I still can't quite understand what Luna Quay really wants.

"What exactly are you..."

Just as I finished speaking, Luna Quay, who had been blocking my Deathbane Aura Blade with the back of his hand, suddenly raised his head and gripped my sword with both hands.

"Words are useless, Master Ethan."

The Deathbane Aura Blade in my hands instantly dissolved into smoke and dust. Luna Quay withdrew his hand, then he extended a hand—so fast it was like lightning—reaching my chest in a split second.

I roared as the Deathbane Aura overflowing from my chest slowly condensed into black ice. With a thunderous crash, the immense force pierced through my body, sending shards of black ice scattering across the sky as my body turned to mist.

"Luna Quay, hurry! I can't hold on much longer. If we miss this timing, things will get ugly."

I dared not approach Luna Quay again. In that split second, I could feel it—if Luna Quay truly wished, he could defeat me in an instant.

I transformed into wisps of mist, drifting around as I silently watched Luna Quay floating in midair. His face was expressionless as he looked my way, but an indescribable feeling overcame me.

In a flash, Luna Quay was already right in front of me.
