, get out. I'm not in the mood to waste time with you idiots."
"What did you say? Say that again if you dare!" Jason Wang's face darkened, his eyes flashing coldly. His two bodyguards stepped forward, glaring at Ian.
"Get lost!" Ian spat out coldly.
"You're looking for trouble!"
Ian's single word, "Get lost!" completely enraged Jason Wang. In Riverstone, Justin Nangong used to overshadow him, but now that Justin was recovering in the hospital, Jason was the biggest player in the city's playboy circle.
These days, with everyone flattering him, Jason's ego had swelled even further.
The reason Jason was hanging out with Andy Jin was because his father, Wang Kui, had specifically told him to get close to Andy—Baedai Motors was planning to invest a hundred billion yuan in a new auto parts factory in Tianhe State.
Andy Jin was the only son of Baedai Motors' president. If Jason could win him over, the investment would be halfway secured.
Without waiting for Jason's order, his two bodyguards attacked at once.
One swung a fist at Ian's chest, while the other aimed a kick at his lower leg.
"Get lost!" Ian spat out again.
Ian spat out "Get lost!" again, then swung both palms. With two crisp slaps, the black-clad bodyguards were sent flying, crashing right into Jason Wang and Andy Jin.
For a moment, the four of them ended up in a tangled heap, looking utterly ridiculous.
The two bodyguards scrambled up first, each helping their respective master—Jason Wang and Andy Jin—back to their feet.
Jason Wang's face was grim, his eyes cold. He pulled out his phone and dialed, "Brother Bai, I was attacked at the Phantom Auto Center."
Bai Yang was shocked. Someone in Riverstone dared lay hands on the boss's son? They must have a death wish.
"Young Master Wang, are you hurt? I'll call the local precinct right away and have the chief bring his men over."
"I'm fine, just tell them to hurry up."
"Don't worry, I'll take care of it."
Hearing Jason's call, Ian frowned slightly. This young master clearly had some serious backing.
If they'd called in thugs, Ian wouldn't care. But the fact they were bringing police made things complicated.
Thinking this over, Ian decided he needed to probe this kid's background to respond appropriately.
He looked at Jason Wang and said, "Hey, judging by your phone call, you must be a second-generation official. So, who's your dad?"
Andy Jin grinned darkly. "Only now you care about who Mr. Wang's father is? Too late! His dad is the city's Party Secretary—you're finished!"
Ian's expression changed slightly. This might be tough to handle—he'd need to call in reinforcements himself.
But should he call Li Longyang or Nathan Nangong?
The Li Family was one of the top ten clans, so it was best not to reveal his ties to Li Longyang. If they got suspicious, it could mean endless trouble. That left only Nathan Nangong.
With that decision, Ian called Nathan Nangong. "Get to the Phantom Auto Center as fast as you can!" he said gravely.
Less than five minutes later, three police cars screeched up. Chief Le Zhihu led a team of officers who rushed into the Auto Center.
Chief Le Zhihu scanned the room and spotted Jason Wang. He hurried over, concern written all over his face. "Young Master Wang, I'm sorry I'm late. Are you alright?"
