It was just after 6 p.m. when I finished dinner and returned to my mother's room. My parents still hadn't come back, and I had no idea where they'd gone. The Hades Circle Denizens said they wouldn't be back for several days, but I didn't ask.
I talked to those Minor Sect members about quite a few things. They were all very surprised, since the Buddhist and Daoist factions had never shared this information with them, and some things were even deliberately concealed.
I had just finished speaking, and while I was eating, several Hades Circle Agents came looking for me. They talked about all sorts of things, but basically told me there was no need to disclose these matters to them. All they needed to do was follow the instructions of the major sects.
Tan Tian still stood guard outside my door. He rarely strayed more than five meters from me, always keeping watch at my side. I understood why: I might be the only one capable of achieving what Tan Tian and the Nether Syndicate had been striving for all these years.
At that moment, my phone rang. I answered.
"Mom, where are you guys?"
I asked, and the voice on the other end sounded a bit noisy.
"Roxie, why did you tell those Minor Sect members about these things?"
"Is there a problem?"
Annoyed, I stared out the window at the Hades Circle Agents still gathered in some of the shacks below.
