The furious master struck out with his palm, venting his anger. Lady Enchantress was startled and tried to stop him, but the master had already made his move and reached Evan Yang.
Just as Sara Sang and Lady Enchantress thought Evan Yang was doomed, the master was suddenly thrown back by a powerful force, causing him to stagger. This shocked everyone—even knowing the master's strength, they couldn't believe he was repelled like this.
"Damn it, what on earth is going on!" the master cursed angrily.
"Master, are you alright?" Sara Sang asked.
"I'm fine. But now, what's with this kid?" the master asked, looking at Sara Sang and Lady Enchantress, since only they were present.
Lady Enchantress walked over and tested the force, discovering that a mysterious power was protecting the unconscious Evan Yang. She frowned and asked Sara Sang, "What's going on?"
Sara Sang knew she couldn't hide it, so she explained everything that had happened. When Lady Enchantress and the master heard her story, both looked at Evan Yang. Lady Enchantress finally said, "Sara, you were foolish. If he didn't respond, it must have been because something was wrong, not because he was ignoring you."
"I thought he was doing it on purpose," Sara Sang admitted awkwardly, realizing her mistake.
The master fell silent, his expression still displeased. He wanted to punish Evan Yang, but the protective force made that impossible. He frowned and asked, "Junior sister, who is he really, and why did he resonate with my sapling?"
"He's from the Immortal Realm—you should be able to tell. But why he resonated with your sapling, I have no idea," Lady Enchantress said, shaking her head helplessly.
The master grumbled, "Such a good thing, ruined by him. I'm furious." Lady Enchantress replied, "Senior brother, don't be hasty. If he could break through the barrier, it means your sapling wanted him in."
"I know that, but I can't accept that the sapling I cultivated with so much effort was taken by an outsider," the master said reluctantly.
Lady Enchantress knew how important the sapling was to the master. Now it seemed ruined and useless, but she was helpless and could only wait for Evan Yang to wake up.
The three stood there watching Evan Yang. Evan looked asleep, but his mind was clear. He cursed inwardly, "Damn it, I didn't want this. If not for the Demon Witch, I wouldn't have crashed into the sapling. Now I don't even know what's happened to my body."
At this moment, Evan Yang truly worried that his Heaven-Cold Seed would clash with the power brought by the sapling, leaving him crippled or causing the Heaven-Cold Seed to lose its abilities.
This was something Evan Yang could not accept, so he constantly monitored his body, discovering Heaven-Cold qi and the black energy swirling and clashing inside him. "Damn it," Evan cursed inwardly.
Until the two forces inside him disappeared, Evan Yang sensed his body had changed, but couldn't figure out how. The Heaven-Cold qi was still there.
'What exactly has changed?' Evan Yang wondered, then opened his eyes.
As soon as he opened his eyes, Evan Yang saw three pairs of eyes—one filled with anger, the other two with curiosity.
Evan Yang tried to explain, but the master grabbed him and said angrily, "Kid, do you know how hard it was for me to cultivate this?"
"Senior, I'm sorry, this wasn't what I wanted," Evan Yang said gloomily. "Not what you wanted? What do you mean? Are you saying my sapling is worthless?" the master said angrily. "Senior, you misunderstood, that's not what I meant. If this young lady hadn't pushed me, I wouldn't have crashed into it," Evan Yang explained helplessly.
Sara Sang blushed in embarrassment, Lady Enchantress shook her head helplessly, and the master threw Evan Yang down, saying, "Whatever, it's already happened. I have no choice but to accept it."
"Thank you, senior." Evan Yang didn't know how precious the sapling was, but since it could affect the Heaven-Cold Seed, it must be extraordinary.
"Follow me," the master said. He waved his hand, opening a path. Evan Yang, Sara Sang, and Lady Enchantress followed, curious about the master's intentions.
After a while, Evan Yang arrived outside and saw all the trees had withered. Lady Enchantress frowned, while Sara Sang exclaimed, "Master, what happened?"
"What's happening? Of course, since the sapling withered, these trees are withering too. Their energy all comes from the sapling," the master explained.
Sara Sang didn't know it was this serious and looked surprised. Evan Yang was puzzled, thinking, "Could it really be this bad?"
Just one tree made the master so angry, now the whole grove is withered. Evan Yang couldn't imagine how the master felt. After a while, the master said, "If you can restore these withered trees, I'll pretend nothing happened. If not, you'll stay here forever and use your blood to nourish them."
Evan Yang wondered if the master had noticed his unusual blood. Lady Enchantress said, "Senior brother, he didn't do it on purpose. Please let him go." The master replied, "Junior sister, you know my character. If the trees are restored, I'll let him go. Don't you understand?"
Lady Enchantress looked at her senior brother, then at Evan Yang, and secretly transmitted to Evan, "Get ready, I'll take you away."
Evan Yang knew Lady Enchantress was on his side and planned to help him escape. But since he caused the trouble, he didn't want Lady Enchantress to offend her senior brother. So he asked, "If I restore the trees, you'll let me go?"
"That's right. My junior sister and disciple will be witnesses. But if you fail, get ready to give your blood," the master said.
Lady Enchantress was shocked Evan Yang agreed, and Sara Sang was also surprised and felt guilty—if not for her, Evan wouldn't be in this situation.
"Alright, I agree. Shall I start now?" Evan Yang said.
"Yes, go ahead," the master said.
Evan Yang nodded, walked up to a withered tree, placed his hand on it, and released Heaven-Cold qi.
Seeing Evan Yang touch the withered tree, Lady Enchantress worried. All the trees were withered, and even she couldn't restore them. The master couldn't either. Sara Sang thought it was impossible, but Evan Yang believed that if he succeeded with Heaven-Cold qi, the trees could recover.
Sure enough, after Evan Yang released Heaven-Cold qi, the tree miraculously revived. The master was shocked, and Sara Sang and Lady Enchantress were amazed—Evan Yang had brought the withered tree back to life.
After reviving one tree, Evan Yang continued with the others. One by one, he carefully restored them. Lady Enchantress smiled, while the master was both amazed and excited.
Sara Sang was stunned; this was beyond anything she could imagine.
After restoring the whole grove, Evan Yang said, "I've finished. Senior, will you keep your promise?"
"Of course, I'll keep my promise. I said it, so I'll do it," the master replied.
"Thank you, senior." Evan Yang knew the master was letting him go, since the trees were restored. The sapling couldn't be restored, but Evan Yang guessed it was as valuable as the Heaven-Cold Seed.
"You're truly amazing. I'll agree to my junior sister's other request, but you must help me with something else. We'll call it even," the master said.
Evan Yang didn't know what agreement Lady Enchantress had with the master, so he looked at her curiously. Lady Enchantress said, "It's about blocking the Dark Demon King's tracking on you."
After hearing Lady Enchantress's explanation, Evan Yang laughed, "I wonder what your other request is, senior?"
"Help me restore something," the master said.
"I'm not omnipotent, but I'll try," Evan Yang replied.
"Alright, since you said that, I'll remove the tracking first, then take you there. Even if you fail, I won't blame you," the master said.
Evan Yang nodded, then followed the master to a cave. Lady Enchantress and Sara Sang followed behind. After a while, they arrived at the master's cave. The master said, "Junior sister, wait outside with Sara Sang. I'll perform a spell on him."
Lady Enchantress thanked her senior brother, surprised he agreed so easily. It was likely Evan Yang's tree restoration ability that impressed him.
The master had Evan Yang sit on a stone. Evan followed his instructions and closed his eyes. The master took out a large talisman paper, wrapping Evan Yang in it. After chanting, light shone around Evan Yang.
The light grew stronger. When the master finished the spell and put away the talisman, he said, "I've changed something about you. The Dark Demon King can no longer track you through anything on your body."
"Thank you, senior," Evan Yang said, though he wasn't sure it worked. The master looked at Evan Yang and said, 'Now it's your turn to help me.'
"What do you need help with, senior?" Evan Yang asked curiously.
