"What's a Heaven-and-Hell Contract?" Ryan Ling was obviously clueless and hurriedly asked again!
The woman next to him immediately chimed in to remind Ryan: "The Heaven-and-Hell Contract is the ultimate pact between cultivators and souls in the Immortal World. Once it's sealed, no matter how strong the other party is, they'll become your partner—there's a deep tacit understanding, and you can't betray each other!"
"Nice, that's a solid contract—let's sign the Heaven-and-Hell Contract!" Ryan didn't hesitate for a second and agreed on the spot. The Saint Immortal had no other options either; his life was clearly in Ryan's hands, and there was zero chance of escape, so he could only accept!
The Saint Immortal didn't need to say much; it was obvious he was in real danger now, and his chances of escape were gone. He could only nod and say, "Relax. If you run into trouble, you can call me anytime—but don't overdo it! I'm still a restless soul and can't leave this tomb for too long!"
"Sure, I can promise you that!" Ryan nodded. Being able to seal a contract with a powerful Saint Immortal—now that's something to get hyped about!
With no other choice, the Saint Immortal went ahead and sealed the Heaven-and-Hell Contract with Ryan.
The moment the contract was set, Ryan felt himself instantly flooded with endless power—no doubt coming straight from the Saint Immortal. With his help, Ryan's War Tomb expedition was officially a perfect success!
Once everything was settled, Ryan didn't stick around in the War Tomb. He grabbed the woman and led the tomb-raiders out in a blaze. This run was an absolute jackpot—he'd broken into the Primordial Immortal Realm, had Ancestor-level strength, and, best of all, scored a contract with a Saint Immortal. He was riding high, feeling like he had the whole world in his hands. At least in War City, he didn't need to sweat anymore!
......
"There it is—War City up ahead. Seriously, I can't believe we pulled off such a massive win this time!"
"You're totally right! I was just hoping to skim a little loot from the Mystic Tier, but who could've guessed we'd end up with all this treasure? It's like the heavens just dumped good luck on us—no way to stop it!"
"Exactly! As long as we follow the right boss, the perks are only gonna get crazier from here on out!"
......
On the way back to War City, the tomb-raiders were straight-up worshipping Ryan—every last one of them was hyped out of their minds.
"Say no more, bros—let's head back to War God Manor and throw a proper celebration!" Ryan was buzzing too. No question, this War Tomb raid had paid off most for him!
But just as they stepped into War City again, everyone noticed something wild had happened: the usual city guards were gone, swapped out for elite cultivators. And they clearly weren't locals—every one of them wore a badge with three big characters: Heaven-Earth Sect.
"What the hell? War City always ran its own defense—when did Heaven-Earth Sect take over?" One tomb-raider shouted, and everyone else looked uneasy too. This was a clear sign that something huge was brewing in the city.
"What do you think you're doing? Anyone who wants in has to get body-searched!" A swaggering guy tried to walk into War City.
He didn't even make it through the gate before the guards stopped him cold.
But the guy acted all cocky and yelled, "I've got a War God Manor token right here—who dares block me?"
"Heaven-Earth Sect runs things now. Doesn't matter whose token you've got—everyone gets frisked!" One of the guards bellowed, not even bothering to show respect to anyone.
Outnumbered, the guy had no choice—he let them search him before heading in.
Now the guards turned their gaze on Ryan's crew.
"Ryan, Heaven-Earth Sect are the worst. We've got power now—no need to bow to them. Let's just smash our way in!" The Elysium Sect woman huffed, clearly not about to let them frisk her for free.
But Ryan didn't know what was really happening inside the city, so making a move now was definitely not smart. He stayed cool and waved it off: "Let them search us. They're not gonna find anything anyway."
Everyone took Ryan's word as law, so they lined up and filed into the city. As they passed through, the guards started whispering among themselves.
"These are the ones the Hall Master wants. We'll let them in, then tip off the boss—catch everyone from War God Manor in one sweep!"
"Yeah, I'll go report in—make sure the brothers inside are ready. Looks like the siege on War God Manor's almost done. These guys are walking into a trap!"
...
A couple of Heaven-Earth Sect guys slipped off down a side path, heading straight for Marcus Wu's place in the city center. But with Ryan's new power, nothing escaped his notice.
No doubt about it—War God Manor was in deep trouble. Marcus Wu had pissed off Heaven-Earth Sect, and now they were probably swarming the place. He was half-step Ancestor, but Ryan could sense Ancestor-level auras in the city—no way Marcus could hold them off alone.

"Ryan, I can feel tons of powerful forces around that mansion up ahead. It's packed, and there are Heaven-Earth Sect guys everywhere—looks like things are about to get real." The Elysium woman called out, sensing the danger.
"Don't panic—it's not over yet. Let's get closer first." Ryan didn't hesitate; War God Manor wasn't just Marcus Wu's place, it was home to Lily and his crew. Even if it cost his life, he wouldn't let anything happen to them.
Just then, Ryan felt several powerful forces closing in—mostly Primordial-level experts. One was the War City peak Primordial Ryan had clashed with before. Now, with War God Manor under siege, he was itching for payback.
Here they come—they don't want us getting close. Planning to take us out early, huh? Ryan waved his hand, telling the weaker tomb-raiders to hang back—they'd be no match for Primordial experts.
In a flash, only Ryan and the Elysium woman were left standing. The peak Primordial swaggered over, eyes full of contempt, and taunted Ryan: "Well, well, look who it is. Didn't expect to see you here, huh?"
The guy kept running his mouth: "You used to have Marcus Wu covering for you, but now you're on your own. It's time I wiped you out—scared yet?"
