Battle

"Where is this place?"

I stared around in astonishment. The sun was dim and yellow, and the air was thick with a nauseating stench of blood. Corpses were piled haphazardly everywhere, surrounded by a desolate wilderness.

The earth was stained with blood, corpses stacked like mountains. I stared wide-eyed as a gust of sand swept past, carrying sparks and ashes. Many spots still smoked with black fumes. I had never witnessed such a scene of utter carnage before.

"Ah..."

Suddenly, I saw two figures in the distance, their weapons clashing with a metallic ring. I hurried over, gradually drawing closer.

But as I approached, I saw more than just two figures. Before my eyes, a vast army stood in tight formation behind the two combatants.

"You're a woman, yet so stubborn. Princess of the Ji family, you're the last one left—still unwilling to surrender?"

I saw a burly man in armor, wielding a broadsword—he looked like a general. In front of him was a woman: Yuna Ji. I was stunned, staring at Yuna Ji in that moment.

Yuna Ji's long hair flowed behind her. On her back, nine strips of cloth in different colors, each inscribed with small characters, fluttered like banners in the wind. At this moment, Yuna Ji was half-kneeling on the ground, her left hand bracing the earth, her right hand gripping a long spear, about three meters long, completely stained with blood.

The long spear in Yuna Ji's hand was bound to her right wrist with fine metallic threads. Though the spear looked slender, its blade—despite being smeared with blood—still gleamed coldly. The spearhead was conical, with a slightly curved edge on the left and a row of long spikes on the right.
