"You really are crazy." Lucas Lin stared at Amy in disbelief. "Who are you, really?"
Amy chuckled softly. "Who am I? It's better if you don't know. I, Amy, only care about profit, not right or wrong."
Lucas Lin said darkly, "No way. We can't break up now!"
He'd just announced their relationship to everyone, and now, just a few days later, they'd be caught breaking up. How could he keep his reputation?
"You can't stop me." Amy flicked her finger, pulled out a gun from behind her, and aimed it at Lucas Lin. "Don't get in my way, or I'll kill you right now!"
Lucas Lin froze in place, unable to take another step to stop her.
Suddenly, he remembered what Rona Muir had asked him: Do you know Amy's true identity?
Could it be that Rona actually knew who Amy really was?
Would Rona believe last night's drama?
She probably even started doubting herself, didn't she?
Thinking back to what Mrs. Yin just said to him, it wasn't just a test—it was a hundred percent confirmation, wasn't it?
Lucas Lin's heart started to race with panic.
He really didn't want Rona Muir to misunderstand him—even though he wasn't involved, he did know about it.
Just as he tried to stop her, Amy slipped out of Lucas Lin's room and headed straight for Jiro Hirayama's.
Lucas Lin stood at the doorway and overheard Amy crying to Jiro Hirayama: "Lucas Lin just hit me and said I'm not worthy of him. Mr. Hirayama, I really have nowhere else to go! If even you don't believe me, what can I do?"
"Heh, what does that have to do with me?" Jiro Hirayama was still annoyed—why should he care whether Amy lived or died?
If she died, so be it. What did it matter to Jiro Hirayama?
If Cecilia Gu hadn't ordered him not to go looking for Rona Muir, he'd have left ages ago! Why would he stay here listening to Amy's endless whining?
Amy crawled toward Jiro Hirayama, pleading, "Mr. Hirayama, as long as you don't kick me out, I'll go explain everything to President Rona, okay? If I explain, she'll definitely believe me!"
Jiro Hirayama might be childish, but he's not stupid.
After hearing Amy's words, Jiro Hirayama sneered at her, "Do you think Rona Muir is as blind and stupid as you? You were caught in the act—how blind would she have to be to believe your story?"
Amy: "..."
Honestly, if she had a better springboard, she wouldn't have chosen Hirayama Jirou at all.
Just one sentence, and it hits right where it hurts!
Lucas Lin, who was eavesdropping nearby, couldn't help but laugh.
Amy acted all high and mighty in front of him, but in front of Jiro Hirayama, she was as meek as a grandson.
There's always someone who can put someone else in their place.
Lucas Lin didn't dare eavesdrop for too long, so he quietly retreated back to his own room, racking his brains for a solution.
But now, Rona Muir was so badly injured that she refused to see anyone. He wanted to show his concern, to take advantage of the situation, but he didn't even get the chance.
All he could do was wait patiently; there was nothing else he could do.
Inside the room, Jiro Hirayama finally couldn't sit still. He jumped up with a fierce look and said, "If you do something wrong, you have to take responsibility! Since Rona Muir's mad that I slept with another woman, then I'll just get rid of that function! That way, she won't ever be angry with me again!"
With that, Jiro Hirayama turned and walked out, ready to go home, back to his lab, and chemically castrate himself!
Amy stared at Jiro Hirayama in shock.
How had Rona Muir put up with such a childish Jiro Hirayama for so many years?
Why is his way of thinking so bizarre?
A normal man would be worried about his wife's anger while also trying to comfort his new lover, right?
Why is it that Jiro Hirayama never does anything the way normal people would?
At such a critical moment, he could come up with something like this—how was she supposed to stick to her plan now?
No, she had to find Rona Muir before Jiro Hirayama did anything and deliver the final blow!
She absolutely couldn't let Jiro Hirayama go through with it!
What if he actually did it, and Rona Muir forgave him right away?
After all, they already have kids together, and getting divorced isn't that easy!
How infuriating!
Why can't Jiro Hirayama just act normal for once?
If only he were a little more normal, I wouldn't have to force them to divorce. As long as Jiro Hirayama was willing to let me be his lover, I could use my family to help him out.
If it weren't for his weirdness—only ever helping his wife and never the other woman—I wouldn't be stuck using such a self-destructive plan!
Amy scrambled and clung to Jiro Hirayama's leg, blurting out, "No way! If you castrate yourself, how will you ever satisfy Rona Muir?"
Jiro Hirayama paused again.
That's right.
If he castrated himself, wouldn't he be unable to satisfy Rona Muir too?
Jiro Hirayama paced anxiously around the room, unable to think of a better solution.
Seeing that Jiro Hirayama had temporarily given up on that idea, Amy quickly got up from the floor and decided to go find Rona Muir right now.
She had to deliver one last heavy blow to Rona Muir at this moment!
Only by doing this could she force Rona Muir to make a decision as soon as possible!
As long as Rona Muir and Jiro Hirayama got divorced, she'd have a chance to win Jiro over!
Amy quickly confirmed which hotel Rona Muir was staying in, and kept wandering outside, looking for an opportunity.
But the bodyguards brought by Cecilia Gu were all incredibly strong.
Cecilia Gu was worried that Rona Muir would stay cooped up in her room and get depressed, so she persuaded her to go out for a walk, get some fresh air, and maybe talk things through.
Cecilia Gu and Rona Muir had just come downstairs and hadn't even left yet when Amy suddenly jumped out from the shadows, bursting into tears: "President Rona, please listen to my explanation! I really didn't mean to go into your room last night and sleep with Mr. Hirayama!"
Rona Muir and Cecilia Gu's faces instantly changed!
Cecilia Gu immediately panicked and ordered the bodyguards to remove Amy: "Quick, take her away! Who let her show up here?"
But Amy was quick, dodging their attempts to catch her while shouting, "President Rona, you can't just stand by and do nothing! I'm a perfectly innocent girl, but your husband defiled me..."
"Shut up!" Rona Muir's face instantly darkened. "Come with me!"
Rona Muir and Cecilia Gu were both public figures, and many people in the crowd recognized them, whispering and gossiping about the explosive news they'd just overheard.
"Oh my god, did I hear that right? Isn't that the president of Danni Cosmetics? Her husband is the second son of the Hirayama family, isn't he? And he's actually cheating?"
"Unbelievable! That Hirayama guy was even a live-in son-in-law! And he's cheating too!"
"Tsk tsk tsk, what do you know? Men always like something new. Besides, Jiro Hirayama came from over there, you know! Heh heh."
"I heard President Rona is four years older than her husband! No wonder he cheated!"
Listening to the whispers all around, Cecilia Gu's brows instantly furrowed. She turned and said coldly, "I don't want to see any articles online discussing this topic."
Rona Muir didn't get any relief from her walk. Instead, she felt even more stifled.
"You think you're innocent?" Rona Muir couldn't help but laugh in anger. "If you were really innocent, would you have shouted about it in public? Amy, you're not just any ordinary girl. Do you really think I'd believe you?"
Rona Muir: "Heh, if there's no need to act anymore, then let's just talk frankly!"
Rona Muir was so angry she was shaking all over: "What did you say?!"
"I'm saying, everything you saw was true. Actually, when we ran into you at the hotel that day, Jiro Hirayama and I had already planned to hook up there. We just didn't expect to run into you. Mr. Hirayama didn't want you to find out, so he deliberately picked a fight with me to distract you." Amy looked smug. "You're the one who knows Mr. Hirayama best. If it wasn't for meeting up with me, why would he take time out of his busy experiments to go into the city with me? If it was really just for buying a scarf, he wouldn't need to go himself—one call and plenty of people would serve him."
"So, that day we went was really just to have an affair." Amy delivered a heavy blow to Rona Muir: "After you left, Mr. Hirayama and I went to plenty of places together. He probably never told you, did he?"
