Sevenfold Phantom Spider
Ray worked together with his mother inside the Sanctum, making the bubble's temperature rise rapidly.
The demon finally got scared, howled twice, cast another spell, and a green eight-legged spider crawled out of Bobby's mouth.
Grace's eyes narrowed. She swung her Spirit-Binding Cord, wrapping up the green spider and pulling it into the Sanctum so it couldn't hurt anyone else.
Grace had read about this green spider in the books at the Celestial Library. It was called the Sevenfold Phantom Spider.
It burrowed into the seven orifices of its victims, paralyzing them with its venom, and then slowly devoured them...
Because when it burrowed into someone’s seven orifices, their face would sprout all sorts of horrifying things, turning into a ghostly mask.
Hence the name: Sevenfold Phantom Spider.
After the Sevenfold Phantom Spider left, Bobby collapsed to the ground, but those disgusting green scales remained on his face, making him look absolutely terrifying.
"Bobby, are you okay?"
"I think I'm fine," Bobby said, barely managing to stand as he waved at Grace. "It's just... I think I've been poisoned by the spider."
Grace tossed him a pill and said, "Take this. Wait a moment—I'll deal with him first, then come back to you."
Bobby swallowed the pill and nodded.
Grace angrily asked the lizard, "You have no grudge against Bobby and have never met him before. Why did you try to hurt him as soon as you saw him?"
"I just don't like the look of him!" the lizard said.
"So you want to kill someone just because you don't like their looks?" Grace nodded. "If that's your logic, then I really, really don't like the look of you!"
Ray said from inside the Sanctum, "Me too! Me too!"
"What are you doing? Ah, it's so hot! Let me go! I won't touch him again!"
"Ray! Finish him!"
"Okay, Mom." An orange light flashed inside the bubble... then the bubble burst.
"Spare him!" a woman's voice rang out.
Grace turned her head and saw Lady Sophia flying over with Lady Jincy.
Obviously, she was the one who broke the bubble.
The demon hurriedly ran back to Lady Sophia's side.
"Lady Sophia," Grace frowned and greeted her.
"Miss, please spare him," Lady Sophia said. "This beast is with me."
"He hurt my friend," Grace said, pointing at Bobby.
Lady Sophia frowned at the lizard. "What trouble are you causing now?"
"Mother, I just wanted to bring him back," the lizard said. "He looks a lot like Lady Jincy. If you have him with you, it might ease your longing a bit."
"Nonsense!" Lady Sophia scolded. "If you dare do this again, you won't get off easy."
"Yes, Mother," the lizard said, giving Lady Sophia an embarrassed smile, his eyes full of attachment.
Lady Sophia took out a pill and handed it to Bobby. "Take this," she said.
Bobby took it, put it in his mouth, and the scales on his face quickly fell off. He was fully restored, looking even better than before.
"Thank you, Lady Sophia," Bobby said joyfully.
"This beast is a foster son I took in on the Demon Wasteland," Lady Sophia said. "I planned to visit his lair after leaving today, so I brought him along. I didn't expect him to almost hurt someone. I'm terribly sorry!"
"It's fine!" Bobby said. "Lady Sophia, please take him away."
Lady Sophia nodded to Bobby and left with the lizard.
"Why would a dignified Lady Sophia take a little demon as her foster son?" Grace wondered.
"Maybe it's because he looks like Lady Sophia's missing son," Bobby said.
