Amy Strikes at Rona Muir

1/4/2026

Rona Muir felt a sharp, tearing pain in her chest, so intense that her face turned pale in an instant.

"Is that so?" she replied stubbornly, refusing to show any weakness in front of Amy.

"And that tricolor flower—you probably didn't expect this, but I was the one who found it and gave it to Mr. Jiro Hirayama." Amy's words cut into Rona Muir's heart like a knife: "He was worried he'd have trouble explaining the flower to you later, so he deliberately video-called you to let you know about it. When he came back, did he make the flower into a specimen and give it to you? Well, guess what? I made that specimen myself."

Rona Muir forced herself to stay upright, even though she knew she couldn't bear to listen any longer.

But her body wouldn't obey—she just wanted to know the whole truth!

"I'm not afraid to be honest with you. I approached Mr. Jiro Hirayama with a purpose. I wanted to leave the base, but according to the rules, the only way out is death. I didn't want to die, so I had to find someone powerful enough to take me away. Luckily, Jiro Hirayama was that person."

"Mr. Hans values Jiro Hirayama highly. When they left, they conspired for a long time and made many deals. As long as Jiro Hirayama was willing, he could take me away from the base and from Mr. Hans completely. Ms. Muir, I'm sorry—I didn't mean to compete with you for your husband. You're so outstanding, beautiful, rich, and powerful. You could have any man you want! So please, let me have Jiro Hirayama!"

Rona Muir almost wanted to applaud Amy: "So, did you come here because Jiro Hirayama sent you, or was it your own idea?"

"Ms. Muir, you're sharp. Do you think I could have come here without Mr. Jiro Hirayama's approval?" Amy pushed all the blame onto Jiro Hirayama.

She had already noticed that Jiro Hirayama was never good at defending himself.

Even when all the blame landed on his head, all he could say was that it had nothing to do with him—he couldn't defend himself at all.

Normally, this kind of personality is annoying, but when trouble comes, he's the perfect scapegoat.

So Amy had no mercy, dumping all the blame on Jiro Hirayama.

Sure enough, Rona Muir's face looked even worse.

"Then what's going on between you and Lucas Lin?" Rona Muir asked through gritted teeth.

Amy paused, her eyes darting around.

That kid Lucas Lin was smart enough not to expose her, so she decided to owe him a favor.

After all, if Lucas Lin could keep Rona Muir occupied, Jiro Hirayama would give up on her, and Amy's chances would increase.

Amy immediately said, "Him? He's so easy to fool. I just lied and told him I'd be his girlfriend, and he actually believed me!"

Rona Muir gently closed her eyes. "Really? Lucas Lin isn't that easy to fool."

Amy coughed lightly and continued, "He's not that easy to fool, but who am I? I just told him that if we made our relationship public, I'd help cover up the scandal about him being kept by Zoey Chow. Ms. Muir, you must remember back at the hotel overseas, Lucas Lin was still Zoey Chow's little toy boy, right?"

Rona Muir frowned. "You threatened him with that?"

"Of course," Amy shrugged. "Why waste a perfectly good target? Lucas Lin fell for it and announced our relationship! Only then would you believe I invited you out of kindness, right?"

Rona Muir's whole body was trembling slightly.

It had been years since anyone dared provoke her like this!

Well, well.

Amy, you've got guts.

"Lucas Lin has no idea that Jiro Hirayama and I have been secretly working together. He thought he was helping me and even took the initiative to invite you out!" Amy grew more smug. "But after this, I can't keep up the act with him anymore—we just broke up, peacefully."

"Heh." Rona Muir looked at her mockingly. "So you came to me, trying to force me to divorce Jiro Hirayama, right?"

"Ms. Muir, you're so smart—we've saved a lot of time." Amy smiled. "Jiro and I were together last night. I'm already his woman. You're a clean freak, aren't you? I heard all about you—back then, Sean Kerr chased you for years, but you gave up on him because he had a messy thing going on with Sylvia Ran. Someone as picky about love and bodies as you wouldn't settle for Jiro Hirayama now, right?"

Rona Muir actually laughed out of anger. "Looks like you really do know a lot about me!"

"Of course. Know yourself and know your enemy, and you'll never lose a battle," Amy said with a smile. "Besides, you haven't really lost anything. You're still young, with plenty of time and plenty of handsome men waiting for you out there! Just let me have Jiro Hirayama—I don't care that he's been married and has kids."

Rona Muir looked Amy up and down. "Your shamelessness is truly rare. But Amy, why should I help you? You ruined my family, my happiness, and now you want me to help you? Do you really think I'm that easy to bully?"

"Why not?" Amy shrugged. "It pays to have good karma—you never know when you might need my help."

"Just go." Rona Muir took a deep breath. "I'm not going to help you!"

"Why not?" Amy said. "Even if you give up on Jiro Hirayama, you still have Lucas Lin!"

"What!" Rona Muir shot Amy a sideways glance. "What nonsense are you talking about?"

"I'm not talking nonsense," Amy said. "Lucas Lin has been secretly in love with you—you can't possibly not know, right? Haha, that's just hilarious! Lucas Lin is so timid, always hiding behind a thick mask, burying his true feelings deep."

"Nonsense!" Rona Muir suddenly stood up. "Just go! I don't want to hear your nonsense anymore!"

Amy didn't bother arguing—she stood up, grinning arrogantly. "You'll give in to me sooner or later! Your personality guarantees you'd rather break than bend. So, I'm off! Bye-bye!"

With that, Amy opened the door and strode out.

As soon as Amy left, Cecilia Gu came in. She immediately saw how pale and miserable Rona Muir looked.

"What happened? What did she say to you?" Cecilia Gu said angrily. "I'll have someone bring her back right now!"

"No need." Rona Muir stopped Cecilia Gu. Her face was pale, but her voice was unusually calm. "She came to show off. She said that she and Jiro Hirayama were already secretly involved when they were abroad. Last night was just a natural progression, not an accident—they planned it together. If I hadn't gotten up early, I wouldn't have discovered their dirty little secret."

Cecilia Gu was furious. "How can someone be so awful? She's still working for Captain Hans! I'll contact Hans right now—she can't get away with this!"

Before Cecilia Gu could turn around, Rona Muir grabbed her again, calmly saying, "Don't rush with Hans. Whether or not Captain Hans deals with Amy, it won't change the fact that Jiro Hirayama and I are splitting up! Amy investigated me thoroughly—she basically figured out my entire personality. Cici, you know we're both clean freaks when it comes to relationships."

Cecilia Gu already understood what Rona Muir was about to say.

Better to break than to bend.

Wasn't she the same way back then?

Back then, because of Sylvia Ran, hadn't she forced herself to give up on Charles Yin?

She never expected something like this to happen to Rona Muir now.

So Cecilia Gu felt especially empathetic.

"Are you really sure about Jiro Hirayama and her...?" Cecilia Gu still thought it was ridiculous—how could Jiro Hirayama ever be interested in Amy?

"There's nothing left to be sure about." Rona Muir said through gritted teeth. "Even if Jiro Hirayama didn't plot with her, after last night, I can't face him like before. Cici, let's go back and get ready for the divorce!"

Hearing the word 'divorce,' Cecilia Gu's heart suddenly ached. "Rona!"

"Enough, don't try to talk me out of it. You know I never tolerate any sand in my eyes." Rona Muir said decisively. "I'm not giving him my son. It's over between us!"

Cecilia Gu felt something was off. She didn't want her best friend to miss out on future happiness because of a moment's anger.

Cecilia Gu grabbed Rona Muir's wrist and said, "Don't rush the divorce. Besides, this isn't just about you two—it's about your families. At worst, just separate for now and sort things out slowly. For now, leave the company to me and take some time to clear your head. Don't let Amy's words mess with your judgment."

Rona Muir just felt exhausted. She leaned against Cecilia Gu, choking back tears. "Let's go home. I want to go home!"

"Alright, alright, we'll go home." Cecilia Gu took Rona Muir by the hand and started to leave.

"Wait! I don't want to go to my own home," Rona Muir stopped Cecilia Gu again. "And I don't want to go to my parents' house either. I just want to be alone."

Cecilia Gu sighed. "Then let's stay at the little apartment I share with my sister for a while. It's small, but quiet. Hardly anyone knows the address, so even if Jiro Hirayama wants to find you, he won't be able to."

"Mm." Rona Muir nodded tiredly and leaned on Cecilia Gu again.

Meanwhile, the Yin family's PR team notified all media outlets, strictly forbidding any gossip articles about Rona Muir and Jiro Hirayama.

Still, word spread quickly among the upper class.

One of those who found out was Zoey Chow.
