"Nothing much, just want that guy to turn around so we can get a look at him—let's call it making a new friend."
Sunny Sun sped up, glancing back at Rachel Liu and flashing what he thought was a charming smile. "Relax, I'm not going to do anything to him."
"We're all civilized people here. Let's just say hi and get to know each other."
Sunny's family had some money, and he'd always been great at basketball. In middle school, he was the sports committee member, and in high school, he was even captain of the basketball team.
Until now, he'd always been the white-horse prince in the eyes of all the girls.
Usually, girls chased after him—he'd never actually pursued anyone himself.
Even in college, Sunny Sun was a hot commodity in his department, and thanks to his basketball skills, he'd made it onto the university team as a freshman, playing in plenty of games.
Girls confessed to him, but Sunny only had eyes for Rachel Liu—and she didn't care about him at all. For the first time, Sunny felt defeated.
But the more setbacks, the more determined he became.
That's Sunny Sun's mindset right now.
This was the first time Sunny Sun had ever actively chased a girl, and Rachel Liu hadn't even spared him a glance. Now, seeing Rachel fixated on some random guy, he was completely stunned.
Sunny Sun was seriously unhappy about this.
Sunny Sun strode forward, taking big, fast steps.
Years of basketball had made his arms much stronger than most.
"Looks like Sunny Sun is jealous," someone joked.
"But I'm curious too—what kind of guy could hold Rachel's gaze for so long?" another girl nodded.
"Haha, maybe he's a little handsome from behind," someone said.
Everyone kept chatting about it.
Rachel Liu opened her mouth, wanting to stop Sunny, but after thinking it over, she figured Evan Lin should be studying in Harborview, not Oceanport.
So she stayed silent.
"Nothing much, just want that guy to turn around so we can get a look. Let's make a new friend, that's all."
Sunny Sun quickened his pace, glancing back at Rachel Liu with what he thought was a super charming smile. "Relax, I'm not gonna mess with him."
"We're all civilized people here, just wanna get to know him, that's all."
Sunny's family had a bit of money, and he'd always been great at basketball. Back in middle school, he was the sports committee rep, and in high school, he even captained the school team.
Up till now, he'd always been the white-horse prince in the eyes of all the girls.

Plenty of girls had confessed to him, but now Sunny was into Rachel Liu—and she couldn't care less. For the first time ever, Sunny felt what it was like to lose.
But setbacks only made him more determined.
That's Sunny's mindset right now.
This was the first time Sunny Sun had ever actively chased a girl, and Rachel Liu hadn't even spared him a glance. Now, seeing Rachel fixated on some random guy, he was completely stunned.

So she stayed silent.
Rachel Liu looked over, feeling a bit curious about what that boy looked like.
From behind, the boy looked so much like Evan Lin it was almost uncanny.
Everyone watched quietly as Sunny Sun strode through the crowd.
"Hey! You up there!"
Sunny Sun called out, picking up his pace: "I'm talking to you!"
But the guy didn't even turn around, totally ignoring him. That made Sunny Sun even more annoyed.
He went from walking quickly to outright running.
"Hey, I'm talking to you—stop for a second."
He reached the boy, and reached out to tap his shoulder.
His hand hadn't even touched him yet.
The boy paused, turned his head, and gave Sunny Sun a calm look.
"You talking to me?"
Evan Lin's expression was calm as he looked at Sunny Sun.
"Uh, yeah."
Sunny Sun was stunned for a moment.
"Something you need?"
Sunny Sun finally snapped out of it and grinned: "Not much, just some friends over there want to meet you."
"Over there."
Sunny Sun turned around, about to point at Rachel Liu and the others at the school gate.
He thought the boy looked clean and delicate, but nothing too special.
But as Sunny Sun turned around, he noticed the group at Oceanport University gate seemed off.
Especially Rachel Liu.
Rachel Liu stood there, stiff and wide-eyed. Her usually cold face was now full of complex emotions.
Her expression kept changing, her gaze fixed from afar.
Sunny Sun noticed Rachel Liu's gaze went right past him to the boy behind.
He'd never seen Rachel Liu like this before.
Many students stopped in their tracks, drawn in by the strange atmosphere.
Rachel?
Someone next to Rachel Liu called her name cautiously.
It seemed that when the boy turned around, Rachel Liu was frozen in place.
Just as someone finished speaking, they saw Rachel Liu bite her lip and, as if making up her mind, step toward the boy.
She walked through the crowd, her beautiful face full of nervousness and complicated emotions.
Sunny Sun was frozen, just watching Rachel Liu walk toward them step by step.
Did she really know this guy?
But why?
Sunny Sun couldn't figure it out; his mind was blank.
Rachel Liu didn't walk fast, but before long, she was almost in front of them.
