If You Want to Watch, You Have to Win

Ivy Shen strode forward with unwavering steps. As the distance closed, she could finally see the two men sitting in utter silence at the far end of the corridor.

To the left sat the man in black, to the right the man in white. Both had identical postures—heads bowed, hands resting at their sides as if dozing. But Ivy could sense their wariness, and on their hands glinted transparent, spiked metal claws. One swipe with those things would rip a chunk of skin right off your back!

“Xin’er…” Ethan Chu couldn’t help but whisper, his brows furrowing at the familiar figures. He knew all too well how dangerous they were.

“It’s fine.” Ivy Shen unconsciously smiled, her eyes sharp as she looked at the Black-and-White Fiend Duo she’d never met before. Anyone who dared hurt her would pay double—whatever they’d done to Ethan, she’d make sure they got it back twice over!

“Ooh, aaahhh—” Another round of loud, jarring moans echoed from the far end of the corridor, clear as day and totally ear-splitting.

“Are they having a banquet or something?” Butterfly Rogue crossed his arms and squinted ahead, unable to resist a snarky comment.

“It’s probably not that simple,” Lucian Vane replied coolly, a strange chill lacing his words.

“I’m really curious!” Caleb Miles chimed in, his golden abacus clicking in the moonlight with a rhythmic clack-clack.

“Little White…” Liam Willow glanced worriedly at Eli Crane standing beside him. Eli just turned and gave him a gentle smile and nod, signaling everything was fine.

Their chatter continued, but Ivy Shen kept walking straight up to the Black-and-White Fiend Duo, not slowing down for a second. In the next instant, both men suddenly stood and barked coldly, “If you’re just here to borrow a bed, why are you wandering so late? What are you doing?” As he spoke, Black Fiend lifted his face to glare at Ivy.
