Lily Bai Runs for Her Life

1/4/2026

Its armored scales gleamed with a steel-like sheen, and the razor-sharp claws on its feet looked deadly and unstoppable.

Lily Bai figured—even if her spiritual power weren’t sealed, she’d still stand zero chance against this beast.

No wonder this is the Primeval Demon Wilds!

Any random spirit beast here could probably scare entire cities senseless and wreak havoc wherever it goes...

The Ten Wilds Continent has three major beast domains: Beast Demon Wilds, Earth Demon Wilds, and Primeval Demon Wilds.

All the highest-ranked demon beasts gather in the Primeval Demon Wilds.

Even the Divine Clan doesn’t dare approach this place lightly.

...

But right now, that Red-crested Golden Eagle looked like it was running for its life.

A buzzing sound rose up, and then a swarm of black things chased after it.

It took Lily Bai a long moment to finally recognize them—they looked like Mystic Bees.

Normally, Mystic Bees are golden, about the size of a fist, and packed with deadly venom. If a hunter gets swarmed, they’re basically doomed.

But this swarm was jet-black, every single bee as big as a pheasant. The sight of that dense cloud made Lily’s skin crawl.

Mystic Bees are masters of short-range teleportation.

Legend has it, the Divine Movement Technique was inspired by the way Mystic Bees fly.

In a flash, they swarmed the Red-crested Golden Eagle, covering its entire body.

A split second later, a perfectly clean skeleton dropped out of the sky.

Those Mystic Bees seemed to spot fresh prey and started flying upward.

Lily Bai bolted in a panic, running for her life.

Luckily, they didn’t dare invade the palace. They circled the Stone Altar once and then retreated.

"Holy crap! Thank goodness I didn’t use the teleportation talisman," Lily Bai gasped, patting her chest.

If she’d tried to jump down just now, she’d probably be a skeleton clattering at the bottom too!

She had to trust her instincts at all times.

That path was a dead end. Resolutely, she headed toward the front slope of the mountain.

She slipped through the garden, passed several moon-gate archways, and arrived at the edge of a gigantic plaza.

After scoping out the route, she realized that to get down the front of the mountain, she’d have to cross that plaza.

The plaza was completely deserted.

But walking through such an open space made her way too easy to spot.

Lily Bai drew an Invisibility Talisman on her clothes with her own blood, vanished, and dashed across the plaza.

The plaza was paved with divine stone.

Divine stone is the hardest material in this world—only spiritual or divine power can make even a dent in it.

Lily Bai had once slashed at divine stone with her Heavenly Sword at full force, but it only left the faintest, almost invisible scratch.

Yet the divine stone paving here was covered in anti-slip grooves.

Those grooves looked suspiciously like... claw marks from some gigantic bird.

If it really was, then what kind of bird could do that?

Was it Azure Flame?

Just then, the light suddenly dimmed.

Lily Bai looked up and saw a colossal Sky Beast, so massive it blocked out the sun, flying by at a leisurely pace.

The creature’s overwhelming presence nearly crushed her to the ground.

Even worse, that oppressive aura instantly shattered her Invisibility Talisman.

What the heck was that thing?

She hurriedly backed away, trying to find somewhere to hide.

"Ow!" Something yelped under her foot.

Lily Bai looked down and instantly leapt back in shock.

It was... an ant?

No, wait—a whole team of ants.

She’d just stepped on one of them.

Each ant was two or three feet long, with red cloud-patterned wings, long legs, big eyes, and golden rings around their necks.

"Human! It’s a human!" the ant she’d stepped on shouted, looking absolutely murderous.

Then, the golden rings around their necks flashed, releasing strands of golden rope-like light that wrapped her up like a dumpling.
